2 Corinthians 4
1Therefore seeing we have this ministryG1248, even as we obtained mercyG1653, we faint not: 2but we have renounced the hidden thingsG3956 of shameG152, not walkingG4043 in craftinessG3834, nor handling the wordG3056 of GodG2316 deceitfully; but by the manifestationG5321 of the truthG225 commendingG4921 ourselves to every man’sG444 conscienceG4893 in the sight of GodG2316. 3And evenG2532 if our gospelG2098 isG1510 veiled, it isG1510 veiled in them that perishG622: 4in whom the godG2316 of this world hath blindedG5186 the mindsG3540 of the unbelievingG571, that the light of the gospelG2098 of the gloryG1391 of ChristG5547, who isG1510 the imageG1504 of GodG2316, should not dawn upon them. 5For we preachG2784 not ourselves, but ChristG5547 JesusG2424 as LordG2962, and ourselves as your servantsG1401 for Jesus’G2424 sakeG1223. 6Seeing it is GodG2316, that saidG3004, LightG5457 shall shineG2989 out of darknessG4655, who shinedG2989 in our heartsG2588, to give the lightG5457 of the knowledgeG1108 of the gloryG1391 of GodG2316 in the faceG4383 of Jesus ChristG5547.
7But we have this treasureG2344 in earthenG3749 vesselsG4632, that the exceeding greatness of the powerG1411 may beG1510 of GodG2316, and not from ourselves; 8we are pressed on every side, yetG235 not straitened; perplexedG639, yetG235 not unto despair; 9pursued, yetG235 not forsakenG1459; smitten down, yetG235 not destroyedG622; 10alwaysG3842 bearing about in the bodyG4983 the dying of JesusG2424, that the lifeG2222 alsoG2532 of JesusG2424 may be manifestedG5319 in our bodyG4983. 11For we who liveG2198 are alwaysG104 deliveredG3860 unto deathG2288 for Jesus’G2424 sakeG1223, that the lifeG2222 alsoG2532 of JesusG2424 may be manifestedG5319 in our mortalG2349 fleshG4561. 12So thenG1161 deathG2288 worketh in us, but lifeG2222 in you. 13But having the sameG846 spiritG4151 of faithG4102, accordingG2596 to that which is writtenG1125, I believedG4100, and thereforeG1352 did I speakG2980; we alsoG2532 believeG4100, and thereforeG1352 alsoG2532 we speakG2980; 14knowing that he that raisedG1453 up the LordG2962 JesusG2424 shall raiseG1453 up us alsoG2532 with JesusG2424, and shall presentG3936 us with you. 15For all thingsG3956 are for your sakesG1223, that the graceG5485, being multiplied through the manyG4183, may cause the thanksgivingG2169 to aboundG4052 unto the gloryG1391 of GodG2316.
16Wherefore we faint not; but though our outward manG444 is decaying, yet our inward manG444 is renewedG341 dayG2250 by dayG2250. 17For our light afflictionG2347, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternalG166 weight of gloryG1391; 18while we lookG991 not at the things which are seenG991, but at the things which are not seenG991: for the things which are seenG991 are temporal; but the things which are not seenG991 are eternalG166.
