4He brokeH6998offH6998thetopmostרֹ֥אשׁroshH7218of its youngH3242twigsH3242and broughtוַיְבִיאֵ֙הוּ֙vay.vi.'E.huH935it to a landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of merchantsכְּנַ֔עַןke.Na.'anH3667;he setשָׂמֽוֹ׃sa.MoH7760it in acityבְּעִ֥ירbe.'IrH5892of tradersרֹכְלִ֖יםro.khe.LimH7402.

5He also tookH3947from the seedמִזֶּ֣רַעmi.Ze.ra'H2233of the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776and plantedוַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖הוּvai.yi.te.Ne.huH5414it infertileזָ֑רַעZa.ra'H2233soilבִּשְׂדֵה־bis.deh-H7704, ameadowH6985besideעַל־'al-H5921abundantרַבִּ֔יםra.BimH7227watersמַ֣יִםMa.yimH4325;he setשָׂמֽוֹ׃sa.MoH7760it like awillowצַפְצָפָ֖הtzaf.tza.FahH6851.

6Then it sproutedוַיִּצְמַ֡חvai.yitz.MachH6779and becameוַיְהִי֩vay.HiH1961a lowשִׁפְלַ֣ת קוֹמָ֗הshif.Lat ko.MahH8217 H6967,spreadingסֹרַ֜חַתso.Ra.chatH5628vineלְגֶ֨פֶןle.Ge.fenH1612with its branchesדָּלִיּוֹתָיו֙da.li.yo.TavH1808turnedלִפְנ֤וֹתlif.NotH6437towardאֵלָ֔יו'e.LavH413him, but its rootsוְשָׁרָשָׁ֖יוve.sha.ra.ShavH8328remainedיִֽהְי֑וּyih.YuH1961underתַּחְתָּ֣יוtach.TavH8478it.
