8And whenוְכִֽי־ve.khi-H3588you prepareתַעֲשֶׂ֥הta.'a.SehH6213a bullבֶן־ בָּקָ֖רven- ba.KarH1121 H1241as a burntעֹלָ֣ה'o.LahH5930offeringH5930orאוֹ־'ov-H176a sacrificeזָ֑בַחZa.vachH2077, tofulfillלְפַלֵּא־le.fa.le'-H6381aH6381specialH6381vowנֶ֥דֶרNe.derH5088,orאֽוֹ־'ov-H176for peaceשְׁלָמִ֖יםshe.la.MimH8002offeringsH8002to the Lordלַֽיהוָֽה׃la.Yah.wehH3068,

Law for the Stranger

14Now ifוְכִֽי־ve.khi-H3588a strangerגֵּ֜רgerH1616residesיָגוּר֩ya.GurH1481amongH8432you, orא֤וֹ'oH176one whoH834may beamongH8432you throughout your generationsלְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םle.do.Ro.tei.KhemH1755, and he wants tomakeוְעָשָׂ֛הve.'a.SahH6213an offeringאִשֵּׁ֥ה'i.ShehH801byH801fireH801,as a soothingנִיחֹ֖חַni.Cho.achH5207aromaרֵֽיחַ־rei.ach-H7381to the Lordלַיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068,justH3512asH3512you doתַּעֲשׂ֖וּta.'a.SuH6213soכֵּ֥ןkenH3651shall he doיַעֲשֶֽׂה׃ya.'a.SehH6213.

15As forthe assemblyהַקָּהָ֕לha.ka.HalH6951, there shall beoneאַחַ֛ת'a.ChatH259statuteחֻקָּ֥הchu.KahH2708for you and for the strangerוְלַגֵּ֣רve.la.GerH1616who residesהַגָּ֑רha.GarH1481among you,a permanentעוֹלָם֙o.LamH5769statuteחֻקַּ֤תchu.KatH2708throughout your generationsלְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םle.do.Ro.tei.KhemH1755;as you are, so shall the strangerכַּגֵּ֥רka.GerH1616be beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

16There is to beoneאַחַ֛ת'a.ChatH259lawתּוֹרָ֥הto.RahH8451and oneאֶחָ֖ד'e.ChadH259ordinanceוּמִשְׁפָּ֥טu.mish.PatH4941for you and for the strangerוְלַגֵּ֖רve.la.GerH1616who residesהַגָּ֥רha.GarH1481with you.’”

17Then the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

18“Speakדַּבֵּר֙da.BerH1696to the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478and sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֖ve.'a.mar.TaH559to them, ‘When you enterבְּבֹֽאֲכֶם֙be.vo.'a.KhemH935the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776whereאֲשֶׁ֥ר שָֽׁמָּה׃'a.Sher Sha.mahH834 H8033I am bringingמֵבִ֥יאme.Vi'H935you,

19then it shall be, that when you eatבַּאֲכָלְכֶ֖םba.'a.kha.le.KhemH398from thefoodמִלֶּ֣חֶםmi.Le.chemH3899of the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,you shall liftH7311upH7311anofferingתְרוּמָ֖הte.ru.MahH8641to the Lordלַיהוָֽה׃la.Yah.wehH3068.

20Of the firstרֵאשִׁית֙re.ShitH7225of yourdoughעֲרִסֹ֣תֵכֶ֔ם'a.ri.So.te.KhemH6182you shall liftH7311upH7311a loafחַלָּ֖הcha.LahH2471as anofferingתְרוּמָ֑הte.ru.MahH8641; as anofferingכִּתְרוּמַ֣תkit.ru.MatH8641of the threshingגֹּ֔רֶןGo.renH1637floorH1637,soכֵּ֖ןkenH3651you shall liftH7311it upH7311.

21From the firstמֵרֵאשִׁית֙me.re.ShitH7225of yourdoughעֲרִסֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם'a.ri.So.tei.KhemH6182you shall giveתִּתְּנ֥וּti.te.NuH5414to the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068anofferingתְּרוּמָ֑הte.ru.MahH8641throughout your generationsלְדֹרֹ֖תֵיכֶֽם׃ סle.do.Ro.tei.KhemH1755.

22‘But whenוְכִ֣יve.KhiH3588youunintentionallyH7686doH7686wrongH7686and failוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808tocomplyH6213withH6213allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428commandmentsהַמִּצְוֹ֖תha.mitz.VotH4687whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has spokenדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872,

23that is,allכָּל־kol-H3605that the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068has commandedH6680youthroughבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027Mosesמֹשֶׁ֑הmo.ShehH4872from the dayהַיּ֞וֹםhai.YomH3117that the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068gaveH6680commandmentsH6680and onwardוָהָ֖לְאָהva.Hal.'ahH1973,throughout your generationsלְדֹרֹתֵיכֶֽם׃le.do.ro.tei.KhemH1755,

24then it shall be, ifאִ֣ם'imH518it is doneנֶעֶשְׂתָ֣הne.'es.TahH6213unintentionallyלִשְׁגָגָה֒lish.ga.GahH7684,withoutH4480the knowledgeמֵעֵינֵ֣יme.'ei.NeiH5869of the congregationהָעֵדָה֮ha.'e.DahH5712,that allכָל־khol-H3605the congregationהָעֵדָ֡הha.'e.DahH5712shall offerוְעָשׂ֣וּve.'a.SuH6213oneאֶחָ֨ד'e.ChadH259bullפַּ֣ר בֶּן־ בָּקָר֩par ben- ba.KarH6499 H1121 H1241as a burntלְעֹלָ֜הle.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930,as a soothingנִיחֹ֙חַ֙ni.Cho.achH5207aromaלְרֵ֤יחַle.Rei.achH7381to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068,with its grain offeringוּמִנְחָת֥וֹu.min.cha.ToH4503and its drinkוְנִסְכּ֖וֹve.nis.KoH5262offeringH5262,according to the ordinanceכַּמִּשְׁפָּ֑טka.mish.PatH4941,and oneאֶחָ֖ד'e.ChadH259maleוּשְׂעִיר־u.se.'ir-H8163goatעִזִּ֥ים'i.ZimH5795as a sinלְחַטָּֽת׃le.cha.TatH2403offeringH2403.

25Thenthe priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548shall makeוְכִפֶּ֣רve.khi.PerH3722atonementH3722for allכָּל־kol-H3605the congregationעֲדַ֛ת'a.DatH5712of the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and they will be forgivenוְנִסְלַ֣חve.nis.LachH5545;for it was an unintentionalH7684wrongH7684,and they have broughtהֵבִ֨יאוּhe.Vi.'uH935their offeringקָרְבָּנָ֜םka.re.ba.NamH7133,an offeringאִשֶּׁ֣ה'i.ShehH801byH801fireH801to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֗הla.Yah.wehH3068,and their sinוְחַטָּאתָ֛םve.cha.ta.TamH2403offeringH2403beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,for their unintentionalH7684wrongH7684.

26So allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the congregationעֲדַת֙'a.DatH5712of the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478will be forgivenוְנִסְלַ֗חve.nis.LachH5545,as well as the strangerוְלַגֵּ֖רve.la.GerH1616who residesהַגָּ֣רha.GarH1481amongבְּתוֹכָ֑םbe.to.KhamH8432them, for guilt was attributedto allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971through anunintentionalH7684wrongH7684.

27‘Also, ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518oneאַחַ֖ת'a.ChatH259personנֶ֥פֶשׁNe.feshH5315sinsתֶּחֱטָ֣אte.che.Ta'H2398unintentionallyבִשְׁגָגָ֑הvish.ga.GahH7684,then he shall offerוְהִקְרִ֛יבָהve.hik.Ri.vahH7126a one-year-oldבַּת־ שְׁנָתָ֖הּbat- she.na.TahH8141 H1323femaleעֵ֥ז'ezH5795goatH5795as a sinלְחַטָּֽאת׃le.cha.TatH2403offeringH2403.

28Andthe priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548shall makeוְכִפֶּ֣רve.khi.PerH3722atonementלְכַפֵּ֥רle.kha.PerH3722beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068for the personהַנֶּ֧פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315who goesH7683astrayהַשֹּׁגֶ֛גֶתha.sho.Ge.getH7683by an unintentionalבִשְׁגָגָ֖הvish.ga.GahH7684sinH2399,makingH3722atonementH3722for himso that he may be forgivenוְנִסְלַ֥חve.nis.LachH5545.

29You shall haveיִהְיֶ֣הyih.YehH1961oneאַחַת֙'a.ChatH259lawתּוֹרָ֤הto.RahH8451for the nativeהָֽאֶזְרָח֙ha.'ez.RachH249among the sonsבִּבְנֵ֣יbiv.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478and for the strangerוְלַגֵּ֖רve.la.GerH1616who residesהַגָּ֣רha.GarH1481amongבְּתוֹכָ֑םbe.to.KhamH8432them, for one who doesלָעֹשֶׂ֖הla.'o.SehH6213anything wrongunintentionallyבִּשְׁגָגָֽה׃bish.ga.GahH7684.

30But the personוְהַנֶּ֜פֶשׁve.ha.Ne.feshH5315whoאֲשֶֽׁר־'a.Sher-H834doesתַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה׀ta.'a.SehH6213wrongdefiantlyבְּיָ֣ד רָמָ֗הbe.Yad ra.MahH7311 H3027,whetherH4480he is a nativeהָֽאֶזְרָח֙ha.'ez.RachH249or a strangerהַגֵּ֔רha.GerH1616,that oneH1931is blasphemingמְגַדֵּ֑ףme.ga.DefH1442the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068;and that personהַנֶּ֥פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315shall be cutוְנִכְרְתָ֛הve.nikh.re.TahH3772offH3772from amongמִקֶּ֥רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130his peopleעַמָּֽהּ׃'a.MahH5971.

31Sinceכִּ֤יkiH3588he hasdespisedבָּזָ֔הba.ZahH959the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068and has brokenהֵפַ֑רhe.FarH6565His commandmentמִצְוָת֖וֹmitz.va.ToH4687,that personהַנֶּ֥פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315shall be completelyH3772cutH3772offH3772; hisguiltעֲוֹנָ֥ה'a.vo.NahH5771will be on him.’”

Sabbath-breaking Punished

32Now while the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478were in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּ֑רba.mid.BarH4057,they foundוַֽיִּמְצְא֗וּvai.yim.tze.'UH4672a manאִ֛ישׁ'ishH376gatheringמְקֹשֵׁ֥שׁme.ko.SheshH7197woodעֵצִ֖ים'e.TzimH6086on the Sabbathהַשַּׁבָּֽת׃ha.sha.BatH7676dayבְּי֥וֹםbe.YomH3117.

33And those who foundהַמֹּצְאִ֥יםha.mo.tze.'ImH4672him gatheringמְקֹשֵׁ֣שׁme.ko.SheshH7197woodעֵצִ֑ים'e.TzimH6086broughtוַיַּקְרִ֣יבוּvai.yak.Ri.vuH7126him to Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872and Aaronאַהֲרֹ֔ן'a.ha.RonH175,and to allכָּל־kol-H3605the congregationהָעֵדָֽה׃ha.'e.DahH5712;

34and they placedוַיַּנִּ֥יחוּvai.ya.Ni.chuH5117him in custodyבַּמִּשְׁמָ֑רba.mish.MarH4929,becauseכִּ֚יkiH3588it had not been decidedפֹרַ֔שׁfo.RashH6567whatמַה־mah-H4100should be doneיֵּעָשֶׂ֖הye.'a.SehH6213to him.

35Then the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872, “The manהָאִ֑ישׁha.'IshH376mustH4191be putH4191toH4191deathH4191;allכָּל־kol-H3605the congregationהָ֣עֵדָ֔הha.'e.DahH5712shall stoneרָג֨וֹםra.GomH7275him with stonesבָֽאֲבָנִים֙va.'a.va.NimH68outsideמִח֖וּץmi.ChutzH4480 H2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃La.ma.cha.NehH4264.”

36So allכָּל־kol-H3605the congregationהָעֵדָ֗הha.'e.DahH5712broughtוַיֹּצִ֨יאוּvai.yo.Tzi.'uH3318him outsideאֶל־ מִחוּץ֙'el- mi.ChutzH413 H4480 H2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔הla.ma.cha.NehH4264and stonedוַיִּרְגְּמ֥וּvai.yir.ge.MuH7275himto deathוַיָּמֹ֑תvai.ya.MotH4191with stonesבָּאֲבָנִ֖יםba.'a.va.NimH68,justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃ פmo.ShehH4872.

37The Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068also spokeוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

38“Speakדַּבֵּ֞רda.BerH1696to the sonsבְּנֵ֤יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478and tellוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559them that they shall makeוְעָשׂ֨וּve.'a.SuH6213for themselvestasselsצִיצִ֛תtzi.TzitH6734on the cornersכַּנְפֵ֥יkan.FeiH3671of their garmentsבִגְדֵיהֶ֖םvig.dei.HemH899throughout their generationsלְדֹרֹתָ֑םle.do.ro.TamH1755,and that they shall putוְנָֽתְנ֛וּve.Na.te.NuH5414on the tasselצִיצִ֥תtzi.TzitH6734of each cornerהַכָּנָ֖ףha.ka.NafH3671avioletתְּכֵֽלֶת׃te.Khe.letH8504threadפְּתִ֥ילpe.TilH6616.
