21ThenMosesמֹשֶׁ֛הmo.ShehH4872calledוַיִּקְרָ֥אvai.yik.Ra'H7121for allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the eldersזִקְנֵ֥יzik.NeiH2205of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “Goמִֽשְׁכ֗וּmish.KhuH4900andtakeוּקְח֨וּu.ke.ChuH3947for yourselveslambsצֹ֛אןtzonH6629according to your familiesלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתֵיכֶ֖םle.mish.pe.cho.tei.KhemH4940,and slaughterוְשַׁחֲט֥וּve.sha.cha.TuH7819the Passoverהַפָּֽסַח׃ha.Pa.sachH6453lamb.

22Andyou shall takeוּלְקַחְתֶּ֞םu.le.kach.TemH3947a bunchאֲגֻדַּ֣ת'a.gu.DatH92of hyssopאֵז֗וֹב'e.ZovH231and dipוּטְבַלְתֶּם֮u.te.val.TemH2881it in the bloodבַּדָּ֣םba.DamH1818whichH834is in the basinבַּסַּף֒ba.SafH5592, andapplyוְהִגַּעְתֶּ֤םve.hi.ga'.TemH5060someמִן־min-H4480of the bloodהַדָּ֖םha.DamH1818that is in the basinבַּסָּ֑ףba.SafH5592to the lintelהַמַּשְׁקוֹף֙ha.mash.kOfH4947and the twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147doorpostsהַמְּזוּזֹ֔תha.me.zu.ZotH4201;and noneלֹ֥א אִ֥ישׁlo' 'ishH3808 H376of you shall goתֵצְא֛וּte.tze.'UH3318outsideH3318the doorמִפֶּֽתַח־mi.pe.tach-H6607of his houseבֵּית֖וֹbei.ToH1004untilעַד־'ad-H5704morningבֹּֽקֶר׃Bo.kerH1242.

23Forthe Lordיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068will passוְעָבַ֣רve.'a.VarH5674throughH5674to strikeלִנְגֹּ֣ףlin.GofH5062the Egyptiansמִצְרַיִם֒mitz.ra.YimH4714;but when He seesוְרָאָ֤הve.ra.'AhH7200the bloodהַדָּם֙ha.DamH1818on the lintelהַמַּשְׁק֔וֹףha.mash.KofH4947and on the twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147doorpostsהַמְּזוּזֹ֑תha.me.zu.ZotH4201,the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will passוּפָסַ֤חu.fa.SachH6452overH5921the doorהַפֶּ֔תַחha.Pe.tachH6607and willnot allowיִתֵּן֙yi.TenH5414thedestroyerהַמַּשְׁחִ֔יתha.mash.ChitH7843to comeלָבֹ֥אla.Vo'H935inH935to your housesבָּתֵּיכֶ֖םba.tei.KhemH1004to strikeלִנְגֹּֽף׃lin.GofH5062you.

24Andyou shall keepוּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֖םu.she.mar.TemH8104thisהַזֶּ֑הha.ZehH2088eventהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697as an ordinanceלְחָק־le.chok-H2706for you and your childrenוּלְבָנֶ֖יךָu.le.va.Nei.khaH1121foreverעַד־ עוֹלָֽם׃'ad- o.LamH5704 H5769.

25Whenכִּֽי־ki-H3588you enterתָבֹ֣אוּta.Vo.'uH935the landהָאָ֗רֶץha.'A.retzH776whichH834the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068will giveיִתֵּ֧ןyi.TenH5414you, as He haspromisedדִּבֵּ֑רdi.BerH1696,you shall keepוּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֖םu.she.mar.TemH8104thisH2088riteהָעֲבֹדָ֥הha.'a.vo.DahH5656.

26And when your childrenבְּנֵיכֶ֑םbe.nei.KhemH1121sayיֹאמְר֥וּyo.me.RuH559to you, ‘Whatמָ֛הmahH4100does thisH2088riteהָעֲבֹדָ֥הha.'a.vo.DahH5656mean to you?’

27then you shall sayוַאֲמַרְתֶּ֡םva.'a.mar.TemH559, ‘It is a Passoverפֶּ֨סַחPe.sachH6453sacrificeזֶֽבַח־ze.vach-H2077tothe Lordלַֽיהוָ֗הla.Yah.wehH3068becauseH834HeH834passedפָּ֠סַחPa.sachH6452overעַל־'al-H5921the housesבָּתֵּ֤יba.TeiH1004of the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478in Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֔יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714when He struckבְּנָגְפּ֥וֹbe.na.ge.PoH5062the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714, butsparedהִצִּ֑ילhi.TzilH5337our homesבָּתֵּ֣ינוּba.Tei.nuH1004.’”And the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971bowedH6915lowוַיִּקֹּ֥דvai.yi.KodH6915and worshipedH2331.

28Then the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478wentוַיֵּלְכ֥וּvai.ye.le.KhuH1980and didוַיַּֽעֲשׂ֖וּvai.ya.'a.SuH6213so;justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֧הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹ֖ןve.'a.ha.RonH175,soכֵּ֥ןkenH3651they didעָשֽׂוּ׃ ס'a.SuH6213.

29Now it cameH1961aboutH1961atmidnightבַּחֲצִ֣י הַלַּ֗יְלָהba.cha.Tzi ha.Lay.lahH2677 H3915thatthe Lordוַֽיהוָה֮va.Yah.wehH3068struckהִכָּ֣הhi.KahH5221allכָל־khol-H3605the firstbornבְּכוֹר֮be.khOrH1060in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַיִם֒mitz.ra.YimH4714,from the firstbornמִבְּכֹ֤רmi.be.KhorH1060of Pharaohפַּרְעֹה֙par.'OhH6547who satהַיֹּשֵׁ֣בhai.yo.ShevH3427on his throneכִּסְא֔וֹkis.'OH3678to the firstbornבְּכ֣וֹרbe.KhorH1060of the captiveהַשְּׁבִ֔יha.she.ViH7628whoאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834was in the dungeonבְּבֵ֣ית הַבּ֑וֹרbe.Veit ha.BorH1004 H953,and allוְכֹ֖לve.KholH3605the firstbornבְּכ֥וֹרbe.KhorH1060ofcattleבְּהֵמָֽה׃be.he.MahH929.

30And Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֜הpar.'OhH6547gotH6965upH6965in the nightלַ֗יְלָהLay.lahH3915,he and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605his servantsעֲבָדָיו֙'a.va.DavH5650and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714, and there wasa greatגְדֹלָ֖הge.do.LahH1419cryצְעָקָ֥הtze.'a.KahH6818in Egyptבְּמִצְרָ֑יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,for thereH369wasH369noH369homeבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004whereאֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׁ֖ם'a.Sher shamH834 H8033thereH369wasH369not someone deadמֵֽת׃MetH4191.

31Thenhe calledוַיִּקְרָא֩vai.yik.Ra'H7121for Mosesלְמֹשֶׁ֨הle.mo.ShehH4872and Aaronוּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֜ןu.le.'a.ha.RonH175at nightלַ֗יְלָהLay.lahH3915and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “RiseH6965upH6965,getH3318outH3318from amongמִתּ֣וֹךְmi.TokhH8432my peopleעַמִּ֔י'a.MiH5971,bothH1571you and the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and goוּלְכ֛וּu.le.KhuH1980,worshipעִבְד֥וּ'iv.DuH5647the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,as you have saidכְּדַבֶּרְכֶֽם׃ke.da.ber.KhemH1696.

32Takeקְח֛וּke.ChuH3947bothH1571your flocksצֹאנְכֶ֨םtzon.KhemH6629and your herdsבְּקַרְכֶ֥םbe.kar.KhemH1241,as you have saidדִּבַּרְתֶּ֖םdi.bar.TemH1696,and goוָלֵ֑כוּva.Le.khuH1980,and blessוּבֵֽרַכְתֶּ֖םu.ve.rakh.TemH1288me alsoH1571.”

33The Egyptiansמִצְרַ֙יִם֙mitz.Ra.yimH4714urgedוַתֶּחֱזַ֤ק עַל־va.te.che.Zak 'al-H2388 H5921the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971,to sendלְשַׁלְּחָ֣םle.sha.le.ChamH7971them outH7971of the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776in a hurryלְמַהֵ֖רle.ma.HerH4116,for they saidאָמְר֖וּ'a.me.RuH559, “We will allכֻּלָּ֥נוּku.La.nuH3605be deadמֵתִֽים׃me.TimH4191.”

34So the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971tookוַיִּשָּׂ֥אvai.yi.Sa'H5375their doughבְּצֵק֖וֹbe.tze.KoH1217beforeטֶ֣רֶםTe.remH2962it wasH2556leavenedיֶחְמָ֑ץyech.MatzH2556, withtheir kneadingמִשְׁאֲרֹתָ֛םmish.'a.ro.TamH4863bowlsH4863boundH6887upH6887in the clothesבְּשִׂמְלֹתָ֖םbe.sim.lo.TamH8071on their shouldersשִׁכְמָֽם׃shikh.MamH7926.

35Now the sonsוּבְנֵי־u.ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֥לYis.ra.'ElH3478had doneעָשׂ֖וּ'a.SuH6213according to the wordכִּדְבַ֣רkid.VarH1697of Mosesמֹשֶׁ֑הmo.ShehH4872,for they had requestedוַֽיִּשְׁאֲלוּ֙vai.yish.'a.LuH7592from the Egyptiansמִמִּצְרַ֔יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714articlesכְּלֵי־ke.lei-H3627of silverכֶ֛סֶףKhe.sefH3701and articlesוּכְלֵ֥יu.khe.LeiH3627of goldזָהָ֖בza.HavH2091,and clothingוּשְׂמָלֹֽת׃u.se.ma.LotH8071;

36and the Lordוַֽיהוָ֞הva.Yah.wehH3068had givenנָתַ֨ןna.TanH5414the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971favorחֵ֥ןchenH2580in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,so that they let them have their requestוַיַּשְׁאִל֑וּםvai.yash.'i.LumH7592. Therefore theyplunderedוַֽיְנַצְּל֖וּvay.na.tze.LuH5337the Egyptiansמִצְרָֽיִם׃ פmitz.Ra.yimH4714.

37Now thesonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478journeyedוַיִּסְע֧וּvai.yis.'UH5265fromRamesesמֵרַעְמְסֵ֖סme.ra'.me.SesH7486to Succothסֻכֹּ֑תָהsu.Ko.tahH5523, aboutsixכְּשֵׁשׁ־ke.shesh-H8337hundredמֵא֨וֹתme.'otH3967thousandאֶ֧לֶף'E.lefH505menהַגְּבָרִ֖יםha.ge.va.RimH1397on footרַגְלִ֛יrag.LiH7273,asideלְבַ֥דle.VadH905from childrenמִטָּֽף׃mi.TafH2945.

38Amixedעֵ֥רֶב'E.revH6154multitudeרַ֖בravH7227alsoוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571wentH5927upH5927with them,along with flocksוְצֹ֣אןve.TzonH6629and herdsוּבָקָ֔רu.va.KarH1241, averyמְאֹֽד׃me.'OdH3966largeH3515numberH3515of livestockמִקְנֶ֖הmik.NehH4735.

39And they bakedוַיֹּאפ֨וּvai.yo.FuH644the doughהַבָּצֵ֜קha.ba.TzekH1217whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834they had broughtH3318outH3318of Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֛יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714into cakesעֻגֹ֥ת'u.GotH5692of unleavenedמַצּ֖וֹתma.TzotH4682breadH4682.For it hadH2556noH3808yeastH2556,sinceH3588they weredrivenH1644outH1644of Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֗יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714and couldיָֽכְלוּ֙ya.khe.LuH3201not delayלְהִתְמַהְמֵ֔הַּle.hit.mah.Me.ahH4102,norH1571 H3808had theypreparedעָשׂ֥וּ'a.SuH6213anyH1571provisionsצֵדָ֖הtze.DahH6720for themselves.

40Now the timeוּמוֹשַׁב֙u.mo.ShavH4186that the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478had livedיָשְׁב֖וּya.she.VuH3427in Egyptבְּמִצְרָ֑יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714was430שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים וְאַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֖וֹתshe.lo.Shim ve.'ar.Ba' me.'otH702 H3967 H7970yearsH8141.

43And the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹ֔ןve.'a.ha.RonH175, “ThisH2088is the ordinanceחֻקַּ֣תchu.KatH2708ofthe Passoverהַפָּ֑סַחha.Pa.sachH6453:noכָּל־ לֹא־kol- lo'-H3605 H3808foreignerבֶּן־ נֵכָ֖רben- ne.KharH1121 H5236is to eatיֹ֥אכַלYo.khalH398it;

44but as foreveryוְכָל־ve.kholH3605slaveעֶ֥בֶד'E.vedH5650that someoneאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376has purchasedמִקְנַת־mik.nat-H4736with moneyכָּ֑סֶףKa.sefH3701,after you have circumcisedוּמַלְתָּ֣הu.mal.TahH4135him, thenאָ֖ז'azH227he may eatיֹ֥אכַלYo.khalH398it.

45A strangerתּוֹשָׁ֥בto.ShavH8453or a hiredוְשָׂכִ֖ירve.sa.KhirH7916workerH7916shall not eatיֹ֥אכַל־Yo.khal-H398it.

46It is to be eatenיֵאָכֵ֔לye.'a.KhelH398in a singleאֶחָד֙'e.ChadH259houseבְּבַ֤יִתbe.Va.yitH1004;you are not to bringתוֹצִ֧יאto.Tzi'H3318anyH4480of the meatהַבָּשָׂ֖רha.ba.SarH1320outsideח֑וּצָהChu.tzahH3318 H2351of the houseהַבַּ֛יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,norH3808are you to breakתִשְׁבְּרוּ־tish.be.ru-H7665any boneוְעֶ֖צֶםve.'E.tzemH6106of it.

47Allכָּל־kol-H3605the congregationעֲדַ֥ת'a.DatH5712of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478are tocelebrateיַעֲשׂ֥וּya.'a.SuH6213this.

48Butifוְכִֽי־ve.khi-H3588a strangerגֵּ֗רGerH1616residesיָג֨וּרya.GurH1481with you andcelebratesוְעָ֣שָׂהve.'A.sahH6213the Passoverפֶסַח֮fe.SachH6453to the Lordלַיהוָה֒la.Yah.wehH3068,allכָל־khol-H3605of his malesזָכָ֗רza.KharH2145are to be circumcisedהִמּ֧וֹלhi.MolH4135,and thenוְאָז֙ve.'AzH227he shall comeH7126nearH7126tocelebrateלַעֲשֹׂת֔וֹla.'a.so.ToH6213it; and he shall be like a nativeכְּאֶזְרַ֣חke.'ez.RachH249of the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776.But noוְכָל־ לֹֽא־ve.khol lo'-H3605 H3808uncircumcisedעָרֵ֖ל'a.RelH6189male may eatיֹ֥אכַלYo.khalH398it.

49The sameאַחַ֔ת'a.ChatH259lawתּוֹרָ֣הto.RahH8451shallapplyיִהְיֶ֖הyih.YehH1961to the nativeלָֽאֶזְרָ֑חla.'ez.RachH249as to the strangerוְלַגֵּ֖רve.la.GerH1616who residesהַגָּ֥רha.GarH1481amongבְּתוֹכְכֶֽם׃be.tokh.KhemH8432you.”

50Then allכָּל־kol-H3605the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478didוַיַּֽעֲשׂ֖וּvai.ya.'a.SuH6213so;they didעָשֽׂוּ׃ ס'a.SuH6213justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֧הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175.

51And on that veryבְּעֶ֖צֶםbe.'E.tzemH6106dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068broughtH3318the sonsבְּנֵ֧יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478outH3318of the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714according to theirmultitudesצִבְאֹתָֽם׃ פtziv.'o.TamH6635.
