1 Corinthians 2:4-16
4and my 1messageG3056 and my preachingG2782 were 2not in persuasiveG3981 wordsG3056 of wisdomG4678, but in demonstrationG585 of 3the SpiritG4151 and of powerG1411, 5soG2443 that your faithG4102 would not 4restG1510 on the wisdomG4678 of menG444, but on 5the powerG1411 of GodG2316.
6YetG1161 we do speakG2980 wisdomG4678 amongG1722 thoseG3588 who are 6matureG5046; a wisdomG4678, howeverG1161, not of 7thisG3778 ageG165 norG3761 of the rulersG758 of 8thisG3778 ageG165, who are 9passingG2673 awayG2673; 7but we speakG2980 God’sG2316 wisdomG4678 in a 10mysteryG3466, the hiddenG613 wisdom whichG3739 GodG2316 11predestinedG4309 beforeG4253 the 12agesG165 to our gloryG1391; 8the wisdom 13whichG3739 noneG3762 of the rulersG758 of 14thisG3778 ageG165 has understoodG1097; for ifG1487 they had understoodG1097 it they would not have crucifiedG4717 15the LordG2962 of gloryG1391; 9but justG2531 as it is writtenG1125, “16Things whichG3739 eyeG3788 has not seenG3708 and earG3775 has not heardG191, And which have not enteredG305 the heartG2588 of manG444, AllG3745 that GodG2316 has preparedG2090 for thoseG3588 who loveG25 Him.” 101718For to us GodG2316 revealedG601 them 19throughG1223 the SpiritG4151; for the SpiritG4151 searchesG2045 allG3956 thingsG3956, evenG2532 the 20depthsG899 of GodG2316. 11For whoG5101 among menG444 knowsG3609 the thoughts of a manG444 exceptG1508 the 21spiritG4151 of the manG444 which is in him? EvenG2532 soG3779 the thoughts of GodG2316 noG3762 oneG3762 knowsG1097 exceptG1508 the SpiritG4151 of GodG2316. 12NowG1161 we 22have receivedG2983, not the spiritG4151 of 23the worldG2889, but the SpiritG4151 whoG3588 is from GodG2316, soG2443 that we may knowG3609 the thingsG5483 freelyG5483 givenG5483 to us by GodG2316, 13whichG3739 things we alsoG2532 speakG2980, 24not in wordsG3056 taughtG1318 by humanG442 wisdomG4678, but in those taughtG1318 by the SpiritG4151, 25combiningG4793 spiritualG4152 thoughts with spiritualG4152 words.
14But 26a 27naturalG5591 manG444 28does not acceptG1209 the things of the SpiritG4151 of GodG2316, for they are 29foolishnessG3472 to him; and he cannotG1410G3756 understandG1097 them, becauseG3754 they are spirituallyG4153 30appraisedG350. 15But he who is 31spiritualG4152 appraisesG350 allG3956 thingsG3956, yetG1161 he himselfG846 is appraisedG350 by noG3762 oneG3762. 16For 32whoG5101 has knownG1097 the mindG3563 of the LordG2962, that he will instructG4822 Him? But 33we haveG2192 the mindG3563 of ChristG5547.
