Job 15:20-35
20All his daysH3117 the wickedH7563 man is tormented, and numberedH4557 yearsH8141 are allotted to the violent. 21The soundH6963 of terrorsH6343 is in his earsH241: in prosperity the destroyerH7703 cometh upon him. 22He believeth not that he shall returnH7725 out of darknessH2822, and he is singled out for the swordH2719. 23He wandereth abroad for breadH3899, — where may it be? He knoweth that the dayH3117 of darknessH2822 is ready at his handH3027. 24DistressH6862 and anguish make him afraid; they prevail against him, as a kingH4428 readyH6264 for the battle. 25For he hath stretchedH5186 out his handH3027 against 1GodH410, and strengthened himself against the AlmightyH7706: 26He runneth against him, with [outstretched] neckH6677, with the thick bosses of his bucklers; 27For he hath coveredH3680 his faceH6440 with his fatness, and gathered fatH2459 upon [his] flanks. 28And he dwelleth in desolate citiesH5892, in housesH1004 that no man inhabiteth, which are destined to become heapsH1530. 29He shall not becomeH6238 richH6238, neither shall his substance continue, and their possessions shall not extendH5186 upon the earthH776. 30He shall not departH5493 out of darknessH2822; the flameH7957 shall dryH3001 up his branches; and by the breathH7307 of his mouthH6310 shall he go awayH5493. 31Let him not trustH539 in vanityH7723: he isH1961 deceived, for vanityH7723 shall beH1961 his recompense; 32It shall be completeH4390 before his dayH3117, and his branchH3712 shall not be green. 33He shall shake off his unripe grapes as a vineH1612, and shall castH7993 his flower as an oliveH2132. 34For the family of the ungodly shall be barrenH1565, and fireH784 shall consumeH398 the tentsH168 of bribery. 35They conceiveH2029 mischiefH5999, and bringH3205 forthH3205 iniquity, and their bellyH990 prepareth deceitH4820.
