Samuel 21:2-9

And the kingH4428 calledH7121 the GibeonitesH1393, and spoke to them. (Now the GibeonitesH1393 were not of the children of IsraelH3478, but of the remainderH3499 of the AmoritesH567; and the children of IsraelH3478 had swornH7650 to them; and SaulH7586 soughtH1245 to smite them in his zeal for the children of IsraelH3478 and JudahH3063.)

And DavidH1732 saidH559 to the GibeonitesH1393, What shall I do for you? and with what shall I makeH6213 atonementH3722, that ye may blessH1288 the inheritanceH5159 of Jehovah?

And the GibeonitesH1393 saidH559 to him, As to SaulH7586 and his houseH1004, it is with us no question of receiving silverH3701 or goldH2091, neither is it for us to have any manH376 putH4191 to deathH4191 in IsraelH3478. And he saidH559, What ye sayH559 will I do for you.

And they saidH559 to the kingH4428, The manH376 that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyedH8045 from remaining in all the bordersH1366 of IsraelH3478,

let sevenH7651 menH376 of his sonsH1121 be givenH5414 up to us, and we will hang them up to Jehovah in GibeahH1390 of SaulH7586, the chosen of Jehovah. And the kingH4428 saidH559, I will giveH5414 [them].

But the kingH4428 sparedH2550 MephiboshethH4648, the sonH1121 of JonathanH3083 the sonH1121 of SaulH7586, because of Jehovah's oathH7621 that was between them, between DavidH1732 and JonathanH3083 the sonH1121 of SaulH7586.

And the kingH4428 tookH3947 the twoH8147 sonsH1121 of RizpahH7532 the daughterH1323 of AiahH345, whom she had borneH3205 to SaulH7586, Armoni and MephiboshethH4648; and the fiveH2568 sonsH1121 of [the sister of] MichalH4324 the daughterH1323 of SaulH7586, whom she had borneH3205 to AdrielH5741 the sonH1121 of BarzillaiH1271 the MeholathiteH4259;

and he gaveH5414 them into the handsH3027 of the GibeonitesH1393, and they hanged them on the hillH2022 before Jehovah. And they fellH5307 all sevenH7651 togetherH3162, and were putH5414 to deathH4191 in the firstH7223 daysH3117 of the harvestH7105, in the beginning of barleyH8184 harvestH7105.
