1 John 5:14-21
14ThisG3778 is 1the confidenceG3954 whichG3739 we haveG2192 2beforeG4314 Him, that, 3ifG1437 we askG154 anythingG5100 accordingG2596 to His willG2307, He hearsG191 us. 15And ifG1437 we knowG3609 that He hearsG191 us in whateverG3739G1437 we askG154, 4we knowG3609 that we haveG2192 the requestsG155 whichG3739 we have askedG154 from Him.
16IfG1437 anyoneG5100 seesG3708 his brotherG80 or sister 5committingG264 a sinG266 not leading to deathG2288, 6he shall askG154 and 7God will, for him, giveG1325 lifeG2222 to thoseG3588 who commitG264 sinG264 not leading to deathG2288. 8There is sinG266 leading to deathG2288; 9I am not sayingG3004 that he should askG2065 about thatG1565. 1710AllG3956 unrighteousnessG93 is sinG266, and 11there is sinG266 not leading to deathG2288.
1812We knowG3609 that 13noG3956G3756 oneG3956 who has been bornG1080 of GodG2316 14sinsG264; but He who was bornG1080 of GodG2316 15keepsG5083 him, and 16the evilG4190 oneG4190 does not 17touchG681 him. 1918We knowG3609 that 19we are of GodG2316, and that 20the wholeG3650 worldG2889 liesG2749 in the power of the evilG4190 oneG4190. 20And 21we knowG3609 that 22the SonG5207 of GodG2316 hasG2240 comeG2240, and has 23givenG1325 us understandingG1271 soG2443 thatG2443 we may knowG1097 24Him whoG3588 is trueG228; and we 25are in Him whoG3588 is trueG228, in His SonG5207 JesusG2424 ChristG5547. 26ThisG3778 is the trueG228 GodG2316 and 27eternalG166 lifeG2222.
