6Then the LORDיְהוָ֥ה׀Yah.wehH3068passedוַיַּעֲבֹ֨רvai.ya.'a.VorH5674in front ofעַל־'al-H5921Mosesפָּנָיו֮pa.NavH6440and called outוַיִּקְרָא֒vai.yik.Ra'H7121: “The LORDיְהוָ֣ה׀Yah.wehH3068,the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068Godאֵ֥ל'elH410,is compassionateרַח֖וּםra.ChumH7349and graciousוְחַנּ֑וּןve.cha.NunH2587,slowאֶ֥רֶךְ'E.rekhH750to angerאַפַּ֖יִם'a.Pa.yimH639,aboundingוְרַב־ve.rav-H7227in loving devotionחֶ֥סֶדChe.sedH2617and faithfulnessוֶאֱמֶֽת׀ve.'e.MetH571,

7maintainingנֹצֵ֥רno.TzerH5341loving devotionחֶ֙סֶד֙che.sedH2617to a thousandלָאֲלָפִ֔יםla.'a.la.FimH505generations,forgivingנֹשֵׂ֥אno.Se'H5375iniquityעָוֹ֛ן'a.VonH5771,transgressionוָפֶ֖שַׁעva.Fe.sha'H6588,and sinוְחַטָּאָ֑הve.cha.ta.'AhH2403.Yet He will by no meansלֹ֣אlo'H3808leave the guilty unpunishedH5352;He will visitפֹּקֵ֣ד׀po.KedH6485the iniquityעֲוֹ֣ן'a.VonH5771of the fathersאָב֗וֹת'a.VotH1onעַל־'al-H5921their childrenH1121andוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921grandchildrenH1121toעַל־'al-H5921the thirdשִׁלֵּשִׁ֖ים וְעַל־shi.le.Shim ve.'al-H8029 H5921and fourth generationsרִבֵּעִֽים׃ri.be.'ImH7256.”

8Mosesמֹשֶׁ֑הmo.ShehH4872immediatelyוַיְמַהֵ֖רvay.ma.HerH4116bowed downוַיִּקֹּ֥דvai.yi.KodH6915to the groundאַ֖רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776and worshipedוַיִּשְׁתָּֽחוּ׃vai.yish.Ta.chuH7812.

9“O Lordאֲדֹנָ֔י'a.do.NaiH136,”he saidוַיֹּ֡אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “ifאִם־'im-H518I have indeed foundמָצָ֨אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672favorחֵ֤ןchenH2580in Your sightבְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙be.'ei.Nei.khaH5869,my Lordאֲדֹנָ֖י'a.do.NaiH136,pleaseנָא֩na'H4994goיֵֽלֶךְ־ נָ֥אye.lekh- na'H1980 H4994with usבְּקִרְבֵּ֑נוּbe.kir.Be.nuH7130.Althoughכִּ֤יkiH3588thisה֔וּאHu'H1931is a stiff-neckedקְשֵׁה־ עֹ֙רֶף֙ke.sheh- 'o.refH7186 H6203peopleעַם־'am-H5971,forgiveוְסָלַחְתָּ֛ve.sa.lach.TaH5545our iniquityלַעֲוֹנֵ֥נוּla.'a.vo.Ne.nuH5771and sinוּלְחַטָּאתֵ֖נוּu.le.cha.ta.Te.nuH2403,and take us as Your inheritanceוּנְחַלְתָּֽנוּ׃u.ne.chal.Ta.nuH5157.”

13Ratherכִּ֤יkiH3588אֶת־'et-H853,you must tear downתִּתֹּצ֔וּןti.to.TzunH5422וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853their altarsמִזְבְּחֹתָם֙miz.be.cho.TamH4196,smashתְּשַׁבֵּר֑וּןte.sha.be.RunH7665וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853their sacred stonesמַצֵּבֹתָ֖םma.tze.vo.TamH4676,and chop downתִּכְרֹתֽוּן׃tikh.ro.TunH3772their Asherah polesאֲשֵׁרָ֖יו'a.she.RavH842.

14Forכִּ֛יkiH3588you must notלֹ֥אlo'H3808worshipתִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֖הtish.ta.cha.VehH7812any otherאַחֵ֑ר'a.CherH312godלְאֵ֣לle.'ElH410,forכִּ֤יkiH3588the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,whose nameשְׁמ֔וֹshe.MoH8034isJealousקַנָּ֣אka.Na'H7067, isa jealousקַנָּ֖א הֽוּא׃ka.Na' Hu'H7067 H1931Godאֵ֥ל'elH410.

15Do notפֶּן־pen-H6435makeתִּכְרֹ֥תtikh.RotH3772a covenantבְּרִ֖יתbe.RitH1285with the inhabitantsלְיוֹשֵׁ֣בle.yo.ShevH3427of the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,for when they prostitute themselvesוְזָנ֣וּ׀ve.za.NuH2181toאַחֲרֵ֣י'a.cha.ReiH310their godsאֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֗ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430and sacrificeוְזָבְחוּ֙ve.za.ve.ChuH2076toלֵאלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔םle.Lo.hei.HemH430them,they will inviteוְקָרָ֣אve.ka.Ra'H7121you,and you will eatוְאָכַלְתָּ֖ve.'a.khal.TaH398their sacrificesמִזִּבְחֽוֹ׃mi.ziv.ChoH2077.

16And when you takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֥ve.la.kach.TaH3947some of their daughtersמִבְּנֹתָ֖יוmi.be.no.TavH1323as brides for your sonsלְבָנֶ֑יךָle.va.Nei.khaH1121,their daughtersבְנֹתָ֗יוve.no.TavH1323will prostitute themselvesוְזָנ֣וּve.za.NuH2181toאַחֲרֵי֙'a.cha.ReiH310their godsאֱלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ן'e.Lo.hei.HenH430and cause your sonsבָּנֶ֔יךָba.Nei.khaH1121to do the sameוְהִזְנוּ֙ve.hiz.NuH2181אֶת־'et-H853אַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽן׃'e.lo.hei.HenH430.

17You shall makeתַעֲשֶׂה־ta.'a.seh-H6213noלֹ֥אlo'H3808moltenמַסֵּכָ֖הma.se.KhahH4541godsאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430for yourselves.
