5Then the cupbearerהַמַּשְׁקֶ֣הha.mash.KehH4945and the bakerוְהָאֹפֶ֗הve.ha.'o.PehH644for the kingלְמֶ֣לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,whoH834were confinedאֲסוּרִ֖ים'a.su.RimH631in the prisonבְּבֵ֥ית הַסֹּֽהַר׃be.Veit ha.So.harH1004 H5470,bothשְׁנֵיהֶ֜םshe.nei.HemH8147hadוַיַּֽחַלְמוּ֩vai.ya.chal.MuH2492a dreamחֲל֨וֹםcha.LomH2472the sameאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259nightבְּלַ֣יְלָהbe.Lay.lahH3915,eachH376manH376with his owndreamחֲלֹמוֹ֙cha.lo.MoH2472andeachH376dreamחֲלֹמ֑וֹcha.lo.MoH2472with its owninterpretationכְּפִתְר֣וֹןke.fit.RonH6623.

6When Josephיוֹסֵ֖ףyo.SefH3130cameוַיָּבֹ֧אvai.ya.Vo'H935to them in the morningבַּבֹּ֑קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242and sawוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200them,beholdH2009,they were dejectedזֹעֲפִֽים׃zo.'a.FimH2196.

7So he askedוַיִּשְׁאַ֞לvai.yish.'AlH7592Pharaoh’sפַרְעֹ֗הfar.'OhH6547officialsסְרִיסֵ֣יse.ri.SeiH5631whoאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834were with him in confinementבְמִשְׁמַ֛רve.mish.MarH4929in his master’sאֲדֹנָ֖יו'a.do.NavH113houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004, “Whyמַדּ֛וּעַma.Du.a'H4069are your facesפְּנֵיכֶ֥םpe.nei.KhemH6440so sadרָעִ֖יםra.'ImH7451todayהַיּֽוֹם׃hai.YomH3117?”

8And they saidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559to him, “We havehadחָלַ֔מְנוּcha.Lam.nuH2492a dreamחֲל֣וֹםcha.LomH2472,and thereH369isH369noH369oneH369to interpretוּפֹתֵ֖רu.fo.TerH6622it.” Then Josephיוֹסֵ֗ףyo.SefH3130saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “Do interpretationsפִּתְרֹנִ֔יםpit.ro.NimH6623not belong to Godלֵֽאלֹהִים֙le.lo.HimH430?Tellסַפְּרוּ־sa.pe.ru-H5608itto me, pleaseנָ֖אna'H4994.”

9So the chiefשַֽׂר־sar-H8269cupbearerהַמַּשְׁקִ֛יםha.mash.KimH4945toldוַיְסַפֵּ֧רvay.sa.PerH5608his dreamחֲלֹמ֖וֹcha.lo.MoH2472to Josephלְיוֹסֵ֑ףle.yo.SefH3130,sayingוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “In my dreamבַּחֲלוֹמִ֕יba.cha.lo.MiH2472,beholdוְהִנֵּה־ve.hi.neh-H2009, there wasa vineגֶ֖פֶןGe.fenH1612in frontלְפָנָֽי׃le.fa.NaiH6440of me;

10and on the vineוּבַגֶּ֖פֶןu.va.Ge.fenH1612werethreeשְׁלֹשָׁ֣הshe.lo.ShahH7969branchesשָׂרִיגִ֑םsa.ri.GimH8299.And as it was buddingכְפֹרַ֙חַת֙khe.fo.Ra.chatH6524,its blossomsנִצָּ֔הּni.TzahH5322cameעָלְתָ֣ה'al.TahH5927out, andits clustersאַשְׁכְּלֹתֶ֖יהָ'ash.ke.lo.Tei.haH811producedH1310ripeH1310grapesעֲנָבִֽים׃'a.na.VimH6025.

11Now Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֖הpar.'OhH6547cupוְכ֥וֹסve.KhosH3563was in my handבְּיָדִ֑יbe.ya.DiH3027;so I tookוָאֶקַּ֣חva.'e.KachH3947the grapesהָֽעֲנָבִ֗יםha.'a.na.VimH6025and squeezedוָֽאֶשְׂחַ֤טva.'es.ChatH7818them into Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547cupכּ֣וֹסKosH3563,and I putוָאֶתֵּ֥ןva.'e.TenH5414the cupהַכּ֖וֹסha.KosH3563into Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹֽה׃par.'OhH6547handכַּ֥ףkafH3709.”

12Then Josephיוֹסֵ֔ףyo.SefH3130saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “Thisזֶ֖הzehH2088is theinterpretationפִּתְרֹנ֑וֹpit.ro.NoH6623of it: the threeשְׁלֹ֙שֶׁת֙she.Lo.shetH7969branchesהַשָּׂ֣רִגִ֔יםha.Sa.ri.GimH8299are threeשְׁלֹ֥שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969daysיָמִ֖יםya.MimH3117;

13within threeשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969moreבְּע֣וֹד׀be.'odH5750daysיָמִ֗יםya.MimH3117Pharaohפַרְעֹה֙far.'OhH6547willliftיִשָּׂ֤אyi.Sa'H5375upH5375your headרֹאשֶׁ֔ךָro.She.khaH7218and restoreוַהֲשִֽׁיבְךָ֖va.ha.shi.ve.KhaH7725you to your officeכַּנֶּ֑ךָka.Ne.khaH3653;and you will putוְנָתַתָּ֤ve.na.ta.TaH5414Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹה֙par.'OhH6547cupכוֹס־khos-H3563into his handבְּיָד֔וֹbe.ya.DoH3027as in your formerהָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹןha.ri.ShonH7223practiceכַּמִּשְׁפָּט֙ka.mish.PatH4941whenאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you were his cupbearerמַשְׁקֵֽהוּ׃mash.Ke.huH4945.

14Onlyכִּ֧י אִם־ki 'im-H3588 H518keepזְכַרְתַּ֣נִיze.khar.Ta.niH2142me in mind whenH3512it goesיִ֣יטַבYi.tavH3190wellH3190for you, and pleaseנָּ֥אna'H4994doוְעָשִֽׂיתָ־ve.'a.si.ta-H6213me a kindnessחָ֑סֶדCha.sedH2617by mentioningוְהִזְכַּרְתַּ֙נִי֙ve.hiz.kar.Ta.niH2142me to Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547,and getH3318me outH3318of thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088prisonהַבַּ֥יִתha.Ba.yitH1004.

15ForI was inH1589factH1589kidnappedH1589from the landמֵאֶ֖רֶץme.'E.retzH776of the Hebrewsהָעִבְרִ֑יםha.'iv.RimH5680,and evenוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571hereפֹּה֙pohH6311I have doneעָשִׂ֣יתִֽי'a.Si.tiH6213nothingלֹא־ מְא֔וּמָהlo'- me.'U.mahH3808 H3972that they should have putשָׂמ֥וּsa.MuH7760me into thedungeonבַּבּֽוֹר׃ba.BorH953.”

16When the chiefשַׂר־sar-H8269bakerהָאֹפִ֖יםha.'o.FimH644sawוַיַּ֥רְאvai.Yar'H7200that he had interpretedפָּתָ֑רpa.TarH6622favorablyט֣וֹבTovH2896,he saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559to Josephיוֹסֵ֔ףyo.SefH3130, “I alsoאַף־'af-H637sawin my dreamבַּחֲלוֹמִ֔יba.cha.lo.MiH2472,and beholdוְהִנֵּ֗הve.hi.NehH2009, there werethreeשְׁלֹשָׁ֛הshe.lo.ShahH7969basketsסַלֵּ֥יsa.LeiH5536of whiteH2751breadH2751on my headרֹאשִֽׁי׃ro.ShiH7218;

17and in the topהָֽעֶלְי֔וֹןha.'el.yOnH5945basketוּבַסַּ֣לu.va.SalH5536there weresomeמִן־min-H4480of allמִכֹּ֛לmi.KolH3605kinds of bakedאֹפֶ֑ה'o.PehH644foodמַאֲכַ֥לma.'a.KhalH3978for Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֖הpar.'OhH6547,and the birdsוְהָע֗וֹףve.ha.'ofH5775were eatingאֹכֵ֥ל'o.KhelH398them out of the basketהַסַּ֖לha.SalH5536on my headרֹאשִֽׁי׃ro.ShiH7218.”

18Then Josephיוֹסֵף֙yo.SefH3130answeredוַיַּ֤עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030and saidוַיֹּ֔אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Thisזֶ֖הzehH2088is its interpretationפִּתְרֹנ֑וֹpit.ro.NoH6623:the threeשְׁלֹ֙שֶׁת֙she.Lo.shetH7969basketsהַסַּלִּ֔יםha.sa.LimH5536are threeשְׁלֹ֥שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969daysיָמִ֖יםya.MimH3117;

19within threeשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969moreבְּע֣וֹד׀be.'odH5750daysיָמִ֗יםya.MimH3117Pharaohפַרְעֹ֤הfar.'OhH6547will liftיִשָּׂ֨אyi.Sa'H5375upH5375your headרֹֽאשְׁךָ֙ro.she.KhaH7218from you and will hangוְתָלָ֥הve.ta.LahH8518you on a woodenעֵ֑ץ'EtzH6086post,and the birdsהָע֛וֹףha.'ofH5775will eatוְאָכַ֥לve.'a.KhalH398your fleshבְּשָׂרְךָ֖be.sa.re.KhaH1320offH4480 H5921you.”

20So it cameH1961aboutH1961on the thirdהַשְּׁלִישִׁ֗יha.she.li.ShiH7992dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117, which wasPharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547birthdayי֚וֹם הֻלֶּ֣דֶתYom hu.Le.detH3205 H3117,that he heldוַיַּ֥עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213a feastמִשְׁתֶּ֖הmish.TehH4960for allלְכָל־le.kholH3605his servantsעֲבָדָ֑יו'a.va.DavH5650;and he liftedוַיִּשָּׂ֞אvai.yi.Sa'H5375upH5375the headרֹ֣אשׁ׀roshH7218of the chiefשַׂ֣רsarH8269cupbearerהַמַּשְׁקִ֗יםha.mash.KimH4945and the headרֹ֛אשׁroshH7218of the chiefשַׂ֥רsarH8269bakerהָאֹפִ֖יםha.'o.FimH644amongבְּת֥וֹךְbe.TokhH8432his servantsעֲבָדָֽיו׃'a.va.DavH5650.

21He restoredוַיָּ֛שֶׁבvai.Ya.shevH7725the chiefשַׂ֥רsarH8269cupbearerהַמַּשְׁקִ֖יםha.mash.KimH4945to hisofficeמַשְׁקֵ֑הוּmash.Ke.huH4945, andhe putוַיִּתֵּ֥ןvai.yi.TenH5414the cupהַכּ֖וֹסha.KosH3563into Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹֽה׃par.'OhH6547handכַּ֥ףkafH3709;

23Yet the chiefשַֽׂר־sar-H8269cupbearerהַמַּשְׁקִ֛יםha.mash.KimH4945did not rememberזָכַ֧רza.KharH2142Josephיוֹסֵ֖ףyo.SefH3130, butforgotוַיִּשְׁכָּחֵֽהוּ׃ פvai.yish.ka.Che.huH7911him.
