Luke 21:12-24
12But before all these thingsG3778, they shall lay their handsG5495 on you, and shall persecuteG1377 you, deliveringG3860 you up to the synagoguesG4864 and prisonsG5438, bringing you before kingsG935 and governorsG2232 for my name’sG3686 sakeG1752. 13It shall turn out unto you for a testimonyG3142. 14Settle it thereforeG3767 in your heartsG2588, not to meditate beforehand how to answer: 15for I will giveG1325 you a mouthG4750 and wisdomG4678, which all your adversaries shall not be ableG1410 to withstand or to gainsay. 16But ye shall be deliveredG3860 up evenG2532 by parentsG1118, and brethren, and kinsfolk, and friendsG5384; and some of you shall they cause to be putG2289 to deathG2289. 17And ye shall beG1510 hatedG3404 of all men for my name’sG3686 sakeG1223. 18And not a hairG2359 of your headG2776 shall perishG622. 19In your patience ye shall win your soulsG5590.
20But whenG3752 ye seeG3708 JerusalemG2419 compassed with armies, thenG5119 knowG1097 that her desolationG2050 is at hand. 21Then let them that are in Judæa fleeG5343 unto the mountainsG3735; and let them that are in the midstG3319 of her depart out; and let not them that are in the countryG5561 enterG1525 therein. 22For these areG1510 daysG2250 of vengeanceG1557, that all thingsG3778 which areG1510 writtenG1125 may beG1510 fulfilled. 23WoeG3759 unto them that areG1510 with child and to them that give suck in those daysG2250! for there shall beG1510 greatG3173 distressG318 upon the landG1093, and wrathG3709 unto this peopleG2992. 24And they shall fallG4098 by the edge of the swordG3162, and shall beG1510 led captiveG163 into all the nationsG1484: and JerusalemG2419 shall beG1510 troddenG3961 downG4098 of the GentilesG1484, until the timesG2540 of the GentilesG1484 beG1510 fulfilled.
