1Then Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872answeredוַיַּ֤עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030וַיֹּ֔אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “What ifוְהֵן֙ve.HenH2005they do notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808believeיַאֲמִ֣ינוּya.'a.Mi.nuH539meorוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808listenיִשְׁמְע֖וּyish.me.'UH8085to my voiceבְּקֹלִ֑יbe.ko.LiH6963?Forכִּ֣יkiH3588they may sayיֹֽאמְר֔וּyo.me.RuH559, ‘The LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068has notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808appearedנִרְאָ֥הnir.'AhH7200to youאֵלֶ֖יךָ'e.Lei.khaH413.’”

2And the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068askedוַיֹּ֧אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559himאֵלָ֛יו'e.LavH413, “What is thatמַה־זֶּ֣הmah-zeh-H4100in your handבְיָדֶ֑ךָve.ya.De.khaH3027?” “A staffמַטֶּֽה׃ma.TehH4294,”he repliedוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559.

3“Throwהַשְׁלִיכֵ֣הוּhash.li.Khe.huH7993it on the groundאַ֔רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776,”saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559the LORD.So Moses threwוַיַּשְׁלִיכֵ֥הוּvai.yash.li.Khe.huH7993it on the groundאַ֖רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776,and it becameוַיְהִ֣יvay.HiH1961a snakeלְנָחָ֑שׁle.na.ChashH5175,andמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872heranוַיָּ֥נָסvai.Ya.nosH5127from itמִפָּנָֽיו׃mi.pa.NavH6440.

4“Stretch outשְׁלַח֙she.LachH7971your handיָֽדְךָ֔ya.de.KhaH3027and grab itוֶאֱחֹ֖זve.'e.ChozH270by the tailבִּזְנָב֑וֹbiz.na.VoH2180,”the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872, whoreached outוַיִּשְׁלַ֤חvai.yish.LachH7971his handיָדוֹ֙ya.DoH3027and caughtוַיַּ֣חֲזֶקvai.Ya.cha.zekH2388the snake,and it turned backוַיְהִ֥יvay.HiH1961into a staffלְמַטֶּ֖הle.ma.TehH4294in his handבְּכַפּֽוֹ׃be.kha.PoH3709.

5“This is so thatלְמַ֣עַןle.Ma.'anH4616they may believeיַאֲמִ֔ינוּya.'a.Mi.nuH539thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of their fathersאֲבֹתָ֑ם'a.vo.TamH1—the Godאֱלֹהֵ֧י'e.lo.HeiH430of Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֛ם'av.ra.HamH85,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Isaacיִצְחָ֖קyitz.ChakH3327,and the Godוֵאלֹהֵ֥יve.lo.HeiH430of Jacobיַעֲקֹֽב׃ya.'a.KoH3290—has appearedנִרְאָ֥הnir.'AhH7200to youאֵלֶ֛יךָ'e.Lei.khaH413.”

6Furthermoreע֗וֹדodH5750,the LORDיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּאמֶר֩vai.yo.MerH559to Moses, “Putהָֽבֵא־ נָ֤אha.ve'- na'H935 H4994your handיָֽדְךָ֙ya.de.KhaH3027inside your cloakבְּחֵיקֶ֔ךָbe.chei.Ke.chaH2436.”So he putוַיָּבֵ֥אvai.ya.Ve'H935his handיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027inside his cloakבְּחֵיק֑וֹbe.chei.KoH2436,and when he took it outוַיּ֣וֹצִאָ֔הּ וְהִנֵּ֥הvai.Yo.tzi.'Ah ve.hi.NehH3318 H2009,his handיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027wasleprousמְצֹרַ֥עַתme.tzo.Ra.'atH6879,white as snowכַּשָּֽׁלֶג׃ka.Sha.legH7950.

7“Put your handיָֽדְךָ֙ya.de.KhaH3027backהָשֵׁ֤בha.ShevH7725insideאֶל־'el-H413your cloakחֵיקֶ֔ךָchei.Ke.chaH2436,”saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559the LORD.So Moses put his handיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027backוַיָּ֥שֶׁבvai.Ya.shevH7725insideאֶל־'el-H413his cloakחֵיק֑וֹchei.KoH2436,and when he took it outוַיּֽוֹצִאָהּ֙ מֵֽחֵיק֔וֹ וְהִנֵּה־vai.yo.tzi.'Ah me.chei.Ko ve.hi.neh-H3318 H2436 H2009,it was restoredשָׁ֖בָהSha.vahH7725,like the rest of his skinכִּבְשָׂרֽוֹ׃kiv.sa.RoH1320.

8And the LORD saidוְהָיָה֙ve.ha.YahH1961, “Ifאִם־'im-H518they refuseלֹ֣אlo'H3808to believeיַאֲמִ֣ינוּya.'a.Mi.nuH539youorוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808heedיִשְׁמְע֔וּyish.me.'UH8085the witnessלְקֹ֖לle.KolH6963of the firstהָרִאשׁ֑וֹןha.ri.ShonH7223signהָאֹ֣תha.'OtH226,they may believeוְהֶֽאֱמִ֔ינוּve.he.'e.Mi.nuH539thatלְקֹ֖לle.KolH6963of the secondהָאֹ֥ת הָאַחֲרֽוֹן׃ha.'Ot ha.'a.cha.RonH314 H226.

9Butוְהָיָ֡הve.ha.YahH1961ifאִם־'im-H518they do notלֹ֣אlo'H3808believeיַאֲמִ֡ינוּya.'a.Mi.nuH539evenגַּם֩gamH1571theseהָאֵ֗לֶּה וְלֹ֤אha.'E.leh ve.Lo'H428 H3808twoלִשְׁנֵ֨יlish.NeiH8147signsהָאֹת֜וֹתha.'o.TotH226or listenיִשְׁמְעוּן֙yish.me.'UnH8085to your voiceלְקֹלֶ֔ךָle.ko.Le.chaH6963,takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֙ve.la.kach.TaH3947some waterמִמֵּימֵ֣יmi.mei.MeiH4325from the Nileהַיְאֹ֔רhay.'OrH2975and pourוְשָׁפַכְתָּ֖ve.sha.fakh.TaH8210it on the dry groundהַיַּבָּשָׁ֑הhai.ya.ba.ShahH3004.Thenוְהָי֤וּve.ha.YuH1961the waterהַמַּ֙יִם֙ha.Ma.yimH4325אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you takeתִּקַּ֣חti.KachH3947fromמִן־min-H4480the Nileהַיְאֹ֔רhay.'OrH2975will becomeוְהָי֥וּve.ha.YuH1961bloodלְדָ֖םle.DamH1818on the groundבַּיַּבָּֽשֶׁת׃bai.ya.Ba.shetH3006.”

10“Pleaseבִּ֣יbiH994,Lordאֲדֹנָי֒'a.do.NaiH136,”Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872repliedוַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֶל־ יְהוָה֮vai.Yo.mer 'el- Yah.wehH559 H413 H3068, “Iאָנֹ֗כִי'a.No.khiH595have neverלֹא֩ אִ֨ישׁlo' 'ishH3808 H376been eloquentדְּבָרִ֜יםde.va.RimH1697,neitherגַּ֤םgamH1571in the pastמִתְּמוֹל֙mi.te.mOlH8543גַּ֣םgamH1571מִשִּׁלְשֹׁ֔םmi.shil.ShomH8032norגַּ֛םgamH1571sinceמֵאָ֥זme.'AzH227You have spokenדַּבֶּרְךָda.ber.khaH1696toאֶל־'el-H413Your servantעַבְדֶּ֑ךָ'av.De.khaH5650,forכִּ֧יkiH3588Iאָנֹֽכִי׃'a.No.khiH595am slowכְבַד־khe.vad-H3515of speechפֶּ֛הpehH6310andוּכְבַ֥דu.khe.VadH3515tongueלָשׁ֖וֹןla.ShonH3956.”

11And the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to himאֵלָ֗יו'e.LavH413, “Whoמִ֣יmiH4310gaveשָׂ֣םsamH7760manלָֽאָדָם֒la.'a.DamH120his mouthפֶּה֮pehH6310?Orא֚וֹ'oH176whoמִֽי־mi-H4310makesיָשׂ֣וּםya.SumH7760the muteאִלֵּ֔ם'i.LemH483orא֣וֹ'oH176the deafחֵרֵ֔שׁ א֥וֹche.Resh 'oH2795 H176,the sightedפִקֵּ֖חַfi.Ke.achH6493orא֣וֹ'oH176the blindעִוֵּ֑ר'i.VerH5787?Is it notהֲלֹ֥אha.Lo'H3808Iאָנֹכִ֖י'a.no.KhiH595,the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068?

12Nowוְעַתָּ֖הve.'a.TahH6258goלֵ֑ךְLekhH1980!Iוְאָנֹכִי֙ve.'a.no.KhiH595will help youאֶֽהְיֶ֣ה עִם־'eh.Yeh 'im-H1961 H5973as you speakפִּ֔יךָPi.khaH6310,and I will teach youוְהוֹרֵיתִ֖יךָve.ho.rei.Ti.khaH3384whatאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834to sayתְּדַבֵּֽר׃te.da.BerH1696.”

13But Moses repliedוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Pleaseבִּ֣יbiH994,Lordאֲדֹנָ֑י'a.do.NaiH136,sendשְֽׁלַֽח־ נָ֖אshe.lach- na'H7971 H4994someone elseבְּיַד־ תִּשְׁלָֽח׃be.yad- tish.LachH3027 H7971.”

14Then the angerאַ֨ף'afH639of the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068burnedוַיִּֽחַר־vai.yi.char-H2734against Mosesבְּמֹשֶׁ֗הbe.mo.ShehH4872,and He saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “Is notהֲלֹ֨אha.Lo'H3808Aaronאַהֲרֹ֤ן'a.ha.RonH175the Leviteהַלֵּוִ֔יha.le.ViH3881your brotherאָחִ֙יךָ֙'a.Chi.khaH251?I knowיָדַ֕עְתִּיya.Da'.tiH3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588heה֑וּאHu'H1931can speak wellH1696,andוְגַ֤םve.GamH1571heהוּא֙hu'H1931is nowהִנֵּה־hi.neh-H2009on his wayיֹצֵ֣אyo.Tze'H3318to meet youלִקְרָאתֶ֔ךָlik.ra.Te.chaH7122.When he sees youוְרָאֲךָ֖ve.ra.'a.KhaH7200,he will be gladוְשָׂמַ֥חve.sa.MachH8055in his heartבְּלִבּֽוֹ׃be.li.BoH3820.
