Samuel 11:6-17
And DavidH1732 sentH7971 to JoabH3097 [saying], SendH7971 me Urijah the HittiteH2850. And JoabH3097 sentH7971 Urijah to DavidH1732.
And when Urijah had comeH935 to him, DavidH1732 askedH7592 how JoabH3097 prospered, and how the peopleH5971 prospered, and how the warH4421 prospered.
And DavidH1732 saidH559 to Urijah, GoH3318 down to thy houseH1004 and washH7364 thy feetH7272. And Urijah departed out of the king's houseH1004, and there followed him presents from the kingH4428.
And Urijah slept at the entranceH6607 of the king's houseH1004 with all the servantsH5650 of his lordH113, and wentH3381 not downH3381 to his houseH1004.
And they had toldH5046 DavidH1732 sayingH559, Urijah did not goH935 down to his houseH1004; and DavidH1732 saidH559 to Urijah, Art thou not comeH935 from a journeyH1870? whyH4069 didst thou not goH935 down to thy houseH1004?
And Urijah saidH559 to DavidH1732, The arkH727, and IsraelH3478, and JudahH3063 abide in boothsH5521; and my lordH113 JoabH3097, and the servantsH5650 of my lordH113, are encampedH2583 in the open fieldsH7704: shall I then goH935 into my houseH1004, to eatH398 and to drinkH8354, and to lieH7901 with my wifeH802? [As] thou livest, and [as] thy soulH5315 liveth, I will not do this thingH1697.
And DavidH1732 saidH559 to Urijah, Abide hereH2088 to-day alsoH1571, and to-morrow I will let thee depart. And Urijah abode in JerusalemH3389 that dayH3117 and the morrow.
And DavidH1732 invited him, and he ateH398 and drankH8354 before him; and he made him drunkH7937. And in the eveningH6153 he wentH3318 out to lieH7901 on his couch with the servantsH5650 of his lordH113, but did not goH3318 down to his houseH1004.
And it came to pass in the morningH1242, that DavidH1732 wroteH3789 a letterH5612 to JoabH3097, and sentH7971 it by Urijah.
And he wroteH3789 in the letterH5612 sayingH559, Set Urijah in the front of the thickest fight, and withdraw from him, that he may be smitten and dieH4191.
And it came to pass as JoabH3097 watchedH8104 the cityH5892, that he assigned Urijah to a placeH4725 whereH834 he knewH3045 that the valiant menH376 were.
And the menH376 of the cityH5892 wentH3318 out and foughtH3898 with JoabH3097; and there fellH5307 some of the peopleH5971, of the servantsH5650 of DavidH1732; and Urijah the HittiteH2850 diedH4191 alsoH1571.
