John 9:1-9
As Jesus passedG3855 by, He sawG3708 a manG444 who had been blindG5185 from birthG1079.
And His disciplesG3101 askedG2065 Him, “1RabbiG4461, whoG5101 sinnedG264, 2thisG3778 manG3778 orG2228 his 3parentsG1118, that he would be bornG1080 blindG5185?”
JesusG2424 answeredG611, “It was neitherG3777 that thisG3778 manG3778 sinnedG264, norG3777 his parentsG1118; but it was 4soG2443 thatG2443 the worksG2041 of GodG2316 might be displayedG5319 in him.
We mustG1163 carryG2038 outG2038 the worksG2041 of Him who sentG3992 Me 5asG2193 longG2193 asG2193 it is dayG2250; nightG3571 is comingG2064, whenG3753 noG3762 oneG3762 canG1410 workG2038.
WhileG3752 I amG1510 in the worldG2889, I amG1510 6the LightG5457 of the worldG2889.”
When He had saidG3004 thisG3778, He 7spitG4429 on the groundG5476, and madeG4160 mudG4081 from the salivaG4427, and appliedG2007 the mudG4081 to his eyesG3788,
and saidG3004 to him, “GoG5217, washG3538 in 8the poolG2861 of SiloamG4611” (whichG3739 is translatedG2059, SentG649). SoG3767 he leftG565 and 9washedG3538, and 10cameG2064 back seeingG991.
SoG3767 the neighborsG1069, and thoseG3588 who previouslyG4387 sawG2334 11him as a beggarG4319, were sayingG3004, “Is thisG3778 not the one who used to 12sitG2521 and begG4319?”
OthersG243 were sayingG3004, “ThisG3778 is he,” still othersG243 were sayingG3004, “NoG3780, but he is likeG3664 him.” 13The man himself kept sayingG3004, “I amG1510 the one.”
