Matthew 26:47-54
47And while he yet spake, lo, JudasG2455, oneG1520 of the twelveG1427, cameG2064, and with him a greatG4183 multitudeG3793 with swordsG3162 and staves, from the chiefG749 priestsG749 and eldersG4245 of the peopleG2992. 48NowG1161 he that betrayedG3860 him gaveG1325 them a signG4592, sayingG3004, Whomsoever I shall kissG5368, that isG1510 he: takeG2902 him. 49And straightway he cameG4334 to JesusG2424, and saidG3004, HailG5463, RabbiG4461; and kissed him. 50And JesusG2424 saidG3004 unto him, FriendG2083, do that for which thou art comeG4334. Then they cameG4334 and laidG1911 handsG5495 on JesusG2424, and tookG2902 him. 51And beholdG2400, oneG1520 of them that were with JesusG2424 stretchedG1614 out his handG5495, and drew his swordG3162, and smote the servantG1401 of the highG749 priestG749, and struckG3960 off his earG5621. 52ThenG5119 saith JesusG2424 unto him, Put up again thy swordG3162 into its placeG5117: for all they that takeG2983 the swordG3162 shall perishG622 with the swordG3162. 53Or thinkest thou that I cannot beseech my FatherG3962, and he shall evenG2532 now send me moreG4183 than twelveG1427 legionsG3003 of angelsG32? 54HowG4459 thenG3767 should the scripturesG1124 be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
