2and when the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430turnsH5414them overH5414to you and youdefeatוְהִכִּיתָ֑םve.hi.ki.TamH5221them, you shallutterlyהַחֲרֵ֤םha.cha.RemH2763destroyתַּחֲרִים֙ta.cha.RimH2763them.You shall not makeתִכְרֹ֥תtikh.RotH3772a covenantבְּרִ֖יתbe.RitH1285with themnorH3808beH2603graciousH2603to them.

3Furthermore,you shall not intermarryתִתְחַתֵּ֖ןtit.cha.TenH2859with them: you shall not giveתִתֵּ֣ןti.TenH5414yourdaughtersבִּתְּךָ֙bi.te.KhaH1323totheir sonsלִבְנ֔וֹliv.NoH1121,norH3808shall you takeתִקַּ֥חti.KachH3947their daughtersוּבִתּ֖וֹu.vi.ToH1323for yoursonsלִבְנֶֽךָ׃liv.Ne.khaH1121.

4Forthey will turnיָסִ֤ירya.SirH5493yoursonsבִּנְךָ֙bin.KhaH1121awayH5493fromfollowingמֵֽאַחֲרַ֔יme.'a.cha.RaiH310Me, and they will serveוְעָבְד֖וּve.'a.ve.DuH5647otherאֲחֵרִ֑ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430;then the angerאַף־'af-H639of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will be kindledוְחָרָ֤הve.cha.RahH2734against you andHe will quicklyמַהֵֽר׃ma.HerH4118destroyוְהִשְׁמִידְךָ֖ve.hish.mi.de.KhaH8045you.

5But thisH3541isH3541whatH3541you shall doתַעֲשׂוּ֙ta.'a.SuH6213to them:you shall tearH5422downH5422their altarsמִזְבְּחֹתֵיהֶ֣םmiz.be.cho.tei.HemH4196,smashתְּשַׁבֵּ֑רוּte.sha.Be.ruH7665their memorialH4676stonesH4676,cutתְּגַדֵּע֔וּןte.ga.de.'UnH1438theirAsherimוַאֲשֵֽׁירֵהֶם֙va.'a.shei.re.HemH842toH1438piecesH1438,and burnתִּשְׂרְפ֥וּןtis.re.FunH8313their carvedH6456imagesH6456in the fireבָּאֵֽשׁ׃ba.'EshH784.

6For you area holyקָדוֹשׁ֙ka.do.VoshH6918peopleעַ֤ם'amH5971to the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430;the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430has chosenבָּחַ֣ר׀ba.CharH977you to bea peopleלְעַ֣םle.'AmH5971for His personalH5459possessionסְגֻלָּ֔הse.gu.LahH5459out of allמִכֹּל֙mi.KolH3605the peoplesהָֽעַמִּ֔יםha.'a.MimH5971whoאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834are on the faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of theearthהָאֲדָמָֽה׃ סha.'a.da.MahH127.

7“The Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068did notmakeH2836you His belovedH2836norלֹ֣אlo'H3808chooseוַיִּבְחַ֣רvai.yiv.CharH977you becauseH3588you wereH7231greaterH7231in numberH7231thanH4480anyמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605of the peoplesהָֽעַמִּ֗יםha.'a.MimH5971,sinceH3588you were the fewestהַמְעַ֖טham.'AtH4592of allמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605peoplesהָעַמִּֽים׃ha.'a.MimH5971,

8but becauseכִּי֩kiH3588the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068lovedH157you and keptוּמִשָּׁמְר֤וּu.mi.sha.me.RoH8104theoathהַשְּׁבֻעָה֙ha.she.vu.'AhH7621whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834He sworeנִשְׁבַּע֙nish.Ba'H7650to your forefathersלַאֲבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םla.'a.Vo.tei.KhemH1,the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068broughtH3318you outH3318by a mightyחֲזָקָ֑הcha.za.KahH2389handבְּיָ֣דbe.YadH3027and redeemedוַֽיִּפְדְּךָ֙vai.yif.de.KhaH6299you from the houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004ofslaveryעֲבָדִ֔ים'a.va.DimH5650,from the handמִיַּ֖דmi.YadH3027of Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֥הpar.'OhH6547kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

9Knowוְיָ֣דַעְתָּ֔ve.Ya.da'.taH3045therefore that the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430,He is Godהָֽאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430,the faithfulהַֽנֶּאֱמָ֔ןha.ne.'e.ManH539Godהָאֵל֙ha.'ElH410,who keepsשֹׁמֵ֧רsho.MerH8104His covenantהַבְּרִ֣יתha.be.RitH1285andHis faithfulnessוְהַחֶ֗סֶדve.ha.Che.sedH2617to a thousandלְאֶ֥לֶףle.'E.lefH505generationsדּֽוֹר׃DorH1755for those wholoveלְאֹהֲבָ֛יוle.'o.ha.VavH157Him and keepוּלְשֹׁמְרֵ֥יu.le.sho.me.ReiH8104His commandmentsמִצְוֹתָ֖יוmitz.vo.tovH4687;

10but Herepaysוּמְשַׁלֵּ֧םu.me.sha.LemH7999those who hateלְשֹׂנְאָ֛יוle.so.ne.'AvH8130Him totheir facesפָּנָ֖יוpa.NavH6440,to eliminateלְהַאֲבִיד֑וֹle.ha.'a.vi.DoH6them; He will not hesitateיְאַחֵר֙ye.'a.CherH309toward him who hatesלְשֹׂ֣נְא֔וֹle.So.ne.'OH8130Him, He will repayיְשַׁלֶּם־ye.sha.lem-H7999him to his faceפָּנָ֖יוpa.NavH6440.

11Therefore, you shall keepוְשָׁמַרְתָּ֨ve.sha.mar.TaH8104the commandmentהַמִּצְוָ֜הha.mitz.VahH4687,the statutesהַֽחֻקִּ֣יםha.chu.KimH2706,and the judgmentsהַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֗יםha.mish.pa.TimH4941whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834I am commandingמְצַוְּךָ֛me.tza.ve.KhaH6680you todayהַיּ֖וֹםhai.YomH3117,to doלַעֲשׂוֹתָֽם׃ פla.'a.so.TamH6213them.

12“Then it shall comeH1961aboutH1961,becauseעֵ֣קֶב'E.kevH6118you listenתִּשְׁמְע֗וּןtish.me.'UnH8085to theseהָאֵ֔לֶּהha.'E.lehH428judgmentsהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים֙ha.mish.pa.TimH4941and keepוּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֥םu.she.mar.TemH8104and doוַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖םva.'a.si.TemH6213them, that the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430will keepוְשָׁמַר֩ve.sha.MarH8104His covenantהַבְּרִית֙ha.be.RitH1285with you andHis faithfulnessהַחֶ֔סֶדha.Che.sedH2617whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834He sworeנִשְׁבַּ֖עnish.Ba'H7650to your forefathersלַאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃la.'a.vo.Tei.khaH1.

13And He willloveוַאֲהֵ֣בְךָ֔va.'a.He.ve.khaH157you, blessוּבֵרַכְךָ֖u.ve.rakh.KhaH1288you, andmakeH7235you numerousH7235;He will also blessוּבֵרַ֣ךְu.ve.RakhH1288the fruitפְּרִֽי־pe.ri-H6529of your wombבִטְנְךָ֣vit.ne.KhaH990and the fruitוּפְרִֽי־u.fe.ri-H6529of your groundאַ֠דְמָתֶךָ'Ad.ma.te.khaH127,your grainדְּגָ֨נְךָ֜de.Ga.ne.khaH1715,your newוְתִֽירֹשְׁךָ֣ve.ti.ro.she.KhaH8492wineH8492,and your oilוְיִצְהָרֶ֗ךָve.yitz.ha.Re.khaH3323,the newbornשְׁגַר־she.gar-H7698of your cattleאֲלָפֶ֙יךָ֙'a.la.Fei.khaH504and the offspringוְעַשְׁתְּרֹ֣תve.'ash.te.RotH6251of your flockצֹאנֶ֔ךָtzo.Ne.khaH6629,in the landהָֽאֲדָמָ֔הha.'a.da.MahH127whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834He sworeנִשְׁבַּ֥עnish.Ba'H7650to your forefathersלַאֲבֹתֶ֖יךָla.'a.vo.Tei.khaH1to giveלָ֥תֶתLa.tetH5414you.

14You shall be blessedבָּר֥וּךְba.RukhH1288aboveH4480allמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605peoplesהָעַמִּ֑יםha.'a.MimH5971;there will be noלֹא־lo'-H3808sterileH6135maleH6135orinfertileH6135femaleH6135among you or among your cattleוּבִבְהֶמְתֶּֽךָ׃u.viv.hem.Te.khaH929.

15Andthe Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068will removeוְהֵסִ֧ירve.he.SirH5493from you allכָּל־kol-H3605sicknessחֹ֑לִיCho.liH2483;and He will not inflictיְשִׂימָם֙ye.si.MamH7760upon you anyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605of the harmfulהָרָעִ֜יםha.ra.'ImH7451diseasesמַדְוֵי֩mad.VeiH4064of Egyptמִצְרַ֨יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you have knownיָדַ֗עְתָּya.Da'.taH3045,but He will giveוּנְתָנָ֖םu.ne.ta.NamH5414them to allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605who hateשֹׂנְאֶֽיךָ׃so.ne.'Ei.khaH8130you.

16You shall consumeוְאָכַלְתָּ֣ve.'a.khal.TaH398allכָּל־kol-H3605the peoplesהָֽעַמִּ֗יםha.'a.MimH5971whomאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙'e.lo.Hei.khaH430will turnH5414overH5414to you;your eyeעֵֽינְךָ֖'ei.ne.KhaH5869shall not pityתָחֹ֥סta.ChosH2347them, norH3808shall you serveתַעֲבֹד֙ta.'a.VodH5647their godsאֱלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ם'e.Lo.hei.HemH430, for that would bea snareמוֹקֵ֥שׁmo.KeshH4170to you.
