Darby Bible
Job 31:5-17
If I have walkedH1980 with falsehoodH7723, and my footH7272 hath hasted to deceitH4820,
(Let me be weighedH8254 in an even balance, and 1GodH433 will take knowledge of my blamelessness;)
If my stepH838 have turnedH5186 out of the wayH1870, and my heartH3820 followed mine eyesH5869, and if any blot cleaveth to my handsH3709;
Let me sowH2232, and another eatH398; and let mine offspring be rooted out.
If my heartH3820 have been enticedH6601 unto a womanH802, so that I laid waitH693 at my neighbour's doorH6607,
Let my wifeH802 grindH2912 for another, and let othersH312 bowH3766 downH3766 upon her.
For this is an infamy; yea, it is an iniquityH5771 [to be judged by] the judges:
For it is a fireH784 that consumeth to destruction, and would rootH8327 out all mine increase.
If I have despised the cause of my bondman or of my bondmaid, when they contendedH7378 with me,
What then should I do when 2GodH410 riseth up? and if he visitedH6485, what should I answer him?
Did not he that madeH6213 me in the wombH990 makeH6213 him? and did not OneH259 fashion us in the wombH990?
If I have withheldH4513 the poorH1800 from [their] desireH2656, or caused the eyesH5869 of the widowH490 to failH3615;
Or have eatenH398 my morselH6595 aloneH905, so that the fatherlessH3490 ateH398 not thereof,
