Darby Bible
James 4:4-10
4Adulteresses, know ye not that friendship with the worldG2889 isG1510 enmity with 1GodG2316? Whoever thereforeG3767 isG1510 minded to beG1510 [the] friendG5384 of the worldG2889 isG1510 constituted enemyG2190 of 2GodG2316.
5ThinkG1380 ye that the scriptureG1124 speaksG3004 in vain? Does the SpiritG4151 which has taken his abode in us desire enviously?
6But he givesG1325 more graceG5485. Wherefore he saysG3004, 3GodG2316 sets himself against [the] proud, but givesG1325 graceG5485 to [the] lowly.
7SubjectG5293 yourselvesG4771 thereforeG3767 to 4GodG2316. ResistG436 the devilG1228, and he will fleeG5343 from you.
8DrawG1448 near to 5GodG2316, and he will drawG1448 near to you. CleanseG2511 [your] handsG5495, sinnersG268, and purifyG48 [your] heartsG2588, ye double-minded.
9Be wretched, and mournG3996, and weepG2799: let your laughter be turned to mourningG3997, and [your] joyG5479 to heaviness.
10HumbleG5013 yourselvesG4771 before [the] LordG2962, and he shall exaltG5312 you.
