1 John 5:1-12

1EveryoneG3956 whoG3588 believesG4100 thatG3754 JesusG2424 isG1510 theG3588 ChristG5547 has been bornG1080 ofG1537 GodG2316, andG2532 everyoneG3956 whoG3588 lovesG25 theG3588 Father alsoG2532 lovesG25 thoseG3588 bornG1080 ofG1537 HimG846.1 2ByG1722 thisG3778 we knowG1097 thatG3754 we loveG25 theG3588 childrenG5043 of GodG2316: whenG3752 we loveG25 GodG2316 andG2532 keepG4160 HisG846 commandmentsG1785. 3ForG1063 thisG3778 isG1510 theG3588 loveG26 of GodG2316, thatG2443 we keepG5083 HisG846 commandmentsG1785. AndG2532 HisG846 commandmentsG1785 areG1510 notG3756 burdensomeG926, 4becauseG3754 everyoneG3956 bornG1080 ofG1537 GodG2316 overcomesG3528 theG3588 worldG2889. AndG2532 thisG3778 isG1510 theG3588 victoryG3529 thatG3588 has overcomeG3528 theG3588 worldG2889: ourG1473 faithG4102.

5WhoG5101 thenG1161 overcomesG3528 theG3588 worldG2889? OnlyG1487G3361 he whoG3588 believesG4100 thatG3754 JesusG2424 isG1510 theG3588 SonG5207 of GodG2316. 6ThisG3778 isG1510 theG3588 One who cameG2064 byG1223 waterG5204 andG2532 bloodG129, JesusG2424 ChristG5547—notG3756 byG1722 waterG5204 aloneG3440, butG235 byG1722 waterG5204 andG2532 bloodG129. AndG2532 it isG1510 theG3588 SpiritG4151 whoG3588 testifiesG3140 to this, becauseG3754 theG3588 SpiritG4151 isG1510 theG3588 truthG225. 7ForG3754 there areG1510 threeG5140 that testifyG3140:2 8theG3588 SpiritG4151, theG3588 waterG5204, andG2532 theG3588 bloodG129—andG2532 these threeG5140 areG1510 inG1519 agreementG1520.

9Even ifG1487 we acceptG2983 humanG444 testimonyG3141, theG3588 testimonyG3141 of GodG2316 isG1510 greaterG3173. ForG3754 thisG3778 isG1510 theG3588 testimonyG3141 thatG3754 GodG2316 hasG3140 given aboutG4012 HisG846 SonG5207. 10WhoeverG3588 believesG4100 inG1519 theG3588 SonG5207 of GodG2316 hasG2192 this testimonyG3141 withinG1722 himG848; whoeverG3588 does not believeG3361G4100 GodG2316 has madeG4160 HimG846 out to be a liarG5583, becauseG3754 he has not believedG3756G4100 inG1519 theG3588 testimonyG3141 thatG3739 GodG2316 has givenG3140 aboutG4012 HisG846 SonG5207.

11AndG2532 thisG3778 isG1510 that testimonyG3141: GodG2316 has givenG1325 usG1473 eternalG166 lifeG2222, andG2532 thisG3778 lifeG2222 isG1510 inG1722 HisG846 SonG5207. 12WhoeverG3588 hasG2192 theG3588 SonG5207 hasG2192 lifeG2222; whoeverG3588 does not haveG3361G2192 theG3588 SonG5207 of GodG2316 does not haveG3756G2192 lifeG2222.
