Samuel 12:20-23
Then DavidH1732 aroseH6965 from the earthH776, and washedH7364, and anointed himself, and changedH2498 his clothingH8071, and entered into the houseH1004 of Jehovah and worshipped; then he cameH935 to his own houseH1004 and required them to setH7760 breadH3899 before him, and he ateH398.
And his servantsH5650 saidH559 to him, What thingH1697 is this which thou hast done? thou didst fastH6684 and weepH1058 for the childH3206 aliveH2416; but as soon as the childH3206 is deadH4191, thou dost riseH6965 and eatH398 breadH3899.
And he saidH559, While the childH3206 was yetH5750 aliveH2416, I fastedH6684 and weptH1058; for I thought, Who knowsH3045? [perhaps] Jehovah will be gracious to me, that the childH3206 may live.
But nowH6258 he is deadH4191, whyH4100 should I fastH6684? can I bringH7725 him backH7725 againH5750? I shall goH1980 to him, but he will not returnH7725 to me.
