2 Kings 22:11-20
11And it came to pass, when the kingH4428 had heardH8085 the wordsH1697 of the bookH5612 of the lawH8451, that he rent his clothesH899. 12And the kingH4428 commandedH6680 HilkiahH2518 the priestH3548, and AhikamH296 the sonH1121 of ShaphanH8227, and AchborH5907 the sonH1121 of MicaiahH4320, and ShaphanH8227 the scribeH5608, and AsaiahH6222 the king’sH4428 servantH5650, sayingH559, 13Go ye, inquire of Jehovah for me, and for the peopleH5971, and for all JudahH3063, concerning the wordsH1697 of this bookH5612 that is foundH4672; for greatH1419 is the wrathH2534 of Jehovah that is kindledH3341 against us, because our fathersH1 have not hearkened unto the wordsH1697 of this bookH5612, to do according unto all that which is writtenH3789 concerning us.
14So HilkiahH2518 the priestH3548, and AhikamH296, and AchborH5907, and ShaphanH8227, and AsaiahH6222, went unto HuldahH2468 the prophetessH5031, the wifeH802 of ShallumH7967 the sonH1121 of TikvahH8616, the sonH1121 of Harhas, keeperH8104 of the wardrobe (now she dweltH3427 in JerusalemH3389 in the secondH4932 quarter); and they communed with her. 15And she saidH559 unto them, ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478: Tell ye the manH376 that sentH7971 you unto me, 16ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, Behold, I will bringH935 evilH7451 upon this placeH4725, and upon the inhabitantsH3427 thereof, even all the wordsH1697 of the bookH5612 which the kingH4428 of JudahH3063 hath readH7121. 17Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incenseH6999 unto otherH312 godsH430, that they might provokeH3707 me to angerH3707 with all the workH4639 of their handsH3027, therefore my wrathH2534 shall be kindledH3341 against this placeH4725, and it shall not be quenchedH3518. 18But unto the kingH4428 of JudahH3063, who sentH7971 you to inquire of Jehovah, thusH3541 shall ye sayH559 to him, ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478: As touching the wordsH1697 which thou hast heardH8085, 19because thy heartH3824 wasH1961 tender, and thou didst humbleH3665 thyself before Jehovah, when thou heardest what I spake against this placeH4725, and against the inhabitantsH3427 thereof, that they should becomeH1961 a desolationH8047 and a curseH7045, and hast rent thy clothesH899, and weptH1058 before me; I alsoH1571 have heardH8085 thee, saith Jehovah. 20ThereforeH3651, behold, I will gatherH622 thee to thy fathersH1, and thou shalt be gatheredH622 to thy graveH6913 in peaceH7965, neither shall thine eyesH5869 seeH7200 all the evilH7451 which I will bringH935 upon this placeH4725. And they broughtH935 the kingH4428 wordH1697 again.
