37NowδὲdeG1161onthe lastἐσχάτῃeschatēG2078dayἡμέρᾳhēmeraG2250,the greatμεγάλῃmegalēG3173dayof the feastἑορτῆςhe'ortēsG1859,JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424stoodεἱστήκειheistēkeiG2476and criedἔκραξενekraxenG2896out, sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, “IfἐάνeanG1437anyoneτιςtisG5100is thirstyδιψᾷ,dipsaG1372,let him comeἐρχέσθωerchesthōG2064to Me and drinkπινέτω.pinetōG4095.

38He who believesπιστεύωνpisteuōnG4100in Me,as the Scriptureγραφή,graphēG1124saidG3004, ‘Fromhis innermostG2836beingG2836will flowῥεύσουσινrheusousinG4482riversποταμοὶpotamoiG4215oflivingζῶντος.zōntosG2198waterὕδατοςhudatosG5204.’”

39But thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778He spokeG3004of the SpiritπνεύματοςpneumatosG4151,whomὃhoG3739thoseG3588who believedπιστεύσαντεςpisteusantesG4100in Him were to receiveλαμβάνεινlambaneinG2983; forthe SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151was not yetοὔπωoupōG3768given,becauseὅτιhotiG3754JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424was not yetοὐδέπωoudepōG3764glorifiedἐδοξάσθη.¶edoxasthēG1392.

40Someof the peopleὄχλουochlouG3793thereforeοὖνounG3767,when they heardἀκούσαντεςakousantesG191theseτούτωνtoutōnG3778wordsλόγωνlogōnG3056,were sayingἔλεγονelegonG3004, “ThisοὗτόςhoutosG3778certainlyἀληθῶςalēthōsG230isthe Prophetπροφήτης.prophētēsG4396.”

41OthersἄλλοιalloiG243were sayingἔλεγον·elegonG3004, “ThisοὗτόςhoutosG3778isthe Christχριστός·christosG5547.”Still othersG3588were sayingἔλεγον·elegonG3004, “SurelyμὴmēG3361the ChristχριστὸςchristosG5547is not going to comeἔρχεται;erchetaiG2064from GalileeΓαλιλαίαςGalilaiasG1056, is He?

42Has not the ScriptureγραφὴgraphēG1124saidG3004that the Christχριστός;¶christosG5547comesἔρχεταιerchetaiG2064fromthe descendantsσπέρματοςspermatosG4690of DavidG1160,and from BethlehemΒηθλέεμBēthleemG965,the villageκώμηςkōmēsG2968whereὅπουhopouG3699DavidG1160was?”

43SoοὖνounG3767a divisionΣχίσμαSchismaG4978occurredἐγένετοegenetoG1096in the crowdὄχλῳochlōG3793becauseδι᾽di᾽G1223of Him.

47The PhariseesΦαρισαῖοι·PharisaioiG5330thenοὖνounG3767answeredἀπεκρίθησανapekrithēsanG611them, “You have not alsoκαὶkaiG2532been ledG4105astrayG4105, have you?
