James 5

1ComeG1904 nowG3568, ye richG4145, weepG2799 and howl for your miseries that are comingG1904 upon you. 2Your richesG4149 are corrupted, and your garmentsG2440 are moth-eaten. 3Your goldG5557 and your silverG696 areG1510 rusted; and their rust shall beG1510 for a testimonyG3142 against you, and shall eatG2068 your fleshG4561 as fireG4442. Ye have laid up your treasure in the lastG2078 daysG2250. 4BeholdG2400, the hire of the laborers who mowed your fieldsG5561, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth out: and the criesG2896 of them that reapedG2325 have enteredG1525 into the earsG3775 of the LordG2962 of Sabaoth. 5Ye have lived delicately on the earthG1093, and taken your pleasure; ye have nourishedG5142 your heartsG2588 in a dayG2250 of slaughterG4967. 6Ye have condemned, ye have killed the righteousG1342 oneG3588; he doth not resist you.

7Be patientG3114 thereforeG3767, brethren, until the coming of the LordG2962. BeholdG2400, the husbandman waiteth for the preciousG5093 fruitG2590 of the earthG1093, being patientG3114 over it, until it receiveG2983 the early and latter rain. 8Be ye alsoG2532 patientG3114; establish your heartsG2588: for the coming of the LordG2962 is at hand. 9Murmur not, brethren, oneG240 against another, that ye be not judgedG2919: beholdG2400, the judgeG2919 standeth before the doorsG2374. 10TakeG2983, brethren, for an exampleG5262 of suffering and of patienceG3115, the prophetsG4396 who spake in the nameG3686 of the LordG2962. 11BeholdG2400, we call them blessed that enduredG5278: ye have heardG191 of the patience of Job, and have seenG3708 the endG5056 of the LordG2962, how that the LordG2962 isG1510 full of pity, and mercifulG3629.

12But above all thingsG3956, my brethren, swearG3660 not, neither by the heavenG3772, nor by the earthG1093, nor by any otherG243 oathG3727: but let your yea beG1510 yea, and your nay, nay; that ye fallG4098 not under judgmentG2920.

13Is any among you suffering? let him prayG4336. Is any cheerful? let him singG5567 praise. 14Is any among you sickG770? let him callG4341 for the eldersG4245 of the churchG1577; and let them prayG4336 over him, anointing him with oilG1637 in the nameG3686 of the LordG2962: 15and the prayer of faithG4102 shall saveG4982 him that isG1510 sick, and the LordG2962 shall raiseG1453 him up; and if he have committed sinsG266, it shall beG1510 forgivenG863 him. 16ConfessG1843 thereforeG3767 your sinsG266 oneG240 to another, and prayG2172 oneG240 for another, that ye may be healedG2390. The supplicationG1162 of a righteousG1342 manG1342 availeth muchG4183 in its workingG1754. 17ElijahG2243 wasG1510 a manG444 of like passions with us, and he prayedG4336 fervently that it might not rainG1026; and it rainedG1026 not on the earthG1093 for threeG5140 yearsG1763 and sixG1803 monthsG3376. 18And he prayedG4336 againG3825; and the heavenG3772 gaveG1325 rainG5205, and the earthG1093 brought forth her fruitG2590.

19My brethren, if any among you err from the truthG225, and oneG5100 convert him; 20let him knowG1097, that he who converteth a sinnerG268 from the errorG4106 of his wayG3598 shall saveG4982 a soulG5590 from deathG2288, and shall coverG2572 a multitudeG4128 of sinsG266.
