2So he went outוַיֵּצֵא֮vai.ye.Tze'H3318to meetלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440Asaאָסָא֒'a.Sa'H609and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “Listen to meשְׁמָע֕וּנִיshe.ma.'U.niH8085,Asaאָסָ֖א'a.Sa'H609and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605Judahיְהוּדָ֣הye.hu.DahH3063and Benjaminוּבִנְיָמִ֑ןu.vin.ya.MinH1144.The LORDיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068is with youעִמָּכֶם֙'i.ma.KhemH5973when you areבִּֽהְיֽוֹתְכֶ֣םbih.yot.KhemH1961with Himעִמּ֔וֹi.MoH5973.Ifוְאִֽם־ve.'im-H518you seek Himתִּדְרְשֻׁ֙הוּ֙tid.re.Shu.huH1875,He will be foundיִמָּצֵ֣אyi.ma.Tze'H4672by you,but ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518you forsake Himתַּעַזְבֻ֖הוּta.'az.Vu.huH5800,He will forsakeיַעֲזֹ֥בya.'a.ZoH5800youאֶתְכֶֽם׃ ס'et.KhemH853.

3For manyרַבִּ֖יםra.BimH7227yearsוְיָמִ֥יםve.ya.MimH3117Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לle.Yis.ra.'ElH3478has been withoutלְלֹ֣א׀le.Lo'H3808the trueאֱמֶ֗ת'e.MetH571Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430,withoutוּלְלֹ֛אu.le.Lo'H3808a priestכֹּהֵ֥ןko.HenH3548to instruct themמוֹרֶ֖הmo.RehH3384,and withoutוּלְלֹ֥אu.le.Lo'H3808the lawתוֹרָֽה׃to.RahH8451.

4But in their distressבַּצַּר־ba.tzar-H6862they turnedוַיָּ֙שָׁב֙vai.Ya.shovH7725toעַל־'al-H5921the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and sought Himוַיְבַקְשֻׁ֖הוּvay.vak.Shu.huH1245,and He was foundוַיִּמָּצֵ֥אvai.yi.ma.Tze'H4672by them.

5In thoseהָהֵ֔םha.HemH1992daysוּבָעִתִּ֣יםu.va.'i.TimH6256there was noאֵ֥ין'einH369safetyשָׁל֖וֹםsha.LomH7965for travelersלַיּוֹצֵ֣א וְלַבָּ֑אlai.yo.Tze' ve.la.Ba'H3318 H935,becauseכִּ֚יkiH3588the residentsיוֹשְׁבֵ֖יyo.she.VeiH3427of the landsהָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃ha.'a.ra.TzotH776hadעַ֥ל כָּל־'al kol-H5921 H3605manyרַבּ֔וֹתra.BotH7227conflictsמְהוּמֹ֣תme.hu.MotH4103.

6Nationגוֹי־goy-H1471was crushedוְכֻתְּת֥וּve.khu.te.TuH3807by nationבְּג֖וֹיbe.GoyH1471,and cityוְעִ֣ירve.'IrH5892by cityבְּעִ֑ירbe.'IrH5892,forכִּֽי־ki-H3588Godאֱלֹהִ֥ים'E.lo.HimH430afflicted themהֲמָמָ֖םha.ma.MamH2000with all kinds ofבְּכָל־be.kholH3605adversityצָרָֽה׃tza.RahH6869.

7But as for youוְאַתֶּ֣םve.'a.TemH859,be strongחִזְק֔וּchiz.KuH2388;do notוְאַל־ve.'al-H408be discouragedיִרְפּ֖וּ יְדֵיכֶ֑םyir.Pu ye.dei.KhemH7503 H3027,forכִּ֛יkiH3588your workלִפְעֻלַּתְכֶֽם׃ סlif.'u.lat.KhemH6468will beיֵ֥שׁyeshH3426rewardedשָׂכָ֖רsa.KharH7939.”

9And he assembledוַיִּקְבֹּ֗ץvai.yik.BotzH6908אֶת־'et-H853allכָּל־kol-H3605Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063and Benjaminוּבִנְיָמִ֔ןu.vin.ya.MinH1144,along with those from the tribes of Ephraimמֵאֶפְרַ֥יִםme.'ef.Ra.yimH669,Manassehוּמְנַשֶּׁ֖הu.me.na.ShehH4519,and Simeonוּמִשִּׁמְע֑וֹןu.mi.shim.'onH8095who had settledוְהַגָּרִים֙ve.ha.ga.RimH1481among themעִמָּהֶ֔ם'i.ma.HemH5973,forכִּֽי־ki-H3588great numbersלָרֹ֔בla.RoH7230had come overנָפְל֨וּna.fe.LuH5307to himעָלָ֤יו'a.LavH5921from Israelמִיִּשְׂרָאֵל֙mi.Yis.ra.'ElH3478when they sawבִּרְאֹתָ֕םbir.'o.TamH7200thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068his Godאֱלֹהָ֖יו'e.lo.HavH430was with himעִמּֽוֹ׃ פi.MoH5973.

10So they gathered togetherוַיִּקָּבְצ֥וּvai.yi.ka.ve.TzuH6908in Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389in the thirdהַשְּׁלִישִׁ֑יha.she.li.ShiH7992monthבַּחֹ֣דֶשׁba.Cho.deshH2320of the fifteenthחֲמֵשׁ־ עֶשְׂרֵ֖הcha.mesh- 'es.RehH2568 H6240yearלִשְׁנַ֥תlish.NatH8141of Asa’sאָסָֽא׃'a.Sa'H609reignלְמַלְכ֥וּתle.mal.KhutH4438.

13Andוְכֹ֨לve.KholH3605whoeverאֲשֶׁ֧ר'a.SherH834would notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808seekיִדְרֹ֛שׁyid.RoshH1875the LORDלַיהוָ֥הla.Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵֽי־'e.lo.hei-H430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,would be put to deathיוּמָ֑תyu.MatH4191,whetherלְמִן־le.min-H4480youngקָטֹן֙ka.TonH6996orוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704oldגָּד֔וֹלga.DolH1419,manלְמֵאִ֖ישׁle.me.'IshH376orוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704womanאִשָּֽׁה׃'i.ShahH802.

14They took an oathוַיִּשָּֽׁבְעוּ֙vai.yi.sha.ve.'UH7650to the LORDלַיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068with a loudגָּד֖וֹלga.DolH1419voiceבְּק֥וֹלbe.KolH6963,with shoutingוּבִתְרוּעָ֑הu.vit.ru.'AhH8643,trumpetsוּבַחֲצֹצְר֖וֹתu.va.cha.tzo.tze.RotH2689,and rams’ hornsוּבְשׁוֹפָרֽוֹת׃u.ve.sho.fa.RotH7782.

15And allכָל־khol-H3605Judahיְהוּדָ֜הye.hu.DahH3063rejoicedוַיִּשְׂמְח֨וּvai.yis.me.ChuH8055overעַל־'al-H5921the oathהַשְּׁבוּעָ֗הha.she.vu.'AhH7621,forכִּ֤יkiH3588they had swornנִשְׁבָּ֔עוּnish.Ba.'uH7650it with allבְכָל־ve.khol-H3605their heartלְבָבָם֙le.va.VamH3824.They had sought Himבִּקְשֻׁ֔הוּbik.Shu.huH1245earnestlyוּבְכָל־ רְצוֹנָ֣םu.ve.Khol- re.tzo.NamH3605 H7522,and He was foundוַיִּמָּצֵ֖אvai.yi.ma.Tze'H4672by them.So the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068gave them restוַיָּ֧נַחvai.Ya.nachH5117on every sideמִסָּבִֽיב׃mi.sa.VivH5439.

18And he broughtוַיָּבֵ֞אvai.ya.Ve'H935אֶת־'et-H853into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430the silverכֶּ֥סֶףKe.sefH3701and goldוְזָהָ֖בve.za.HavH2091and the articlesוְכֵלִֽים׃ve.khe.LimH3627that heקָדְשֵׁ֥יka.de.SheiH6944and his fatherאָבִ֛יו'a.VivH1had dedicatedוְקָֽדָשָׁ֖יוve.ka.da.ShavH6944.
