1So the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Aaronאַהֲרֹ֔ן'a.ha.RonH175, “You, your sonsוּבָנֶ֤יךָu.va.Nei.khaH1121,and your father’sאָבִ֙יךָ֙'a.Vi.khaH1householdוּבֵית־u.veit-H1004with you shallbearתִּשְׂא֖וּtis.'UH5375the guiltעֲוֹ֣ן'a.VonH5771in connection with the sanctuaryהַמִּקְדָּ֑שׁha.mik.DashH4720,and you and your sonsוּבָנֶ֣יךָu.va.Nei.khaH1121with you shall bearתִּשְׂא֖וּtis.'UH5375the guiltעֲוֹ֥ן'a.VonH5771in connection with your priesthoodכְּהֻנַּתְכֶֽם׃ke.hu.nat.KhemH3550.

2But alsoוְגַ֣םve.GamH1571bringהַקְרֵ֣בhak.RevH7126your brothersאַחֶיךָ֩'a.chei.KhaH251with you, the tribeמַטֵּ֨הma.TehH4294of Leviלֵוִ֜יle.ViH3878,the tribeשֵׁ֤בֶטShe.vetH7626of your fatherאָבִ֙יךָ֙'a.Vi.khaH1, so that they mayjoinוְיִלָּו֥וּve.yi.la.VuH3867you and serveוִֽישָׁרְת֑וּךָvi.sha.re.Tu.khaH8334you, while you and your sonsוּבָנֶ֣יךָu.va.Nei.khaH1121with you are beforeלִפְנֵ֖יlif.NeiH6440the tentאֹ֥הֶל'O.helH168of the testimonyהָעֵדֻֽת׃ha.'e.DutH5715.

3And they shall performוְשָֽׁמְרוּ֙ve.sha.me.RuH8104dutiesמִֽשְׁמַרְתְּךָ֔mish.mar.te.KhaH4931for you and the dutiesוּמִשְׁמֶ֖רֶתu.mish.Me.retH4931of the wholeכָּל־kol-H3605tentהָאֹ֑הֶלha.'O.helH168, butthey shall not comeH7126nearH7126the furnishingsכְּלֵ֨יke.LeiH3627of the sanctuaryהַקֹּ֤דֶשׁha.Ko.deshH6944andthe altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ha.miz.Be.achH4196,orH3808bothH1571they and you will dieיָמֻ֥תוּya.Mu.tuH4191.

4They shall joinוְנִלְו֣וּve.nil.VuH3867you and performוְשָֽׁמְר֗וּve.sha.me.RuH8104the dutiesמִשְׁמֶ֙רֶת֙mish.Me.retH4931of the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֔דmo.'EdH4150,for allלְכֹ֖לle.KholH3605the serviceעֲבֹדַ֣ת'a.vo.DatH5656of the tentהָאֹ֑הֶלha.'O.helH168; butan unauthorizedH2114personH2114shall not comeH7126nearH7126you.

5So you shall performוּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֗םu.she.mar.TemH8104thedutiesמִשְׁמֶ֣רֶתmish.Me.retH4931of the sanctuaryהַקֹּ֔דֶשׁha.Ko.deshH6944and the dutiesמִשְׁמֶ֣רֶתmish.Me.retH4931of the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַha.miz.Be.achH4196,so that there will noוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808longerע֛וֹדodH5750be wrathקֶ֖צֶףKe.tzefH7110on the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

6Beholdהִנֵּ֤הhi.NehH2009,I Myselfוַאֲנִ֗יva.'a.NiH589have takenלָקַ֙חְתִּי֙la.Kach.tiH3947yourfellowאֲחֵיכֶ֣ם'a.chei.KhemH251Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881from amongמִתּ֖וֹךְmi.TokhH8432the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478; they area giftמַתָּנָ֤הma.ta.NahH4979to you,dedicatedנְתֻנִים֙ne.tu.NimH5414to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068,to performלַעֲבֹ֕דla.'a.VodH5647the serviceעֲבֹדַ֖ת'a.vo.DatH5656for the tentאֹ֥הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵֽד׃mo.'EdH4150.

7But you and your sonsוּבָנֶ֣יךָu.va.Nei.khaH1121with you shallattendתִּשְׁמְר֨וּtish.me.RuH8104to your priesthoodכְּהֻנַּתְכֶ֜םke.hu.nat.KhemH3550for everythingלְכָל־le.kholH3605that concernsדְּבַ֧רde.VarH1697the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֛חַha.miz.Be.achH4196and insideוּלְמִבֵּ֥יתu.le.mi.BeitH4480 H1004the veilלַפָּרֹ֖כֶתla.pa.Ro.khetH6532,and you are to performוַעֲבַדְתֶּ֑םva.'a.vad.TemH5647serviceעֲבֹדַ֣ת'a.vo.DatH5656.I am givingאֶתֵּן֙'e.TenH5414you the priesthoodכְּהֻנַּתְכֶ֔םke.hu.nat.KhemH3550as aserviceH5656that is a giftמַתָּנָ֗הma.ta.NahH4979, and theunauthorizedH2114personH2114who comesH7131nearH7131shall be putיוּמָֽת׃ סyu.MatH4191toH4191deathH4191.”

8Then the Lordיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֣רvay.da.BerH1696to Aaronאַהֲרֹן֒'a.ha.RonH175, “Now beholdהִנֵּ֣הhi.NehH2009,I Myselfוַאֲנִי֙va.'a.NiH589have putנָתַ֣תִּֽיna.Ta.tiH5414you in chargeמִשְׁמֶ֖רֶתmish.Me.retH4931of Myofferingsתְּרוּמֹתָ֑יte.ru.mo.TaiH8641,allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the holyקָדְשֵׁ֣יka.de.SheiH6944gifts of the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִ֠שְׂרָאֵלYis.ra.'elH3478I have givenנְתַתִּ֧יםne.ta.TimH5414to you as a portionלְמָשְׁחָ֛הle.ma.she.ChahH4888and to your sonsוּלְבָנֶ֖יךָu.le.va.Nei.khaH1121as a permanentעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769allotmentלְחָק־le.chok-H2706.

9Thisזֶֽה־zeh-H2088shall be yours from the mostמִקֹּ֥דֶשׁmi.Ko.deshH6944holyהַקֳּדָשִׁ֖יםha.ko.da.ShimH6944gifts reservedfrom the fireהָאֵ֑שׁha.'EshH784;everyכָּל־kol-H3605offeringקָ֠רְבָּנָםKa.re.ba.nomH7133of theirs, namelyeveryלְֽכָל־le.kholH3605grain offeringמִנְחָתָ֞םmin.cha.TamH4503,everyוּלְכָל־u.le.khol-H3605sinחַטָּאתָ֗םcha.ta.TamH2403offeringH2403,and everyוּלְכָל־u.le.khol-H3605guiltאֲשָׁמָם֙'a.sha.MamH817offeringH817,with whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834they shall makeH7725restitutionH7725to Me, shall bemostקֹ֣דֶשׁKo.deshH6944holyקָֽדָשִׁ֥יםka.da.ShimH6944for you and for your sonsוּלְבָנֶֽיךָ׃u.le.va.Nei.khaH1121.

10As the mostבְּקֹ֥דֶשׁbe.Ko.deshH6944holyהַקֳּדָשִׁ֖יםha.ko.da.ShimH6944giftsyou shall eatתֹּאכֲלֶ֑נּוּto.kha.Le.nuH398it; everyכָּל־kol-H3605maleזָכָר֙za.KharH2145shall eatיֹאכַ֣לyo.KhalH398it. It shall be holyקֹ֖דֶשׁKo.deshH6944to you.

11Thisוְזֶה־ve.zeh-H2088also is yours,the offeringתְּרוּמַ֣תte.ru.MatH8641of their giftמַתָּנָ֗םma.ta.NamH4976,that is, allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the waveH8573offeringsH8573of the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֒Yis.ra.'ElH3478; I havegivenנְתַתִּ֗יםne.ta.TimH5414them to you and to your sonsוּלְבָנֶ֧יךָu.le.va.Nei.khaH1121and daughtersוְלִבְנֹתֶ֛יךָve.liv.no.Tei.khaH1323with you as a permanentעוֹלָ֑םo.LamH5769allotmentלְחָק־le.chok-H2706.Everyoneכָּל־kol-H3605of your householdבְּבֵיתְךָ֖be.vei.te.KhaH1004who is cleanטָה֥וֹרta.HorH2889may eatיֹאכַ֥לyo.KhalH398it.

12Allכֹּ֚לkolH3605thebestחֵ֣לֶבChe.levH2459of the freshיִצְהָ֔רyitz.HarH3323oilH3323and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605thebestחֵ֖לֶבChe.levH2459of the freshH8492wineתִּיר֣וֹשׁti.Ro.oshH8492and of the grainוְדָגָ֑ןve.da.GanH1715,the firstרֵאשִׁיתָ֛םre.shi.TamH7225fruitsH7225of whatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834they giveיִתְּנ֥וּyi.te.NuH5414to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068,I have givenנְתַתִּֽים׃ne.ta.TimH5414them to you.

13The firstH1061ripeH1061fruitsH1061of allכָּל־kol-H3605that is in their landבְּאַרְצָ֛םbe.'ar.TzamH776,whichH834they bringיָבִ֥יאוּya.Vi.'uH935to the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068,shall be yours; everyoneכָּל־kol-H3605of your householdבְּבֵיתְךָ֖be.vei.te.KhaH1004who is cleanטָה֥וֹרta.HorH2889may eatיֹאכֲלֶֽנּוּ׃yo.kha.Le.nuH398it.

14Everythingכָּל־kol-H3605bannedH2764fromH2764secularH2764useH2764in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478shall be yours.

15Everyכָּל־kol-H3605firstbornפֶּ֣טֶרPe.terH6363of the wombרֶ֠חֶםRe.chemH7358of allלְֽכָל־le.kholH3605fleshבָּשָׂ֞רba.SarH1320,whether humanבָּאָדָ֥םba.'a.DamH120or animalוּבַבְּהֵמָ֖הu.va.be.he.MahH929,whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834they offerיַקְרִ֧יבוּyak.Ri.vuH7126to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֛הla.Yah.wehH3068,shall be yours; howeverאַ֣ךְ׀'akhH389you mustפָּדֹ֣הpa.DohH6299redeemתִפְדֶּ֗הtif.DehH6299the humanהָֽאָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120firstbornבְּכ֣וֹרbe.KhorH1060,and the firstbornבְּכֽוֹר־be.khor-H1060of uncleanהַטְּמֵאָ֖הha.te.me.'AhH2931animalsהַבְּהֵמָ֥הha.be.he.MahH929you shall redeemתִּפְדֶּֽה׃tif.DehH6299.

19Allכֹּ֣ל׀kolH3605the offeringsתְּרוּמֹ֣תte.ru.MotH8641of the holyהַקֳּדָשִׁ֗יםha.ko.da.ShimH6944gifts,whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֮Yis.ra.'ElH3478offerיָרִ֥ימוּya.Ri.muH7311to the Lordלַֽיהוָה֒la.Yah.wehH3068,I have givenנָתַ֣תִּֽיna.Ta.tiH5414to you and your sonsוּלְבָנֶ֧יךָu.le.va.Nei.khaH1121and your daughtersוְלִבְנֹתֶ֛יךָve.liv.no.Tei.khaH1323with you, as a permanentעוֹלָ֑םo.LamH5769allotmentלְחָק־le.chok-H2706. 20Then the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Aaronאַהֲרֹ֗ן'a.ha.RonH175, “You shall have noלֹ֣אlo'H3808inheritanceתִנְחָ֔לtin.ChalH5157in their landבְּאַרְצָם֙be.'ar.TzamH776norלֹא־lo'-H3808ownיִהְיֶ֥הyih.YehH1961any portionוְחֵ֕לֶקve.Che.lekH2506amongבְּתוֹכָ֑םbe.to.KhamH8432them;I am your portionחֶלְקְךָ֙chel.ke.ChaH2506and your inheritanceוְנַחֲלָ֣תְךָ֔ve.na.cha.La.te.khaH5159amongבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סYis.ra.'ElH3478.

22Andthe sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478shall not comeH7126nearH7126the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150againע֛וֹדodH5750,or they will bringלָשֵׂ֥אתla.SetH5375sinחֵ֖טְאchet'H2399on themselves and dieלָמֽוּת׃la.MutH4191.

23Only the Levitesהַלֵּוִ֜יha.le.ViH3881shall performוְעָבַ֨דve.'a.VadH5647the serviceעֲבֹדַת֙'a.vo.DatH5656of the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֔דmo.'EdH4150, and they shallbearיִשְׂא֣וּyis.'UH5375their ownguiltעֲוֹנָ֑ם'a.vo.NamH5771; it shall bea permanentעוֹלָם֙o.LamH5769statuteחֻקַּ֤תchu.KatH2708throughout your generationsלְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םle.do.Ro.tei.KhemH1755,and amongוּבְתוֹךְ֙u.ve.toKhH8432the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478they shall haveיִנְחֲל֖וּyin.cha.LuH5157noלֹ֥אlo'H3808inheritanceנַחֲלָֽה׃na.cha.LahH5159.

24For the titheמַעְשַׂ֣רma'.SarH4643of the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834they offerיָרִ֤ימוּya.Ri.muH7311as an offeringתְּרוּמָ֔הte.ru.MahH8641to the Lordלַֽיהוָה֙la.Yah.wehH3068,I have givenנָתַ֥תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414to the Levitesלַלְוִיִּ֖םlal.vi.YimH3881as an inheritanceלְנַחֲלָ֑הle.na.cha.LahH5159;thereforeעַל־ כֵּן֙'al- kenH5921 H3651I have saidאָמַ֣רְתִּי'a.Mar.tiH559concerning them, ‘They shall haveיִנְחֲל֖וּyin.cha.LuH5157noלֹ֥אlo'H3808inheritanceנַחֲלָֽה׃ פna.cha.LahH5159amongבְּתוֹךְ֙be.toKhH8432the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478.’”

25Then the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

26“Moreover, you shall speakתְּדַבֵּר֮te.da.BerH1696to the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֣םhal.vi.YimH3881and sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559to them, ‘Whenכִּֽי־ki-H3588you takeתִ֠קְחוּTik.chuH3947from the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478the titheהַֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֗רha.ma.'a.SerH4643whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834I have givenנָתַ֧תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414you from them for your inheritanceבְּנַחֲלַתְכֶ֑םbe.na.cha.lat.KhemH5159,then you shall presentוַהֲרֵמֹתֶ֤םva.ha.re.mo.TemH7311an offeringתְּרוּמַ֣תte.ru.MatH8641from it to the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, atitheמַעֲשֵׂ֖רma.'a.SerH4643of the titheהַֽמַּעֲשֵֽׂר׃Ha.ma.'a.SerH4643.

27Your offeringתְּרוּמַתְכֶ֑םte.ru.mat.KhemH8641shall be creditedוְנֶחְשַׁ֥בve.nech.ShavH2803to you like the grainכַּדָּגָן֙ka.da.GanH1715from the threshingהַגֹּ֔רֶןha.Go.renH1637floorH1637or the fullוְכַֽמְלֵאָ֖הve.kham.le.'AhH4395produceH4395from the wineH3342vatH3342.

28Soכֵּ֣ןkenH3651you shall alsoגַם־gam-H1571presentתָּרִ֤ימוּta.Ri.muH7311an offeringתְּרוּמַ֣תte.ru.MatH8641to the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068from allמִכֹּל֙mi.KolH3605your tithesמַעְשְׂרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םma'.se.Ro.tei.KhemH4643,whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you receiveתִּקְח֔וּtik.ChuH3947from the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and from it you shall giveוּנְתַתֶּ֤םu.ne.ta.TemH5414the Lord’sיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068offeringתְּרוּמַ֣תte.ru.MatH8641to Aaronלְאַהֲרֹ֖ןle.'a.ha.RonH175the priestהַכֹּהֵֽן׃ha.ko.HenH3548.

29Out of allמִכֹּל֙mi.KolH3605your giftsמַתְּנֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םma.te.No.tei.KhemH4979you shall presentתָּרִ֕ימוּta.Ri.muH7311everyכָּל־kol-H3605offeringתְּרוּמַ֣תte.ru.MatH8641due to the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,from allמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605thebestחֶלְבּ֔וֹchel.BoH2459of them,the sacredH4720partH4720from them.’

30And you shall sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֖ve.'a.mar.TaH559to them, ‘When you haveofferedבַּהֲרִֽימְכֶ֤םba.ha.rim.KhemH7311from it the bestחֶלְבּוֹ֙chel.BoH2459of it, then the restshall be creditedוְנֶחְשַׁב֙ve.nech.ShavH2803to the Levitesלַלְוִיִּ֔םlal.vi.YimH3881like the productכִּתְבוּאַ֥תkit.vu.'AtH8393of the threshingגֹּ֖רֶןGo.renH1637floorH1637,and like the productוְכִתְבוּאַ֥תve.khit.vu.'AtH8393of the wineH3342vatH3342.
