Matthew 10:29-39

291Are twoG1417 sparrowsG4765 not soldG4453 for an 2assarionG787? And yet not oneG1520 of them will fallG4098 to the groundG1093 apartG427 from your FatherG3962. 30But 3evenG2532 the hairsG2359 of your headG2776 are allG3956 countedG705. 31SoG3767 do not fearG5399; 4you are moreG1308 valuableG1308 than a greatG4183 numberG4183 of sparrowsG4765.

32“ThereforeG3767, 5everyoneG3956 whoG3748 6confessesG3670 Me beforeG1715 peopleG444, I will alsoG2532 confessG3670 7him beforeG1715 My FatherG3962 who is in heavenG3772. 33But 8whoeverG3748G302 deniesG720 Me beforeG1715 peopleG444, I will alsoG2532 denyG720 him beforeG1715 My FatherG3962 who is in heavenG3772.

34“9Do not thinkG3543 that I cameG2064 to 10bringG906 peaceG1515 on the earthG1093; I did not comeG2064 to 11bringG906 peaceG1515, but a swordG3162. 35For I cameG2064 to 12turnG1369 a manG444 againstG2596 his fatherG3962, and a daughterG2364 againstG2596 her motherG3384, and a daughter-in-lawG3565 againstG2596 her mother-in-lawG3994; 36and 13a person’sG444 enemiesG2190 will be the membersG3615 of his householdG3615.

37“14The one who lovesG5368 fatherG3962 orG2228 motherG3384 moreG5228 thanG5228 Me is not worthyG514 of Me; and the one who lovesG5368 sonG5207 orG2228 daughterG2364 moreG5228 thanG5228 Me is not worthyG514 of Me. 38And 15the one whoG3739 does not takeG2983 his crossG4716 and followG190 afterG3694 Me is not worthyG514 of Me. 3916The one who has foundG2147 his 17lifeG5590 will loseG622 it, and the one who has lostG622 his 18lifeG5590 on My accountG1752 will findG2147 it.
