11But Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547גַּם־gam-H1571calledוַיִּקְרָא֙vai.yik.Ra'H7121the wise menלַֽחֲכָמִ֖יםla.cha.kha.MimH2450and sorcerersוְלַֽמְכַשְּׁפִ֑יםve.lam.kha.she.FimH3784and magiciansחַרְטֻמֵּ֥יchar.tu.MeiH2748of Egyptמִצְרַ֛יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,and theyהֵ֜םhemH1992alsoגַם־gam-H1571didוַיַּֽעֲשׂ֨וּvai.ya.'a.SuH6213the same thingsכֵּֽן׃KenH3651by their magic artsבְּלַהֲטֵיהֶ֖םbe.la.ha.tei.HemH3814.

12Eachאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376one threw downוַיַּשְׁלִ֙יכוּ֙vai.yash.Li.khuH7993his staffמַטֵּ֔הוּma.Te.huH4294,and it becameוַיִּהְי֖וּvai.yih.YuH1961a serpentלְתַנִּינִ֑םle.ta.ni.NimH8577.But Aaron’sאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175אֶת־'et-H853staffמַטֵּֽה־ma.teh-H4294swallowed upוַיִּבְלַ֥עvai.yiv.La'H1104the otherstaffsמַטֹּתָֽם׃ma.to.TamH4294.

13Still, Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547heartלֵ֣בlevH3820was hardenedוַיֶּחֱזַק֙vai.ye.che.ZakH2388,and he would notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808listenשָׁמַ֖עsha.Ma'H8085to themאֲלֵהֶ֑ם'a.le.HemH413,just asכַּאֲשֶׁ֖רka.'a.SherH834the LORDיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068had saidדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696.

14Then the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872, “Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֑הpar.'OhH6547heartלֵ֣בlevH3820isunyieldingכָּבֵ֖דka.VedH3515;he refusesמֵאֵ֖ןme.'EnH3985to let the peopleהָעָֽם׃ha.'AmH5971goלְשַׁלַּ֥חle.sha.LachH7971.

15Goלֵ֣ךְlekhH1980toאֶל־'el-H413Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֞הpar.'OhH6547in the morningבַּבֹּ֗קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242as you see himהִנֵּה֙hi.NehH2009walking outיֹצֵ֣אyo.Tze'H3318to the waterהַמַּ֔יְמָהha.May.mahH4325.Waitוְנִצַּבְתָּ֥ve.ni.tzav.TaH5324onעַל־'al-H5921the bankשְׂפַ֣תse.FatH8193of the Nileהַיְאֹ֑רhay.'OrH2975to meet himלִקְרָאת֖וֹlik.ra.ToH7122,and takeתִּקַּ֥חti.KachH3947in your handבְּיָדֶֽךָ׃be.ya.De.khaH3027the staffוְהַמַּטֶּ֛הve.ham.ma.TehH4294thatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834was changedנֶהְפַּ֥ךְneh.PakhH2015into a snakeלְנָחָ֖שׁle.na.ChashH5175.

16Then sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559to himאֵלָ֗יו'e.LavH413, ‘The LORDיְהוָ֞הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֤י'e.lo.HeiH430of the Hebrewsהָעִבְרִים֙ha.'iv.RimH5680,has sent meשְׁלָחַ֤נִי אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙she.la.Cha.ni 'e.Lei.khaH7971 H413to tell youלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559:Let My peopleעַמִּ֔י'a.MiH5971goשַׁלַּח֙sha.LachH7971אֶת־'et-H853,so that they may worship Meוְיַֽעַבְדֻ֖נִיve.ya.'av.Du.niH5647in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּ֑רba.mid.BarH4057.Butוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009untilעַד־'ad-H5704nowכֹּֽה׃KohH3541you have notלֹא־lo'-H3808listenedשָׁמַ֖עְתָּsha.Ma'.taH8085.

17This is whatכֹּ֚הkohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559:By thisבְּזֹ֣אתbe.ZotH2063you will knowתֵּדַ֔עte.Da'H3045thatכִּ֖יkiH3588Iאֲנִ֣י'a.NiH589am the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.Beholdהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009,with the staffבַּמַּטֶּ֣הba.ma.TehH4294אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834in my handבְּיָדִ֗יbe.ya.DiH3027Iאָנֹכִ֜י'a.no.KhiH595will strikeמַכֶּ֣ה׀ma.KehH5221the waterהַמַּ֛יִםha.Ma.yimH4325אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834of the Nileעַל־ בַּיְאֹ֖ר'al- bay.'OrH2975 H5921,and it will turnוְנֶהֶפְכ֥וּve.ne.hef.KhuH2015to bloodלְדָֽם׃le.DamH1818.

18The fishוְהַדָּגָ֧הve.ha.da.GahH1710אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834in the Nileבַּיְאֹ֛רbay.'OrH2975will dieתָּמ֖וּתta.MutH4191,the riverהַיְאֹ֑רhay.'OrH2975will stinkוּבָאַ֣שׁu.va.'AshH887,and the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4713will be unableוְנִלְא֣וּve.nil.'UH3811to drinkלִשְׁתּ֥וֹתlish.TotH8354itsמִן־ הַיְאֹֽר׃ סmin- hay.'OrH4480 H2975waterמַ֖יִםMa.yimH4325.’”

19And the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872, “Tellאֱמֹ֣ר אֶֽל־'e.Mor 'el-H559 H413Aaronאַהֲרֹ֡ן'a.ha.RonH175, ‘Takeקַ֣חkachH3947your staffמַטְּךָ֣ma.te.KhaH4294and stretch outוּנְטֵֽה־u.ne.teh-H5186your handיָדְךָ֩ya.de.KhaH3027overעַל־'al-H5921the watersמֵימֵ֨יmei.MeiH4325of Egyptמִצְרַ֜יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714—overעַֽל־'al-H5921their riversנַהֲרֹתָ֣ם׀ עַל־na.ha.ro.Tam 'al-H5104 H5921andcanalsיְאֹרֵיהֶ֣ם וְעַל־ye.'o.rei.Hem ve.'al-H2975 H5921and pondsאַגְמֵיהֶ֗ם'ag.mei.HemH98andוְעַ֛לve.'AlH5921allכָּל־kol-H3605the reservoirsמִקְוֵ֥ה מֵימֵיהֶ֖םmik.Veh mei.mei.HemH4325 H4723—that they may becomeוְיִֽהְיוּ־ve.yih.yu-H1961bloodדָ֑םDamH1818.’There will beוְהָ֤יָהve.Ha.yahH1961bloodדָם֙damH1818throughoutבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,even in the vessels of woodוּבָעֵצִ֖יםu.va.'e.TzimH6086and stoneוּבָאֲבָנִֽים׃u.va.'a.va.NimH68.”

20Mosesמֹשֶׁ֨הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹ֜ןve.'a.ha.RonH175didוַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־ כֵן֩vai.ya.'a.su- khenH6213 H3651just asכַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר׀ka.'a.SherH834the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֣הtzi.VahH6680;in the presenceלְעֵינֵ֣יle.'ei.NeiH5869of Pharaohפַרְעֹ֔ה וּלְעֵינֵ֖יfar.'Oh u.le.'ei.NeiH6547 H5869and his officialsעֲבָדָ֑יו'a.va.DavH5650, Aaronraisedוַיָּ֤רֶםvai.Ya.remH7311the staffבַּמַּטֶּה֙ba.ma.TehH4294and struckוַיַּ֤ךְvai.YakhH5221אֶת־'et-H853the waterהַמַּ֙יִם֙ha.Ma.yimH4325אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834of the Nileבַּיְאֹ֔רbay.'OrH2975,and allכָּל־kol-H3605the waterהַמַּ֥יִםha.Ma.yimH4325אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834בַּיְאֹ֖רbay.'OrH2975was turnedוַיֵּהָֽפְכ֛וּvai.ye.ha.fe.KhuH2015to bloodלְדָֽם׃le.DamH1818.
