Matthew 6:2-8

2“SoG3767 whenG3752 you 1giveG4160 to the poor, do not soundG4537 a trumpetG4537 beforeG1715 you, as the hypocritesG5273 doG4160 in the synagoguesG4864 and in the streetsG4505, soG3767 that they 2may be honoredG1392 by menG444. 3TrulyG281 I sayG3004 to you, they haveG568 their rewardG3408 in fullG568. 3But when you 4giveG4160 to the poor, do not let your leftG710 handG710 knowG1097 whatG5101 your rightG1188 handG1188 is doingG4160, 4soG3704 that your 5givingG1654 will be in secretG2927; and 6your FatherG3962 who seesG991 what is done in secretG2927 will rewardG591 you.

5“WhenG3752 you prayG4336, you are not to be likeG5613 the hypocritesG5273; for they loveG5368 to 7standG2476 and prayG4336 in the synagoguesG4864 and on the streetG4116 cornersG1137 89soG3704 that they may be seenG5316 by menG444. 10TrulyG281 I sayG3004 to you, they haveG568 their rewardG3408 in fullG568. 6But you, whenG3752 you prayG4336, 11goG1525 into your innerG5009 roomG5009, closeG2808 your doorG2374 and prayG4336 to your FatherG3962 whoG3588 is in secretG2927, and 12your FatherG3962 whoG3588 seesG991 what is done in secretG2927 will rewardG591 you.

7“And when you are prayingG4336, do not useG945 meaninglessG945 repetitionG945 as the GentilesG1482 do, for they supposeG1380 that they will be heardG1522 for their 13manyG4180 wordsG4180. 8SoG3767 do not be likeG3666 them; for 14your FatherG3962 knowsG3609 whatG3739 you needG5532 beforeG4253 you askG154 Him.
