The Death of Moses

1Now Mosesמֹשֶׁ֜הmo.ShehH4872wentH5927upH5927from the plainsמֵֽעַרְבֹ֤תme.'ar.VotH6160of Moabמוֹאָב֙mo.'AvH4124to Mountהַ֣רharH2022Neboנְב֔וֹne.VoH5015,to the topרֹ֚אשׁroshH7218of Pisgahהַפִּסְגָּ֔הha.pis.GahH6449,whichאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834is oppositeעַל־ פְּנֵ֣י'al- pe.NeiH5921 H6440Jerichoיְרֵח֑וֹye.re.ChoH3405.And the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068showedוַיַּרְאֵ֨הוּvai.yar.'E.huH7200him allכָּל־kol-H3605the landהָאָ֛רֶץha.'A.retzH776,Gileadהַגִּלְעָ֖דha.gil.'AdH1568as farעַד־'ad-H5704as Danדָּֽן׃DanH1835,

3and theNegevהַנֶּ֗גֶבha.Ne.gevH5045and the territoryהַכִּכָּ֞רha.ki.KarH3603in the Valleyבִּקְעַ֧תbik.'AtH1237of Jerichoיְרֵח֛וֹye.re.ChoH3405,the cityH5892of palmH8558treesH8558,as farעַד־'ad-H5704as Zoarצֹֽעַר׃Tzo.'arH6820.

4Then the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “ThisH2088is the landהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834I sworeנִ֠שְׁבַּעְתִּיNish.ba'.tiH7650to Abrahamלְאַבְרָהָ֨םle.'av.ra.HamH85,Isaacלְיִצְחָ֤קle.yitz.ChakH3327,and Jacobוּֽלְיַעֲקֹב֙u.le.ya.'a.KoH3290,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, ‘I will giveאֶתְּנֶ֑נָּה'et.te.Ne.nahH5414it to yourdescendantsלְזַרְעֲךָ֖le.zar.'a.KhaH2233’;I have let you seeהֶרְאִיתִ֣יךָher.'i.Ti.khaH7200itwith your eyesבְעֵינֶ֔יךָve.'ei.Nei.khaH5869,but you will not goH5674overH5674thereוְשָׁ֖מָּהve.Sha.mahH8033.”

5So Mosesמֹשֶׁ֧הmo.ShehH4872the servantעֶֽבֶד־'e.ved-H5650of the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068diedוַיָּ֨מָתvai.Ya.motH4191thereשָׁ֜םshamH8033in the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Moabמוֹאָ֖בmo.'AvH4124,inH5921accordanceH5921withH5921thewordפִּ֥יpiH6310of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

6And He buriedוַיִּקְבֹּ֨רvai.yik.BorH6912him in the valleyבַגַּיְ֙va.gaYH1516in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Moabמוֹאָ֔בmo.'AvH4124,oppositeמ֖וּלmulH4136Beth-peorH1047; butnoוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808oneאִישׁ֙'ishH376knowsיָדַ֥עya.Da'H3045his burialקְבֻ֣רָת֔וֹke.Vu.ra.ToH6900placeH6900to thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.

7Although Mosesוּמֹשֶׁ֗הu.mo.ShehH4872was120מֵאָ֧ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֛יםme.'Ah ve.'es.RimH3967 H6242yearsשָׁנָ֖הsha.NahH8141oldבֶּן־ben-H1121when he diedH4194,his eyesightעֵינ֖וֹei.NoH5869was not dimכָהֲתָ֥הkha.ha.TahH3543,norH3808hadhis vigorלֵחֹֽה׃le.ChohH3893leftנָ֥סnasH5127him.

8So the sonsבְנֵ֨יve.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֧לYis.ra.'ElH3478weptוַיִּבְכּוּ֩vai.yiv.KuH1058for Mosesמֹשֶׁ֛הmo.ShehH4872in the plainsבְּעַֽרְבֹ֥תbe.'ar.VotH6160of Moabמוֹאָ֖בmo.'AvH4124for thirtyשְׁלֹשִׁ֣יםshe.lo.ShimH7970daysי֑וֹםYomH3117;then the daysיְמֵ֥יye.MeiH3117of weepingבְכִ֖יve.KhiH1065andmourningאֵ֥בֶל'E.velH60for Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872cameH8552toH8552anH8552endH8552.

9Now Joshuaוִֽיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַvi.ho.Shu.a'H3091the sonבִּן־bin-H1121of Nunנ֗וּןNunH5126wasfilledמָלֵא֙ma.Le'H4392with the spiritר֣וּחַRu.achH7307of wisdomחָכְמָ֔הchokh.mahH2451,becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588Mosesמֹשֶׁ֛הmo.ShehH4872had laidסָמַ֥ךְsa.MakhH5564his handsיָדָ֖יוya.DavH3027on him; and the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478listenedוַיִּשְׁמְע֨וּvai.yish.me.'UH8085to him and didוַֽיַּעֲשׂ֔וּvai.ya.'a.SuH6213as the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872.

10SinceH5750thatH5750timeH5750noוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808prophetנָבִ֥יאna.Vi'H5030has risenקָ֨םkamH6965in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478like Mosesכְּמֹשֶׁ֑הke.mo.ShehH4872,whomאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068knewיְדָע֣וֹye.da.'OH3045faceפָּנִ֖יםpa.NimH6440to faceפָּנִֽים׃pa.NimH6440,
