2 Kings 4:23-42

23And he saidH559, Wherefore wilt thou goH1980 to him to-day? it is neither newH2320 moonH2320 nor sabbathH7676. And she saidH559, It shall be well. 24Then she saddledH2280 an ass, and saidH559 to her servantH5288, Drive, and go forward; slacken me not the ridingH7392, except I bid thee. 25So she wentH935, and cameH935 unto the manH376 of GodH430 to mount CarmelH3760.

And it cameH935 to pass, when the manH376 of GodH430 sawH7200 her afar off, that he saidH559 to GehaziH1522 his servantH5288, Behold, yonder is the ShunammiteH7767: 26runH7323, I pray thee, nowH6258 to meet her, and sayH559 unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husbandH376? is it well with the childH3206? And she answered, It is well. 27And when she cameH935 to the manH376 of GodH430 to the hillH2022, she caught holdH2388 of his feetH7272. And GehaziH1522 cameH935 near to thrust her away; but the manH376 of GodH430 saidH559, Let her alone: for her soulH5315 is vexed within her; and Jehovah hath hid it from me, and hath not toldH5046 me. 28Then she saidH559, Did I desire a sonH1121 of my lordH113? did I not sayH559, Do not deceive me? 29Then he saidH559 to GehaziH1522, GirdH2296 up thy loinsH4975, and takeH3947 my staffH4938 in thy handH3027, and go thy way: if thou meet any manH376, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answerH6030 him not again: and lay my staffH4938 upon the faceH6440 of the child. 30And the motherH517 of the child saidH559, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soulH5315 liveth, I will not leaveH5800 thee. And he aroseH6965, and followed her. 31And GehaziH1522 passedH5674 on before them, and laid the staffH4938 upon the faceH6440 of the child; but there was neither voiceH6963, nor hearing. Wherefore he returnedH7725 to meet him, and toldH5046 him, sayingH559, The child is not awaked.

32And when ElishaH477 was comeH935 into the houseH1004, behold, the child was deadH4191, and laidH7901 upon his bedH4296. 33He wentH935 in therefore, and shutH5462 the doorH1817 upon them twain, and prayedH6419 unto Jehovah. 34And he wentH5927 up, and layH7901 upon the childH3206, and putH7760 his mouthH6310 upon his mouthH6310, and his eyesH5869 upon his eyesH5869, and his handsH3709 upon his handsH3709: and he stretched himself upon him; and the fleshH1320 of the childH3206 waxed warmH2552. 35Then he returnedH7725, and walked in the houseH1004 once to and fro; and wentH5927 up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed sevenH7651 timesH6471, and the child openedH6491 his eyesH5869. 36And he calledH7121 GehaziH1522, and saidH559, CallH7121 this ShunammiteH7767. So he calledH7121 her. And when she was comeH935 in unto him, he saidH559, TakeH5375 up thy sonH1121. 37Then she wentH3318 in, and fellH5307 at his feetH7272, and bowedH7812 herself to the groundH776; and she tookH5375 up her sonH1121, and wentH3318 out.

38And ElishaH477 came again to GilgalH1537. And there was a dearth in the landH776; and the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030 were sittingH3427 before him; and he saidH559 unto his servantH5288, Set on the greatH1419 potH5518, and boilH1310 pottage for the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030. 39And oneH259 wentH3318 out into the fieldH7704 to gatherH3950 herbs, and foundH4672 a wild vineH1612, and gatheredH3950 thereof wild gourds his lap full, and cameH935 and shred them into the potH5518 of pottage; for they knewH3045 them not. 40So they pouredH3332 out for the menH376 to eatH398. And it came to pass, as they wereH1961 eatingH398 of the pottage, that they criedH6817 out, and saidH559, O manH376 of GodH430, there is deathH4194 in the potH5518. And they could not eatH398 thereof. 41But he saidH559, Then bring meal. And he castH7993 it into the potH5518; and he saidH559, PourH3332 out for the peopleH5971, that they may eatH398. And there wasH1961 no harmH7451 in the potH5518.

42And there cameH935 a manH376 from Baal-shalishah, and broughtH935 the manH376 of GodH430 breadH3899 of the first-fruits, twentyH6242 loaves of barleyH8184, and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And he saidH559, GiveH5414 unto the peopleH5971, that they may eatH398.
