10And ShallumH7967 the sonH1121 of JabeshH3003 conspired against him, and smote him before the peopleH5971, and slew him, and reignedH4427 in his stead. 11Now the restH3499 of the acts of ZechariahH2148, behold, they are writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chronicles of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478. 12This wasH1961 the wordH1697 of Jehovah which he spake unto JehuH3058, sayingH559, Thy sonsH1121 to the fourthH7243 generation shall sitH3427 upon the throneH3678 of IsraelH3478. And so it came to pass.

13ShallumH7967 the sonH1121 of JabeshH3003 began to reignH4427 in the nineH8672 and thirtieth yearH8141 of UzziahH5818 kingH4428 of JudahH3063; and he reignedH4427 the space of a monthH3391 in SamariaH8111. 14And MenahemH4505 the sonH1121 of GadiH1424 wentH935 up from TirzahH8656, and cameH935 to SamariaH8111, and smote ShallumH7967 the sonH1121 of JabeshH3003 in SamariaH8111, and slew him, and reignedH4427 in his stead. 15Now the restH3499 of the acts of ShallumH7967, and his conspiracyH7195 which he made, behold, they are writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chronicles of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478. 16ThenH227 MenahemH4505 smote TiphsahH8607, and all that were therein, and the bordersH1366 thereof, from TirzahH8656: because they openedH6605 not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.

17In the nineH8672 and thirtieth yearH8141 of AzariahH5838 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 began MenahemH4505 the sonH1121 of GadiH1424 to reignH4427 over IsraelH3478, and reignedH4427 tenH6235 yearsH8141 in SamariaH8111. 18And he did that which was evilH7451 in the sight of Jehovah: he departedH5493 not all his daysH3117 from the sinsH2398 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, wherewith he madeH6213 IsraelH3478 to sinH2398. 19There cameH935 against the landH776 PulH6322 the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804; and MenahemH4505 gaveH5414 PulH6322 a thousandH505 talentsH3603 of silverH3701, that his handH3027 might beH1961 with him to confirm the kingdomH4467 in his handH3027. 20And MenahemH4505 exacted the moneyH3701 of IsraelH3478, even of all the mightyH1368 menH376 of wealthH2428, of each manH376 fiftyH2572 shekelsH8255 of silverH3701, to giveH5414 to the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804. So the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804 turnedH7725 backH7725, and stayed not there in the landH776. 21Now the restH3499 of the acts of MenahemH4505, and all that he did, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chronicles of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478? 22And MenahemH4505 slept with his fathersH1; and PekahiahH6494 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

23In the fiftieth yearH8141 of AzariahH5838 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 PekahiahH6494 the sonH1121 of MenahemH4505 began to reignH4427 over IsraelH3478 in SamariaH8111, and reignedH4427 two yearsH8141. 24And he did that which was evilH7451 in the sight of Jehovah: he departedH5493 not from the sinsH2398 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, wherewith he madeH6213 IsraelH3478 to sinH2398. 25And PekahH6492 the sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425, his captain, conspired against him, and smote him in SamariaH8111, in the castle of the king’sH4428 houseH1004, with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fiftyH2572 menH376 of the Gileadites: and he slew him, and reignedH4427 in his stead. 26Now the restH3499 of the acts of PekahiahH6494, and all that he did, behold, they are writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chronicles of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478.

27In the twoH8147 and fiftieth yearH8141 of AzariahH5838 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 PekahH6492 the sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425 began to reignH4427 over IsraelH3478 in SamariaH8111, and reignedH4427 twentyH6242 yearsH8141. 28And he did that which was evilH7451 in the sight of Jehovah: he departedH5493 not from the sinsH2398 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, wherewith he madeH6213 IsraelH3478 to sinH2398.

29In the daysH3117 of PekahH6492 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 cameH935 Tiglath-pileserH8407 kingH4428 of AssyriaH804, and tookH3947 IjonH5859, and Abel-beth-maacahH62, and JanoahH3239, and KedeshH6943, and HazorH2674, and GileadH1568, and GalileeH1551, all the landH776 of NaphtaliH5321; and he carried them captive to AssyriaH804. 30And HosheaH1954 the sonH1121 of ElahH425 made a conspiracyH7195 against PekahH6492 the sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425, and smote him, and slew him, and reignedH4427 in his stead, in the twentieth yearH8141 of JothamH3147 the sonH1121 of UzziahH5818.
