17“Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֗ם'a.DamH120,when the houseבֵּ֤יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478was livingיֹשְׁבִ֣יםyo.she.VimH3427on their own landאַדְמָתָ֔ם'ad.ma.TamH127, theydefiledוַיְטַמְּא֣וּvay.ta.me.'UH2930it by their waysבְּדַרְכָּ֖םbe.dar.KamH1870and their deedsוּבַעֲלִֽילוֹתָ֑םu.va.'a.li.lo.TamH5949;their wayדַרְכָּ֖םdar.KamH1870beforeלְפָנָֽי׃le.fa.NaiH6440Me was likethe uncleannessכְּטֻמְאַת֙ke.tum.'AtH2932of a woman in her impurityהַנִּדָּ֔הha.ni.DahH5079.

18Therefore IpouredH8210outH8210My wrathחֲמָתִי֙cha.ma.TiH2534on them for the bloodהַדָּ֖םha.DamH1818whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834they had shedH8210on the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,because they had defiledטִמְּאֽוּהָ׃ti.me.'U.haH2930it with their idolsוּבְגִלּוּלֵיהֶ֖םu.ve.gi.lu.lei.HemH1544.

19I alsoscatteredוָאָפִ֤יץva.'a.FitzH6327them among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֔םba.go.YimH1471,and they were dispersedוַיִּזָּר֖וּvai.yi.za.RuH2219throughout the landsבָּאֲרָצ֑וֹתba.'a.ra.TzotH776.According to their waysכְּדַרְכָּ֥םke.dar.KamH1870and their deedsוְכַעֲלִילוֹתָ֖םve.kha.'a.li.lo.TamH5949I judgedשְׁפַטְתִּֽים׃she.fa.TimH8199them.

20When they cameוַיָּב֗וֹאvai.ya.Vo'H935to the nationsהַגּוֹיִם֙ha.go.YimH1471whereאֲשֶׁר־ שָׁ֔ם'a.Sher- ShamH834 H8033they wentבָּ֣אוּBa.'uH935, theyprofanedוַֽיְחַלְּל֖וּvay.cha.le.LuH2490My holyקָדְשִׁ֑יkod.shiH6944nameשֵׁ֣םshemH8034,because it was saidבֶּאֱמֹ֤רbe.'e.MorH559of them, ‘Theseאֵ֔לֶּה'E.lehH428are thepeopleעַם־'am-H5971of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068,yet they have leftיָצָֽאוּ׃ya.Tza.'uH3318His landוּמֵאַרְצ֖וֹu.me.'ar.TzoH776.’

21But I hadH2550concernH2550for Myholyקָדְשִׁ֑יkod.shiH6944nameשֵׁ֣םshemH8034,whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478had profanedחִלְּל֙וּהוּ֙chi.le.Lu.huH2490among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֖םba.go.YimH1471whereאֲשֶׁר־ שָֽׁמָּה׃ ס'a.Sher- Sha.mahH834 H8033they wentבָּ֥אוּBa.'uH935.

22“Thereforeלָכֵ֞ןla.KhenH3651sayאֱמֹ֣ר'e.MorH559to the houseלְבֵֽית־le.veit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478, ‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559: “It isnot for your sakeלְמַעַנְכֶ֛םle.ma.'an.KhemH4616,houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,that I am about to actעֹשֶׂ֖ה'o.SehH6213,but for My holyקָדְשִׁי֙kod.shiH6944nameלְשֵׁם־le.shem-H8034,whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you have profanedחִלַּלְתֶּ֔םchi.lal.TemH2490among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֖םba.go.YimH1471whereאֲשֶׁר־ שָֽׁם׃'a.Sher- ShamH834 H8033you wentבָּ֥אתֶםBa.temH935.

23And I willvindicateH6942the holinessH6942of My greatהַגָּד֗וֹלha.ga.DolH1419nameשְׁמִ֣יshe.MiH8034which has been profanedהַֽמְחֻלָּל֙ham.chu.LalH2490among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֔םba.go.YimH1471,whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you have profanedחִלַּלְתֶּ֖םchi.lal.TemH2490amongבְּתוֹכָ֑םbe.to.KhamH8432them. Then thenationsהַגּוֹיִ֜םha.go.YimH1471will knowוְיָדְע֨וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the LordH3068,”declaresנְאֻם֙ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “when I showוְקִדַּשְׁתִּ֞יve.ki.dash.TiH6942Myself holyבְּהִקָּדְשִׁ֥יbe.hi.ka.de.ShiH6942among you in their sightלְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃le.'ei.nei.HemH5869.

24For I willtakeוְלָקַחְתִּ֤יve.la.kach.TiH3947you from the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471,and gatherוְקִבַּצְתִּ֥יve.ki.batz.TiH6908you from allמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605the landsהָאֲרָצ֑וֹתha.'a.ra.TzotH776;and I will bringוְהֵבֵאתִ֥יve.he.ve.TiH935you into your own landאַדְמַתְכֶֽם׃'ad.mat.KhemH127.

25Then I willsprinkleוְזָרַקְתִּ֧יve.za.rak.TiH2236cleanטְהוֹרִ֖יםte.ho.RimH2889waterמַ֥יִםMa.yimH4325on you, and you will beH2891cleanH2891;I will cleanseH2891you from allמִכֹּ֧לmi.KolH3605yourfilthinessטֻמְאוֹתֵיכֶ֛םtum.'o.tei.KhemH2932and from allוּמִכָּל־u.mi.kol-H3605youridolsגִּלּ֥וּלֵיכֶ֖םgi.Lu.lei.KhemH1544.

26Moreover, I will giveוְנָתַתִּ֤יve.na.ta.TiH5414you anewחָדָ֔שׁcha.DashH2319heartלֵ֣בlevH3820and putאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414a newחֲדָשָׁ֖הcha.da.ShahH2319spiritוְר֥וּחַve.Ru.achH7307withinבְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑םbe.kir.be.KhemH7130you; and I will removeוַהֲסִ֨רֹתִ֜יva.ha.Si.ro.TiH5493theheartלֵ֤בlevH3820of stoneהָאֶ֙בֶן֙ha.'E.venH68from your fleshמִבְּשַׂרְכֶ֔םmi.be.sar.KhemH1320and giveוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414you a heartלֵ֥בlevH3820of fleshבָּשָֽׂר׃ba.SarH1320.

27And I willputאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414My Spiritרוּחִ֖יru.ChiH7307withinבְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑םbe.kir.be.KhemH7130you and bringH6213it aboutH6213that you walkתֵּלֵ֔כוּte.Le.khuH1980in My statutesבְּחֻקַּי֙be.chu.KaiH2706,and areH8104carefulH8104andfollowH6213My ordinancesוּמִשְׁפָּטַ֥יu.mish.pa.TaiH4941.

28And you will liveוִישַׁבְתֶּ֣םvi.shav.TemH3427in the landבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776that I gaveנָתַ֖תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414to your forefathersלַאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑םla.'a.vo.tei.KhemH1; so you will beMy peopleלְעָ֔םle.'AmH5971,and I will be your Godלֵאלֹהִֽים׃le.lo.HimH430.

29Moreover, I will saveוְהוֹשַׁעְתִּ֣יve.ho.sha'.TiH3467you from allמִכֹּ֖לmi.KolH3605your uncleannessטֻמְאֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑םtum.'o.tei.KhemH2932;and I will callוְקָרָ֤אתִיve.ka.Ra.tiH7121for the grainהַדָּגָן֙ha.da.GanH1715and multiplyוְהִרְבֵּיתִ֣יve.hir.bei.TiH7235it, and I will notbringאֶתֵּ֥ן'e.TenH5414a famineרָעָֽב׃ra.'AvH7458on you.

30Instead, I willmultiplyוְהִרְבֵּיתִי֙ve.hir.bei.TiH7235the fruitפְּרִ֣יpe.RiH6529of the treeהָעֵ֔ץha.'EtzH6086and the produceוּתְנוּבַ֖תu.te.nu.VatH8570of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֑הha.sa.DehH7704,soלְמַ֗עַןle.Ma.'anH4616thatH4616you will not receiveתִקְח֥וּtik.ChuH3947againע֛וֹדodH5750the disgraceחֶרְפַּ֥תcher.PatH2781of famineרָעָ֖בra.'AvH7458among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ba.go.YimH1471.

31Then you willrememberוּזְכַרְתֶּם֙u.ze.khar.TemH2142your evilהָרָעִ֔יםha.ra.'ImH7451waysדַּרְכֵיכֶ֣םdar.khei.KhemH1870and your deedsוּמַעַלְלֵיכֶ֖םu.ma.'a.lei.KhemH4611that were not goodטוֹבִ֑יםto.VimH2896,and you will loatheוּנְקֹֽטֹתֶם֙u.ne.ko.to.TemH6962yourselves in your own sightבִּפְנֵיכֶ֔םbif.nei.KhemH6440for your wrongdoingsעֲוֹנֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם'a.vo.No.tei.KhemH5771and your abominationsתּוֹעֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃to.'a.Vo.tei.KhemH8441.

32I am not doingעֹשֶׂ֗ה'o.SehH6213thisfor your sakeלְמַעַנְכֶ֣םle.ma.'an.KhemH4616,”declaresנְאֻם֙ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068; “let thatbe knownיִוָּדַ֖עyi.va.Da'H3045to you. BeH954ashamedבּ֧וֹשׁוּBo.o.shuH954and humiliatedוְהִכָּלְמ֛וּve.hi.kal.MuH3637for your waysמִדַּרְכֵיכֶ֖םmi.dar.khei.KhemH1870,houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סYis.ra.'ElH3478!”

33‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559: “On the dayבְּיוֹם֙be.yOmH3117that I cleanseטַהֲרִ֣יta.ha.RiH2891you from allמִכֹּ֖לmi.KolH3605your wrongdoingsעֲוֹנֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑םa.vo.no.tei.KhemH5771,I will populateוְהֽוֹשַׁבְתִּי֙ve.ho.shav.TiH3427thecitiesהֶ֣עָרִ֔יםhe.'a.RimH5892, and theplacesH2723ofH2723ruinsH2723will be rebuiltוְנִבְנ֖וּve.niv.NuH1129.

34The desolatedהַנְּשַׁמָּ֖הha.ne.sha.MahH8074landוְהָאָ֥רֶץve.ha.'A.retzH776will be cultivatedתֵּֽעָבֵ֑דte.'a.VedH5647insteadH8478ofH8478beingהָיְתָ֣הha.ye.TahH1961a desolationשְׁמָמָ֔הshe.ma.MahH8077in the sightלְעֵינֵ֖יle.'ei.NeiH5869of everyoneכָּל־kol-H3605who passesH5674byH5674.

35And they will sayוְאָמְר֗וּve.'a.me.RuH559, ‘ThisH1976desolatedהַנְּשַׁמָּ֔הha.ne.sha.MahH8074landהָאָ֤רֶץha.'A.retzH776has becomeהָיְתָ֖הha.ye.TahH1961like theGardenכְּגַן־ke.gan-H1588of Edenעֵ֑דֶן'E.denH5731;and the wasteהֶחֳרֵב֛וֹתhe.cho.re.VotH2720,desolatedוְהַֽנְשַׁמּ֥וֹתve.han.sha.MotH8074and ruinedוְהַנֶּהֱרָס֖וֹתve.ha.ne.he.ra.SotH2040citiesוְהֶעָרִ֧יםve.he.'a.RimH5892are fortifiedבְּצוּר֥וֹתbe.tzu.RotH1219andinhabitedיָשָֽׁבוּ׃ya.Sha.vuH3427.’

36Then the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֗םha.go.YimH1471aroundסְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶם֒se.vi.vo.tei.KhemH5439you that are leftיִֽשָּׁאֲרוּ֮yi.sha.'a.RuH7604will knowוְיָדְע֣וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I, the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,have rebuiltבָּנִ֙יתִי֙ba.Ni.tiH1129the ruinedהַנֶּ֣הֱרָס֔וֹתha.Ne.he.ra.SotH2040places andplantedנָטַ֖עְתִּיna.Ta'.tiH5193that which was desolatedהַנְּשַׁמָּ֑הha.ne.sha.MahH8074;I, the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,have spokenדִּבַּ֥רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696, and Iwill doוְעָשִֽׂיתִי׃ סve.'a.Si.tiH6213it.”

37‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559: “ThisH2088tooע֗וֹדodH5750I will let the houseלְבֵֽית־le.veit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478askאִדָּרֵ֥שׁ'i.da.ReshH1875Me to doלַעֲשׂ֣וֹתla.'a.SotH6213for them: I will increaseאַרְבֶּ֥ה'ar.BehH7235their peopleאָדָֽם׃'a.DamH120like a flockכַּצֹּ֖אןka.TzonH6629.

38Like theflockכְּצֹ֣אןke.TzonH6629for sacrificesקָֽדָשִׁ֗יםka.da.ShimH6944,like the flockכְּצֹ֤אןke.TzonH6629at Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ye.ru.sha.LimH3389during her appointedבְּמ֣וֹעֲדֶ֔יהָbe.Mo.'a.Dei.haH4150feastsH4150,soכֵּ֤ןkenH3651will the wasteהֶחֳרֵב֔וֹתhe.cho.re.VotH2720citiesהֶעָרִ֣יםhe.'a.RimH5892be filledמְלֵא֖וֹתme.le.'otH4392withflocksצֹ֣אןtzonH6629of peopleאָדָ֑ם'a.DamH120.Then they will knowוְיָדְע֖וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.”’”
