Isaiah 51:3-16
3IndeedH3588, 1the LordH3068 will comfortH5162 ZionH6726; He will comfortH5162 allH3605 her 2wasteH2723 placesH2723. And her 3wildernessH4057 He will makeH7760 like 4EdenH5731, And her desertH6160 like the 5gardenH1588 of the LordH3068; 6JoyH8342 and gladnessH8057 will be foundH4672 in her, ThanksgivingH8426 and soundH6963 of a melodyH2172.
4“7PayH7181 attentionH7181 to Me, O My peopleH5971, And giveH238 earH238 to Me, O My 8nationH3816; For a 9lawH8451 will goH3318 forthH3318 from Me, And I will 10setH7280 My 11justiceH4941 for a 12lightH216 of the peoplesH5971.5My 13righteousnessH6664 is nearH7138, My salvationH3468 has goneH3318 forthH3318, And My 14armsH2220 will judgeH8199 the peoplesH5971; The 15coastlandsH339 will waitH6960 for Me, And for My 16armH2220 they will waitH3176 expectantlyH3176.617LiftH5375 up your eyesH5869 to the skyH8064, Then lookH5027 to the earthH776 beneathH4480H8478; For the 18skyH8064 will vanishH4414 like smokeH6227, And the 19earthH776 will wearH1086 out like a garmentH899 And its inhabitantsH3427 will dieH4191 20in likeH3644 mannerH3654; But My 21salvationH3444 will be foreverH5769, And My righteousnessH6666 will not 22waneH2865.723ListenH8085 to Me, you who knowH3045 righteousnessH6664, A peopleH5971 in whose 24heartH3820 is My lawH8451; Do not fearH3372 the 25reproachH2781 of manH582, NorH408 be dismayedH2865 at their revilingsH1421.8For the 26mothH6211 will eatH398 them like a garmentH899, And the 27grubH5580 will eatH398 them like woolH6785. But My 28righteousnessH6666 will be foreverH5769, And My salvationH3444 to allH1755 generationsH1755.”
929AwakeH5782, awakeH5782, putH3847 on strengthH5797, O armH2220 of the LordH3068; AwakeH5782 as in the 30daysH3117 of oldH6924, the generationsH1755 of longH5769 agoH5769. 31Was it not You who cutH2672 RahabH7293 in piecesH2672, Who piercedH2490 the 32dragonH8577?10Was it not You who 33driedH2717 up the seaH3220, The watersH4325 of the greatH7227 deepH8415; Who madeH7760 the depthsH4615 of the seaH3220 a pathwayH1870 For the 34redeemedH1350 to crossH5674 overH5674?11So the 35ransomedH6299 of the LordH3068 will returnH7725 And comeH935 with joyfulH7440 shoutingH7440 to ZionH6726, And 36everlastingH5769 joyH8057 will be on their headsH7218. They will obtainH5381 gladnessH8342 and joyH8057, And 37sorrowH3015 and sighingH585 will fleeH5127 away.
12“I, even I, am He who 38comfortsH5162 you. WhoH4310 are you that you are afraidH3372 of 39manH582 who diesH4191 And of the sonH1121 of manH120 who is madeH5414 40like grassH2682,13That you have 41forgottenH7911 the LordH3068 your MakerH6213, Who 42stretchedH5186 out the heavensH8064 And laidH3245 the foundationsH3245 of the earthH776, That you 43fearH6342 continuallyH8548 allH3605 dayH3117 long becauseH4480H6440 of the furyH2534 of the oppressorH6693, As he makesH3559 readyH3559 to destroyH7843? But whereH346 is the furyH2534 of the 44oppressorH6693? 14The 4546exileH6808 will soonH4116 be setH6605 freeH6605, and will not dieH4191 in the dungeonH7845, 47norH3808 will his breadH3899 be lackingH2637. 15For I am the LordH3068 your GodH430, who 48stirsH7280 up the seaH3220 and its wavesH1530 roarH1993 (the LordH3068 of hostsH6635 is His nameH8034). 16I have 49putH7760 My wordsH1697 in your mouthH6310 and have 50coveredH3680 you with the shadowH6738 of My handH3027, to 5152establishH5193 the heavensH8064, to foundH3245 the earthH776, and to sayH559 to ZionH6726, ‘You are My peopleH5971.’”
