The Death of Moses
11Now MosesH4872 wentH5927 upH5927 from the plainsH6160 of MoabH4124 to MountH2022 NeboH5015, to the topH7218 of PisgahH6449, whichH834 is oppositeH5921H6440 JerichoH3405. And the LordH3068 2showedH7200 him allH3605 the landH776, GileadH1568 as farH5704 as DanH1835, 2and allH3605 NaphtaliH5321 and the landH776 of EphraimH669 and ManassehH4519, and allH3605 the landH776 of JudahH3063 as farH5704 as the 34westernH314 seaH3220, 3and the 5NegevH5045 and the territoryH3603 in the ValleyH1237 of JerichoH3405, 6the cityH5892 of palmH8558 treesH8558, as farH5704 as ZoarH6820. 4Then the LordH3068 saidH559 to him, “ThisH2088 is the landH776 whichH834 7I sworeH7650 to AbrahamH85, IsaacH3327, and JacobH3290, sayingH559, ‘I will giveH5414 it to your 8descendantsH2233’; I have let you seeH7200 it with your eyesH5869, but you will not goH5674 overH5674 thereH8033.” 5So MosesH4872 9the servantH5650 of the LordH3068 10diedH4191 thereH8033 in the landH776 of MoabH4124, inH5921 accordanceH5921 withH5921 the 11wordH6310 of the LordH3068. 6And He buriedH6912 him in the valleyH1516 in the landH776 of MoabH4124, 12oppositeH4136 Beth-peorH1047; but 13noH3808 oneH376 knowsH3045 his burialH6900 placeH6900 to thisH2088 dayH3117. 7Although MosesH4872 was 14120H3967H6242 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he diedH4194, 15his eyesightH5869 was not dimH3543, norH3808 had his vigorH3893 leftH5127 him. 8So the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 weptH1058 for MosesH4872 in the plainsH6160 of MoabH4124 for thirtyH7970 daysH3117; then the daysH3117 of weepingH1065 and mourningH60 for MosesH4872 cameH8552 toH8552 anH8552 endH8552.
9Now JoshuaH3091 the sonH1121 of NunH5126 was 16filledH4392 with the spiritH7307 of wisdomH2451, becauseH3588 MosesH4872 had laidH5564 his handsH3027 on him; and the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 listenedH8085 to him and didH6213 as the LordH3068 had commandedH6680 MosesH4872. 10SinceH5750 thatH5750 timeH5750 17noH3808 prophetH5030 has risenH6965 in IsraelH3478 like MosesH4872, whomH834 18the LordH3068 knewH3045 faceH6440 to faceH6440, 11for allH3605 the signsH226 and wondersH4159 whichH834 the LordH3068 sentH7971 him to performH6213 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714 against PharaohH6547, allH3605 his servantsH5650, and allH3605 his landH776-- 12and for allH3605 the mightyH2389 19powerH3027 and allH3605 the greatH1419 terrorH4172 whichH834 MosesH4872 performedH6213 in the sightH5869 of allH3605 IsraelH3478.
