Luke 24:17-24

17And He saidG3004to them,“WhatτίνεςtinesG5101are theseοὗτοιhoutoiG3778wordsλόγοιlogoiG3056that you are exchangingἀντιβάλλετεantiballeteG474with oneἀλλήλουςallēlousG240anotherG240as you are walkingπεριπατοῦντες;peripatountesG4043?”And they stoodG2476stillG2476,lookingG4659sadG4659.

18OneεἷςheisG1520of them,namedὀνόματιonomatiG3686CleopasΚλεοπᾶςKleopasG2810,answeredἀποκριθεὶςapokritheisG611and saidG3004to Him, “Are Youthe onlyG3441oneG3441visitingπαροικεῖςparoikeisG3939JerusalemἸερουσαλὴμIerousalēmG2419and unawareοὐκ ἔγνωςouk egnōsG3756 G1097of the things which have happenedγενόμεναgenomenaG1096hereG1722 G846in theseταύταις;tautaisG3778daysἡμέραιςhēmeraisG2250?”

19And He saidG3004to them,“WhatG4169thingsG4169?”And they saidG3004to Him, “The things aboutπερὶperiG4012JesusἸησοῦIēsouG2424the NazareneΝαζαρηνοῦ,NazarēnouG3479,whoὃςhosG3739was aprophetπροφήτηςprophētēsG4396mightyδυνατὸςdunatosG1415in deedἔργῳergōG2041and wordλόγῳlogōG3056in the sightG1727of GodθεοῦtheouG2316and allπαντὸςpantosG3956the peopleλαοῦ,laouG2992,

20and howὅπωςhopōsG3704the chiefἀρχιερεῖςarchiereisG749priestsG749and ourrulersἄρχοντεςarchontesG758deliveredπαρέδωκανparedōkanG3860Him to the sentenceκρίμαkrimaG2917of deathθανάτουthanatouG2288,and crucifiedἐσταύρωσανestaurōsanG4717Him.

21But we were hopingἠλπίζομενēlpizomenG1679that it was He who was goingμέλλωνmellōnG3195toredeemλυτροῦσθαιlutrousthaiG3084IsraelἸσραήλ.IsraēlG2474.IndeedἀλλάallaG235,besidesκαὶ σὺνkai sunG2532 G4862allπᾶσινpasinG3956thisτούτοιςtoutoisG3778,it is the thirdτρίτηνtritēnG5154dayἡμέρανhēmeranG2250sinceἀφ᾽ οὗaph᾽ houG575 G3739theseταύτηνtautēnG3778thingsταῦταtautaG3778happenedἐγένετο.egenetoG1096.

22But alsoκαὶkaiG2532someτινεςtinesG5100womenγυναῖκέςgunaikesG1135amongἐξexG1537us amazedἐξέστησανexestēsanG1839us.When they were at the tombμνημεῖον,mnēmeionG3419earlyG3720in the morningG3720,

23and did not findεὑροῦσαιheurousaiG2147His bodyσῶμαsōmaG4983,they cameἦλθονēlthonG2064,sayingλέγουσαιlegousaiG3004that they had alsoG2532seenἑωρακέναιhe'ōrakenaiG3708a visionὀπτασίανoptasianG3701of angelsἀγγέλωνangelōnG32whoοἳhoiG3739saidλέγουσινlegousinG3004that He was aliveζῆν.zēnG2198.

24SomeτινεςtinesG5100of thoseG3588who were with us wentἀπῆλθόνapēlthonG565to the tombμνημεῖονmnēmeionG3419and foundεὗρονheuronG2147it justκαθὼςkathōsG2531exactlyοὕτωςhoutōsG3779as the womenγυναῖκεςgunaikesG1135alsoG2532had saidG3004;but Him they did not seeG3708.”
