16Beholdהֵ֣ןhenH2005,they causedH1961the sonsלִבְנֵ֤יliv.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478, through thecounselבִּדְבַ֣רbid.VarH1697ofBalaamבִּלְעָ֔םbil.'AmH1109,to be unfaithfulמַ֥עַלMa.'alH4604to the Lordבַּיהוָ֖הba.Yah.wehH3068in the matterדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of Peorפְּע֑וֹרpe.'orH6465,so that the plagueהַמַּגֵּפָ֖הha.ma.ge.FahH4046tookH1961placeH1961among the congregationבַּעֲדַ֥תba.'a.DatH5712of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068!

17Nowוְעַתָּ֕הve.'a.TahH6258therefore, killהִרְג֥וּhir.GuH2026everyכָל־khol-H3605maleזָכָ֖רza.KharH2145among the littleבַּטָּ֑ףba.TafH2945onesH2945,and killהֲרֹֽגוּ׃ha.Ro.guH2026everyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605womanאִשָּׁ֗ה'i.ShahH802who has knownיֹדַ֥עַתyo.Da.'atH3045a manאִ֛ישׁ'ishH376intimatelyלְמִשְׁכַּ֥ב זָכָ֖רle.mish.Kav za.KharH4904 H2145.

18However, allוְכֹל֙ve.KholH3605thegirlsהַטַּ֣ף בַּנָּשִׁ֔יםha.Taf ba.na.ShimH2945 H802whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834have not knownיָדְע֖וּya.de.'UH3045amanH2145intimatelyמִשְׁכַּ֣בmish.KavH4904 H2145,keepH2421aliveהַחֲי֖וּha.cha.YuH2421for yourselves.

20And you shall purifyתִּתְחַטָּֽאוּ׃ סtit.cha.Ta.'uH2398for yourselves everyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605garmentבֶּ֧גֶדBe.gedH899,everyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605articleכְּלִי־ke.li-H3627of leatherע֛וֹרorH5785,everyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605workמַעֲשֵׂ֥הma.'a.SehH4639of goats’עִזִּ֖ים'i.ZimH5795hair,and everyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605articleכְּלִי־ke.li-H3627of woodעֵ֑ץ'EtzH6086.”

21Then Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֤ר'el.'a.ZarH499the priestהַכֹּהֵן֙ha.ko.HenH3548saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the menH376of warהַצָּבָ֔אha.tza.Va'H6635who had goneהַבָּאִ֖יםha.ba.'ImH935to battleלַמִּלְחָמָ֑הla.mil.cha.MahH4421, “ThisH2088is the statuteחֻקַּ֣תchu.KatH2708of the Lawהַתּוֹרָ֔הha.to.RahH8451whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872:

22onlyאַ֥ךְ'akhH389the goldהַזָּהָ֖בha.za.HavH2091and the silverהַכָּ֑סֶףha.Ka.sefH3701,the bronzeהַנְּחֹ֙שֶׁת֙ha.ne.Cho.shetH5178,the ironהַבַּרְזֶ֔לha.bar.ZelH1270,the tinהַבְּדִ֖ילha.be.DilH913,and the leadהָעֹפָֽרֶת׃ha.'o.Fa.retH5777,

23everythingכָּל־kol-H3605that canwithstandיָבֹ֣אya.Vo'H935the fireבָאֵ֗שׁva.'EshH784,you shall passתַּעֲבִ֤ירוּta.'a.Vi.ruH5674through the fireבָאֵשׁ֙va.'EshH784,and it will beH2891cleanH2891,onlyאַ֕ךְ'akhH389it shall be purifiedיִתְחַטָּ֑אyit.cha.Ta'H2398withwaterבְּמֵ֥יbe.MeiH4325for impurityנִדָּ֖הni.DahH5079.But whateverוְכֹ֨לve.KholH3605 H834cannotלֹֽא־lo'-H3808withstandיָבֹ֛אya.Vo'H935the fireבָּאֵ֖שׁba.'EshH784you shall passתַּעֲבִ֥ירוּta.'a.Vi.ruH5674through the waterבַמָּֽיִם׃va.Ma.yimH4325.

24And you shall washוְכִבַּסְתֶּ֧םve.khi.bas.TemH3526your clothesבִּגְדֵיכֶ֛םbig.dei.KhemH899on the seventhהַשְּׁבִיעִ֖יha.she.vi.'IH7637dayבַּיּ֥וֹםbai.YomH3117and you will beH2891cleanH2891;and afterwardוְאַחַ֖רve.'a.CharH310you may enterתָּבֹ֥אוּta.Vo.'uH935the campהַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ פHa.ma.cha.NehH4264.”

25Then the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

26“You and Eleazarוְאֶלְעָזָ֣רve.'el.'a.ZarH499the priestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548and the headsרֹ֤אשׁroshH7218of the fathers’אֲב֥וֹת'a.VotH1householdsof the congregationהָעֵדָֽה׃ha.'e.DahH5712takeשָׂ֗אSa'H5375a countוְרָאשֵׁ֖יve.ra.SheiH7218of the spoilsמַלְק֙וֹחַ֙mal.Ko.achH4455that were capturedהַשְּׁבִ֔יha.she.ViH7628,both of peopleבָּאָדָ֖םba.'a.DamH120and of livestockוּבַבְּהֵמָ֑הu.va.be.he.MahH929;

28Also,collectוַהֲרֵמֹתָ֨va.ha.re.mo.TaH7311a tributeH4371taxמֶ֜כֶסMe.khesH4371for the Lordלַֽיהוָ֗הla.Yah.wehH3068from the menH376of warהַמִּלְחָמָה֙ha.mil.cha.MahH4421who wentהַיֹּצְאִ֣יםhai.yo.tze.'ImH3318to battleH4421,oneאֶחָ֣ד'e.ChadH259in fiveמֵחֲמֵ֖שׁme.cha.MeshH2568hundredהַמֵּא֑וֹתha.me.'otH3967of the personsהָאָדָם֙ha.'a.DamH120,of the cattleהַבָּקָ֔רha.ba.KarH1241,of the donkeysהַחֲמֹרִ֖יםha.cha.mo.RimH2543,and of the sheepהַצֹּֽאן׃ha.TzonH6629;

29takeתִּקָּ֑חוּti.Ka.chuH3947it from their halfמִמַּֽחֲצִיתָ֖םmi.ma.cha.tzi.TamH4276and giveוְנָתַתָּ֛הve.na.ta.TahH5414it to Eleazarלְאֶלְעָזָ֥רle.'el.'a.ZarH499the priestהַכֹּהֵ֖ןha.ko.HenH3548, as anofferingתְּרוּמַ֥תte.ru.MatH8641to the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

30And from the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israel’sיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478halfוּמִמַּחֲצִ֨תu.mi.ma.cha.TzitH4276,you shall takeתִּקַּ֣ח׀ti.KachH3947oneאֶחָ֣ד׀'e.ChadH259drawnאָחֻ֣ז'a.ChuzH270from every fiftyהַחֲמִשִּׁ֗יםha.cha.mi.ShimH2572of the personsהָאָדָ֧םha.'a.DamH120,of the cattleהַבָּקָ֛רha.ba.KarH1241,of the donkeysהַחֲמֹרִ֥יםha.cha.mo.RimH2543,and of the sheepהַצֹּ֖אןha.TzonH6629,from allמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605the animalsהַבְּהֵמָ֑הha.be.he.MahH929;and giveוְנָתַתָּ֤הve.na.ta.TahH5414them to the Levitesלַלְוִיִּ֔םlal.vi.YimH3881whoperformשֹׁמְרֵ֕יsho.me.ReiH8104the dutyמִשְׁמֶ֖רֶתmish.Me.retH4931of the tabernacleמִשְׁכַּ֥ןmish.KanH4908of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.”
