2 Thessalonians 2
1NowG1161 we beseech you, brethren, touching the coming of our LordG2962 JesusG2424 ChristG5547, and our gathering togetherG1997 unto him; 2to the end that ye be not quickly shakenG4531 from your mindG3563, nor yet be troubled, either by spiritG4151, or by wordG3056, or by epistle as from us, as that the dayG2250 of the LordG2962 is just at hand; 3let no manG444 beguile you in any wise: for it will not be, except the falling away comeG2064 firstG4413, and the manG444 of sin be revealedG601, the sonG5207 of perdition, 4he that opposeth and exalteth himself against all that isG1510 called GodG2316 or that isG1510 worshipped; so that he sitteth in the templeG3485 of GodG2316, setting himself forth as GodG2316. 5RememberG3421 ye not, that, when I wasG1510 yetG2089 with you, I toldG3004 you these thingsG3778? 6And nowG3568 ye know that which restraineth, to the end that he may be revealedG601 in his ownG1438 seasonG2540. 7For the mysteryG3466 of lawlessnessG458 doth alreadyG2235 workG1754: onlyG3440 there is oneG3588 that restraineth nowG737, until he be taken out of the way. 8And then shall be revealedG601 the lawlessG459 oneG3739, whom the LordG2962 JesusG2424 shall slay with the breath of his mouthG4750, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his coming; 9evenG2532 he, whose coming isG1510 accordingG2596 to the workingG1753 of SatanG4567 with all powerG1411 and signsG4592 and lyingG5579 wondersG5059, 10and with all deceitG539 of unrighteousnessG93 for them that perishG622; because they receivedG1209 not the loveG26 of the truthG225, that they might be savedG4982. 11And for this cause GodG2316 sendeth them a workingG1753 of errorG4106, that they should believeG4100 a lieG5579: 12that they all might be judgedG2919 who believedG4100 not the truthG225, but had pleasureG2106 in unrighteousnessG93.
13But we are bound to giveG2168 thanksG2168 to GodG2316 alwaysG3842 for you, brethren belovedG25 of the LordG2962, for that GodG2316 chose you from the beginning unto salvationG4991 in sanctificationG38 of the SpiritG4151 and belief of the truthG225: 14whereunto he calledG2564 you through our gospelG2098, to the obtainingG4047 of the gloryG1391 of our LordG2962 JesusG2424 ChristG5547. 15So then, brethren, standG4739 fastG2902, and holdG2902 the traditionsG3862 which ye were taughtG1321, whether by wordG3056, or by epistle of ours.
16NowG1161 our LordG2962 JesusG2424 ChristG5547 himself, and GodG2316 our FatherG3962 who lovedG25 us and gaveG1325 us eternalG166 comfortG3874 and goodG18 hopeG1680 through graceG5485, 17comfortG3870 your heartsG2588 and establish them in every goodG18 workG2041 and wordG3056.
