2Jehuיֵה֣וּאye.Hu'H3058sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Hananiחֲנָ֘נִי֮cha.Na.niH2607the seerהַחֹזֶה֒ha.cho.ZehH2374went outוַיֵּצֵ֣אvai.ye.Tze'H3318toאֶל־'el-H413confront himפָּנָ֗יוpa.NavH6440and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Jehoshaphatיְהוֹשָׁפָ֔טye.ho.sha.FatH3092, “Should you helpלַעְזֹ֔רla'.ZorH5826the wickedהֲלָרָשָׁ֣עha.la.ra.Sha'H7563and loveתֶּאֱהָ֑בte.'e.HavH157those who hateוּלְשֹׂנְאֵ֥יu.le.so.ne.'EiH8130the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068?Because of thisוּבָזֹאת֙u.va.zoTH2063,the wrathקֶּ֔צֶףKe.tzefH7110of the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068isupon youעָלֶ֣יךָ מִלִּפְנֵ֖י'a.Lei.kha mi.lif.NeiH6440 H5921.

3Howeverאֲבָ֕ל'a.ValH61,someדְּבָרִ֥יםde.va.RimH1697goodטוֹבִ֖יםto.VimH2896is foundנִמְצְא֣וּnim.tze.'UH4672in youעִמָּ֑ךְ'i.MakhH5973,forכִּֽי־ki-H3588you have removedבִעַ֤רְתָּvi.'Ar.taH1197the Asherah polesהָאֲשֵׁרוֹת֙ha.'a.she.rOtH842fromמִן־min-H4480the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776and have setוַהֲכִינ֥וֹתָva.ha.khi.No.taH3559your heartלְבָבְךָ֖le.va.ve.KhaH3824on seekingלִדְרֹ֥שׁlid.RoshH1875Godהָֽאֱלֹהִֽים׃Ha.'E.lo.HimH430.”

5He appointedוַיַּעֲמֵ֨דvai.ya.'a.MedH5975judgesשֹֽׁפְטִ֜יםsho.fe.TimH8199in the landבָּאָ֗רֶץba.'A.retzH776,in each ofבְּכָל־be.kholH3605עָרֵ֧י'a.ReiH5892לְעִ֥ירle.'IrH5892the fortifiedהַבְּצֻר֖וֹתha.be.tzu.RotH1219citiesוָעִֽיר׃va.'IrH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֛הye.hu.DahH3063.

6Then he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413the judgesהַשֹּֽׁפְטִ֗יםha.sho.fe.TimH8199, “Consider carefullyרְאוּ֙re.'UH7200whatמָֽה־mah-H4100youאַתֶּ֣ם'a.TemH859doעֹשִׂ֔ים'o.SimH6213,forכִּ֣יkiH3588you are notלֹ֧אlo'H3808judgingתִּשְׁפְּט֖וּtish.pe.TuH8199for manלְאָדָ֛םle.'a.DamH120,butכִּ֣יkiH3588for the LORDלַיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068,who is with youוְעִמָּכֶ֖םve.'i.ma.KhemH5973when you render judgmentבִּדְבַ֥ר מִשְׁפָּֽט׃bid.Var mish.PatH1697 H4941.

7And nowוְעַתָּ֕הve.'a.TahH6258,may the fearפַֽחַד־fa.chad-H6343of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068beיְהִ֥יye.HiH1961upon youעֲלֵיכֶ֑ם'a.lei.KhemH5921.Be carefulשִׁמְר֣וּshim.RuH8104what you doוַעֲשׂ֔וּva.'a.SuH6213,forכִּֽי־ki-H3588withעִם־'im-H5973the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430there is noאֵ֞ין'einH369injusticeעַוְלָ֛ה'av.LahH5766or partialityוּמַשֹּׂ֥א פָנִ֖יםu.ma.So' fa.NimH4856 H6440or briberyוּמִקַּח־ שֹֽׁחַד׃u.mi.kach- Sho.chadH4727 H7810.”

9He commanded themוַיְצַ֥ו עֲלֵיהֶ֖םvay.Tzav 'a.lei.HemH6680 H5921,sayingלֵאמֹ֑ר כֹּ֤הle.Mor kohH559 H3541, “You must serveתַעֲשׂוּן֙ta.'a.SunH6213faithfullyבֶּאֱמוּנָ֖הbe.'e.mu.NahH530and wholeheartedlyוּבְלֵבָ֥ב שָׁלֵֽם׃u.ve.le.Vav sha.LemH8003 H3824in the fearבְּיִרְאַ֣תbe.yir.'AtH3374of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068.
