Romans 7:2-6
2For the womanG1135 that hath a husbandG435 is boundG1210 by lawG3551 to the husbandG435 while he liveth; but if the husbandG435 dieG599, she is discharged from the lawG3551 of the husbandG435. 3So thenG3767 if, while the husbandG435 liveth, she beG1510 joined to another manG435, she shall beG1510 called an adulteressG3428: but if the husbandG435 dieG599, she isG1510 freeG1658 from the lawG3551, so that she isG1510 no adulteressG3428, though she beG1510 joined to another manG435. 4Wherefore, my brethren, ye alsoG2532 were made deadG3498 to the lawG3551 through the bodyG4983 of ChristG5547; that ye should be joined to another, evenG2532 to him who was raisedG1453 from the deadG3498, that we might bring forth fruitG2592 unto GodG2316. 5For whenG3753 we wereG1510 in the fleshG4561, the sinful passionsG3804, which wereG1510 through the lawG3551, wrought in our membersG3196 to bring forth fruitG2592 unto deathG2288. 6But nowG1161 we have been discharged from the lawG3551, having diedG599 to that wherein we were held; so that we serveG1398 in newnessG2538 of the spiritG4151, and not in oldness of the letterG1121.
