1 Corinthians 2:4-16

4and my 1message and my preaching were 2not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of 3the Spirit and of power, 5so that your faith would not 4rest on the wisdom of men, but on 5the power of God.

6Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are 6mature; a wisdom, however, not of 7this age nor of the rulers of 8this age, who are 9passing away; 7but we speak God’s wisdom in a 10mystery, the hidden wisdom which God 11predestined before the 12ages to our glory; 8the wisdom 13which none of the rulers of 14this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified 15the Lord of glory; 9but just as it is written, “16Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.” 101718For to us God revealed them 19through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the 20depths of God. 11For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the 21spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12Now we 22have received, not the spirit of 23the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13which things we also speak, 24not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, 25combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.

14But 26a 27natural man 28does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are 29foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually 30appraised. 15But he who is 31spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. 16For 32who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But 33we have the mind of Christ.
