19Then the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872, “Sayאֱמֹ֣ר'e.MorH559to Aaronאַהֲרֹ֡ן'a.ha.RonH175, ‘Takeקַ֣חkachH3947your staffמַטְּךָ֣ma.te.KhaH4294andextendוּנְטֵֽה־u.ne.teh-H5186your handיָדְךָ֩ya.de.KhaH3027overעַל־'al-H5921the watersמֵימֵ֨יmei.MeiH4325of Egyptמִצְרַ֜יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,overעַֽל־'al-H5921their riversנַהֲרֹתָ֣ם׀na.ha.ro.TamH5104,overעַל־'al-H5921theirstreamsיְאֹרֵיהֶ֣םye.'o.rei.HemH2975,overוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921their poolsאַגְמֵיהֶ֗ם'ag.mei.HemH98,and overוְעַ֛לve.'AlH5921allכָּל־kol-H3605their reservoirsמִקְוֵ֥הmik.VehH4723of waterמֵימֵיהֶ֖םmei.mei.HemH4325,so that they may becomeH1961bloodדָ֑םDamH1818;and there will be bloodדָם֙damH1818through allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714, both in containers ofwoodוּבָעֵצִ֖יםu.va.'e.TzimH6086and in containers ofstoneוּבָאֲבָנִֽים׃u.va.'a.va.NimH68.’”
20So Mosesמֹשֶׁ֨הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹ֜ןve.'a.ha.RonH175didוַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־vai.ya.'a.su-H6213justכֵן֩khenH3651H3512as the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֣הtzi.VahH6680.And he liftedH7311upH7311the staffבַּמַּטֶּה֙ba.ma.TehH4294and struckוַיַּ֤ךְvai.YakhH5221the waterהַמַּ֙יִם֙ha.Ma.yimH4325that wasin the Nileבַּיְאֹ֔רbay.'OrH2975in the sightלְעֵינֵ֣יle.'ei.NeiH5869of Pharaohפַרְעֹ֔הfar.'OhH6547and in the sightוּלְעֵינֵ֖יu.le.'ei.NeiH5869of his servantsעֲבָדָ֑יו'a.va.DavH5650; andallכָּל־kol-H3605the waterהַמַּ֥יִםha.Ma.yimH4325that wasin the Nileבַּיְאֹ֖רbay.'OrH2975was turnedוַיֵּהָֽפְכ֛וּvai.ye.ha.fe.KhuH2015into bloodלְדָֽם׃le.DamH1818.
21Then the fishוְהַדָּגָ֨הve.ha.da.GahH1710that werein the Nileבַּיְאֹ֥רbay.'OrH2975diedמֵ֙תָה֙me.tahH4191,and the Nileהַיְאֹ֔רhay.'OrH2975stankוַיִּבְאַ֣שׁvai.yiv.'AshH887,so that the EgyptiansH4714couldיָכְל֣וּya.khe.LuH3201not drinkלִשְׁתּ֥וֹתlish.TotH8354waterמַ֖יִםMa.yimH4325from the Nileהַיְאֹ֑רhay.'OrH2975.And the bloodהַדָּ֖םha.DamH1818was through allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.
22But the soothsayerH2748priestsH2748of Egyptמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714didוַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־vai.ya.'a.su-H6213the sameכֵ֛ןkhenH3651with their secretH3909artsH3909;and Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹה֙par.'OhH6547heartלֵב־lev-H3820washardenedוַיֶּחֱזַ֤קvai.ye.che.ZakH2388,and he did not listenשָׁמַ֣עsha.Ma'H8085to them, justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068had saidדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696.
