2“Commandצַ֚וtzavH6680the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478that theysendוִֽישַׁלְּחוּ֙vi.sha.le.ChuH7971awayH7971from the campהַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔הha.ma.cha.NehH4264everyoneכָּל־kol-H3605withH6879leprosyH6879,everyoneוְכָל־ve.kholH3605having adischargeזָ֑בZavH2100,and everyoneוְכֹ֖לve.KholH3605who isuncleanטָמֵ֥אta.Me'H2931because of contact with a deadpersonלָנָֽפֶשׁ׃la.Na.feshH5315.

3You shall sendתְּשַׁלֵּ֔חוּte.sha.Le.chuH7971awayתְּשַׁלְּח֑וּםte.sha.le.ChumH7971bothH4480maleמִזָּכָ֤רmi.za.KharH2145and femaleנְקֵבָה֙ne.ke.VahH5347;you shall sendH7971them outsideאֶל־ מִח֥וּץ'el- mi.ChutzH413 H4480 H2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖הla.ma.cha.NehH4264so that they do not defileיְטַמְּאוּ֙ye.ta.me.'UH2930their campמַ֣חֲנֵיהֶ֔םma.cha.nei.HemH4264whereאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I dwellשֹׁכֵ֥ןsho.KhenH7931in their midstבְּתוֹכָֽם׃be.to.KhamH8432.”

4And the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478didוַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־vai.ya.'a.su-H6213soH3651and sentוַיְשַׁלְּח֣וּvay.sha.le.ChuH7971them outsideמִח֖וּץmi.ChutzH413 H4480 H2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑הla.ma.cha.NehH4264;justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068had spokenדִּבֶּ֤רdi.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872,thatH3651isH3651whatH3651the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פYis.ra.'ElH3478didעָשׂ֖וּ'a.SuH6213.

6“Speakדַּבֵּר֮da.BerH1696to the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֒Yis.ra.'ElH3478: ‘Whenכִּ֤יkiH3588a manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376orאֽוֹ־'ov-H176womanאִשָּׁ֗ה'i.ShahH802commitsיַעֲשׂוּ֙ya.'a.SuH6213anyמִכָּל־mi.kolH4480 H3605of the sinsחַטֹּ֣אתcha.TotH2403of mankindהָֽאָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120,actingH4603unfaithfullyלִמְעֹ֥ל מַ֖עַלlim.'Ol Ma.'alH4603 H4604against the Lordבַּיהוָ֑הba.Yah.wehH3068,and that personהַנֶּ֥פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315is guiltyוְאָֽשְׁמָ֖הve.'a.she.MahH816,

7then he shallconfessוְהִתְוַדּ֗וּve.hit.va.DuH3034his sinחַטָּאתָם֮cha.ta.TamH2403whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834he has committedעָשׂוּ֒'a.SuH6213, and heshall makeH7725restitutionH7725inH7218fullH7218for his wrongאֲשָׁמוֹ֙'a.sha.MoH817and addיֹסֵ֣ףyo.SefH3254to it a fifthוַחֲמִישִׁת֖וֹva.cha.mi.shi.ToH2549of it, and giveוְנָתַ֕ןve.na.TanH5414itto him whomלַאֲשֶׁ֖רla.'a.SherH834he has wrongedאָשַׁ֥ם'a.ShamH816.

8But ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518the personלָאִ֜ישׁla.'IshH376hasH369noH369redeemerגֹּאֵ֗לgo.'ElH1350to whom restitutionH7725may be madeH7725for the wrongהָאָשָׁם֙ha.'a.ShamH817,the restitutionH7725which is madeH7725for the wrongהָאָשָׁ֛םha.'a.ShamH817must goto the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068for the priestלַכֹּהֵ֑ןla.ko.HenH3548,besidesמִלְּבַ֗דmi.le.VadH4480 H905the ramאֵ֚יל'eilH352of atonementהַכִּפֻּרִ֔יםha.ki.pu.RimH3725,by whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834atonementיְכַפֶּר־ye.kha.per-H3722is madeH3722for him.

9Also everyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605contributionתְּרוּמָ֞הte.ru.MahH8641pertaining to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the holyקָדְשֵׁ֧יka.de.SheiH6944giftsof the sonsבְנֵי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478,whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834they offerיַקְרִ֥יבוּyak.Ri.vuH7126to the priestלַכֹּהֵ֖ןla.ko.HenH3548, shall be his.

10So everyH376person’sH376holyקֳדָשָׁ֖יוko.da.ShavH6944giftsshall be his; whateverאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834anyoneH376givesיִתֵּ֥ןyi.TenH5414to the priestלַכֹּהֵ֖ןla.ko.HenH3548, itbecomesH1961his.’”

12“Speakדַּבֵּר֙da.BerH1696to the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478and sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֖ve.'a.mar.TaH559to them, ‘Ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588anyאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376man’sאִישׁ֙'ishH376wifeאִשְׁתּ֔וֹ'ish.ToH802goesH7847astrayH7847and is unfaithfulמָֽעַל׃Ma.'alH4604to him,

13and a manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376hasH7901sexualH2233 H7901relationsשִׁכְבַת־shikh.vat-H2233 H7902with her and it is hiddenוְנֶעְלַם֙ve.ne'.LamH5956from the eyesמֵעֵינֵ֣יme.'ei.NeiH5869of her husbandאִישָׁ֔הּ'i.ShahH376and she remainsH5641undiscoveredH5641,although she has defiledנִטְמָ֑אָהnit.Ma.'ahH2930herselfH1931,and thereH369isH369noH369witnessוְעֵד֙ve.'EdH5707against her and she has not been caughtנִתְפָּֽשָׂה׃nit.Pa.sahH8610in the act,

14ifan attitudeרֽוּחַ־Ru.ach-H7307ofjealousyקִנְאָ֛הkin.'AhH7068comesוְעָבַ֨רve.'a.VarH5674overעָלָ֧יו'a.LavH5921him and he isH7065jealousוְקִנֵּ֥אve.ki.Ne'H7065of his wifeאִשְׁתּ֖וֹ'ish.ToH802when she has defiledנִטְמָ֑אָהnit.Ma.'ahH2930herself, orאוֹ־'ov-H176ifan attitudeרֽוּחַ־Ru.ach-H7307of jealousyקִנְאָה֙kin.'AhH7068comesעָבַ֨ר'a.VarH5674overעָלָ֤יו'a.LavH5921him and he isH7065jealousוְקִנֵּ֣אve.ki.Ne'H7065of his wifeאִשְׁתּ֔וֹ'ish.ToH802when she has not defiledנִטְמָֽאָה׃nit.Ma.'ahH2930herself,

15the manהָאִ֣ישׁha.'IshH376shall then bringוְהֵבִ֨יאve.he.Vi'H935his wifeאִשְׁתּוֹ֮'ish.ToH802to the priestהַכֹּהֵן֒ha.ko.HenH3548,and shall bringוְהֵבִ֤יאve.he.Vi'H935asan offeringקָרְבָּנָהּ֙ka.re.ba.NahH7133for her a tenthעֲשִׂירִ֥ת'a.si.RitH6224of anephahהָאֵיפָ֖הha.'ei.FahH374of barleyשְׂעֹרִ֑יםse.'o.RimH8184mealקֶ֣מַחKe.machH7058;he shall not pourיִצֹ֨קyi.TzokH3332oilשֶׁ֗מֶןShe.menH8081on it norH3808putיִתֵּ֤ןyi.TenH5414frankincenseלְבֹנָ֔הle.vo.NahH3828on it, becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588it is a grain offeringמִנְחַ֤תmin.ChatH4503of jealousyקְנָאֹת֙ke.na.'OtH7068,a grain offeringמִנְחַ֥תmin.ChatH4503of reminderזִכָּר֖וֹןzi.ka.RonH2146,a reminderמַזְכֶּ֥רֶתmaz.Ke.retH2142of wrongdoingעָוֹֽן׃'a.VonH5771.

16‘Then the priestהַכֹּהֵ֑ןha.ko.HenH3548shall bringוְהִקְרִ֥יבve.hik.RivH7126her forwardH7126and have her standוְהֶֽעֱמִדָ֖הּve.he.'e.mi.DahH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068,

17and the priestH3548shall takeוְלָקַ֧חve.la.KachH3947holyקְדֹשִׁ֖יםke.do.ShimH6918waterמַ֥יִםMa.yimH4325in an earthenwareחָ֑רֶשׂCha.resH2789containerבִּכְלִי־bikh.li-H3627; andhe shall takeיִקַּ֥חyi.KachH3947someוּמִן־u.min-H4480of the dustהֶֽעָפָ֗רhe.'a.FarH6083that is on the floorבְּקַרְקַ֣עbe.kar.Ka'H7172of the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ןha.mish.KanH4908and putוְנָתַ֥ןve.na.TanH5414itin the waterהַמָּֽיִם׃ha.Ma.yimH4325.

18The priestהַכֹּהֵ֥ןha.ko.HenH3548shall then have the womanהָאִשָּׁה֮ha.'i.ShahH802standוְהֶעֱמִ֨ידve.he.'e.MidH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָה֒Yah.wehH3068and letH6544downH6544the hair ofthe woman’sהָֽאִשָּׁ֔הha.'i.ShahH802headרֹ֣אשׁroshH7218,and placeוְנָתַ֣ןve.na.TanH5414the grain offeringמִנְחַ֣תmin.ChatH4503of reminderהַזִּכָּר֔וֹןha.zi.ka.RonH2146in her handsכַּפֶּ֗יהָka.Pei.haH3709,that is, the grain offeringמִנְחַ֥תmin.ChatH4503of jealousyקְנָאֹ֖תke.na.'OtH7068;and in the handוּבְיַ֤דu.ve.YadH3027of the priestהַכֹּהֵן֙ha.ko.HenH3548is to be the waterמֵ֥יmeiH4325of bitternessהַמָּרִ֖יםha.ma.RimH4751that bringsהַמְאָֽרֲרִֽים׃ham.'A.ra.RimH779aH779curseH779.

19And the priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548shall have her takeH7650anH7650oathH7650and shall sayוְאָמַ֤רve.'a.MarH559to the womanהָֽאִשָּׁה֙ha.'i.ShahH802, “Ifאִם־'im-H518noH3808manאִישׁ֙'ishH376has hadH7901sexualH7901relationsH7901with you and ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518you have notgoneH7847astrayH7847into uncleannessטֻמְאָ֖הtum.'AhH2932, as you areunderתַּ֣חַתTa.chatH8478the authority ofyour husbandאִישֵׁ֑ךְ'i.ShekhH376,beH5352immuneH5352to thisהָאֵֽלֶּה׃ha.'E.lehH428waterמִמֵּ֛יmi.MeiH4325of bitternessהַמָּרִ֥יםha.ma.RimH4751that bringsהַֽמְאָרֲרִ֖יםham.'a.ra.RimH779aH779curseH779;

20ifכִּ֥יkiH3588, however, you havegoneH7847astrayH7847, thoughunderתַּ֥חַתTa.chatH8478the authority ofyour husbandאִישֵׁ֖ךְ'i.ShekhH376,and ifוְכִ֣יve.KhiH3588you have defiledנִטְמֵ֑אתnit.MetH2930yourself and a manאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376otherH1107thanH1107your husbandאִישֵֽׁךְ׃'i.ShekhH376has hadH5414 H7903sexualH5414 H7903intercourseH5414 H7903with you”

21(then the priestהַכֹּהֵ֥ןha.ko.HenH3548shall have the womanהָֽאִשָּׁה֮ha.'i.ShahH802swearוְהִשְׁבִּ֨יעַve.hish.Bi.a'H7650with the oathבִּשְׁבֻעַ֣תbish.vu.'AtH7621of the curseהָאָלָה֒ha.'a.LahH423,and the priestהַכֹּהֵן֙ha.ko.HenH3548shall sayוְאָמַ֤רve.'a.MarH559to the womanלָֽאִשָּׁ֔הla.'i.ShahH802), “may the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068makeיִתֵּ֨ןyi.TenH5414you a curseלְאָלָ֥הle.'a.LahH423and an oathוְלִשְׁבֻעָ֖הve.lish.vu.'AhH7621amongבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432your peopleעַמֵּ֑ךְ'a.MekhH5971by the Lord’sיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068makingבְּתֵ֨תbe.TetH5414your thighיְרֵכֵךְ֙ye.re.kheKhH3409shriveledנֹפֶ֔לֶתno.Fe.letH5307and yourbellyבִּטְנֵ֖ךְbit.NekhH990swollenצָבָֽה׃tza.VahH6639;

22and thisהָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ha.'E.lehH428waterהַמַּ֨יִםha.Ma.yimH4325that bringsהַמְאָרְרִ֤יםham.'a.re.RimH779a curseH779shall goוּ֠בָאוּU.va.'uH935into yourstomachבְּֽמֵעַ֔יִךְbe.me.'A.yikhH4578,to make your bellyבֶּ֖טֶןBe.tenH990swellלַצְבּ֥וֹתlatz.BotH6638upH6638and your thighיָרֵ֑ךְya.RekhH3409shrivelוְלַנְפִּ֣לve.lan.PilH5307.”And the womanהָאִשָּׁ֖הha.'i.ShahH802shall sayוְאָמְרָ֥הve.'a.me.RahH559, “Amenאָמֵ֥ן׀'a.MenH543,Amenאָמֵֽן׃'a.MenH543.”

23‘The priestהַכֹּהֵ֖ןha.ko.HenH3548shall then writeוְ֠כָתַבVe.kha.tavH3789theseהָאֵ֛לֶּהha.'E.lehH428cursesהָאָלֹ֥תha.'a.LotH423on a scrollבַּסֵּ֑פֶרba.Se.ferH5612, and he shallwashH4229them offH4229into the waterמֵ֥יmeiH4325of bitternessהַמָּרִֽים׃ha.ma.RimH4751.

24Then he shall makeוְהִשְׁקָה֙ve.hish.KahH8248the womanהָ֣אִשָּׁ֔הha.'i.ShahH802drinkH8248the waterמֵ֥יmeiH4325of bitternessהַמָּרִ֖יםha.ma.RimH4751that bringsהַמְאָֽרֲרִ֑יםham.'a.ra.RimH779a curseהַֽמְאָרֲרִ֖יםham.'a.ra.RimH779,so that the waterהַמַּ֥יִםha.Ma.yimH4325which bringsH779a curseH779will goוּבָ֥אוּu.Va.'uH935into herand cause bitternessלְמָרִֽים׃le.ma.RimH4751.

25And the priestהַכֹּהֵן֙ha.ko.HenH3548shall takeוְלָקַ֤חve.la.KachH3947the grain offeringמִנְחַ֣תmin.ChatH4503of jealousyהַקְּנָאֹ֑תha.ke.na.'OtH7068from the woman’sהָֽאִשָּׁ֔הha.'i.ShahH802handמִיַּ֣דmi.YadH3027,and he shall waveוְהֵנִ֤יףve.he.NifH5130the grain offeringהַמִּנְחָה֙ha.min.ChahH4503beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068and bringוְהִקְרִ֥יבve.hik.RivH7126it to the altarהַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ha.miz.Be.achH4196;

26andthe priestהַכֹּהֵ֤ןha.ko.HenH3548shall takeוְקָמַ֨ץve.ka.MatzH7061aH7061handfulH7061of the grain offeringהַמִּנְחָה֙ha.min.ChahH4503as its reminderH234offeringאַזְכָּ֣רָתָ֔הּ'az.Ka.ra.TahH234and offerH6999itupH6999inH6999smokeוְהִקְטִ֖ירve.hik.TirH6999on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָהha.miz.Be.chahH4196,and afterwardוְאַחַ֛רve.'a.CharH310he shall makeיַשְׁקֶ֥הyash.KehH8248the womanהָאִשָּׁ֖הha.'i.ShahH802drinkH8248the waterהַמָּֽיִם׃ha.Ma.yimH4325.

27When he has madeוְהִשְׁקָ֣הּve.hish.KahH8248her drinkH8248the waterהַמַּ֗יִםha.Ma.yimH4325,then it will comeH1961aboutH1961,ifאִֽם־'im-H518she has defiledנִטְמְאָה֮nit.me.'AhH2930herself and has beenH4603unfaithfulמַ֣עַלMa.'alH4603 H4604to her husbandבְּאִישָׁהּ֒be.'i.ShahH376,that the waterהַמַּ֤יִםha.Ma.yimH4325which bringsהַמְאָֽרֲרִים֙ham.'a.ra.RimH779a curseH779will goוּבָ֨אוּu.Va.'uH935into herand cause bitternessלְמָרִ֔יםle.ma.RimH4751,and her bellyבִטְנָ֔הּvit.NahH990will swellוְצָבְתָ֣הve.tza.ve.TahH6638upH6638and her thighיְרֵכָ֑הּye.re.KhahH3409willshrivelוְנָפְלָ֖הve.na.fe.LahH5307,and the womanהָאִשָּׁ֛הha.'i.ShahH802will becomeH1961a curseלְאָלָ֖הle.'a.LahH423amongבְּקֶ֥רֶבbe.Ke.revH7130her peopleעַמָּֽהּ׃'a.MahH5971.

28But ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518the womanהָֽאִשָּׁ֔הha.'i.ShahH802has not defiledנִטְמְאָה֙nit.me.'AhH2930herself and is cleanוּטְהֹרָ֖הu.te.ho.RahH2889,she will beH5352immuneH5352and conceiveוְנִזְרְעָ֥הve.niz.re.'AhH2232childrenזָֽרַע׃Za.ra'H2233.

29‘ThisH2088is the lawתּוֹרַ֖תto.RatH8451of jealousyהַקְּנָאֹ֑תha.ke.na.'OtH7068:whenאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834a wifeאִשָּׁ֛ה'i.ShahH802, who isunderתַּ֥חַתTa.chatH8478the authority ofher husbandאִישָׁ֖הּ'i.ShahH376,goesH7847astrayH7847and defilesוְנִטְמָֽאָה׃ve.nit.Ma.'ahH2930herself,

30orא֣וֹ'oH176whenאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834an attitudeר֥וּחַRu.achH7307of jealousyקִנְאָ֖הkin.'AhH7068comesתַּעֲבֹ֥רta.'a.VorH5674overעָלָ֛יו'a.LavH5921a manאִ֗ישׁ'IshH376and he isH7065jealousוְקִנֵּ֣אve.ki.Ne'H7065of his wifeאִשְׁתּ֑וֹ'ish.ToH802,he shall then have the womanהָֽאִשָּׁה֙ha.'i.ShahH802standוְהֶעֱמִ֤ידve.he.'e.MidH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and the priestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548shall applyוְעָ֤שָׂהve.'A.sahH6213allכָּל־kol-H3605of thisH2088lawהַתּוֹרָ֖הha.to.RahH8451to her.

31The manהָאִ֖ישׁha.'IshH376,moreover, will beH5352freeוְנִקָּ֥הve.ni.KahH5352ofguiltמֵעָוֹ֑ןme.'a.VonH5771,but that womanוְהָאִשָּׁ֣הve.ha.'i.ShahH802shallbearתִּשָּׂ֖אti.Sa'H5375the consequences of herguiltעֲוֹנָֽהּ׃ פ'a.vo.NahH5771.’”
