16whoὃςhosG3739has becomeγέγονενgegonenG1096a priestnot on the basisκατὰkataG2596of a lawνόμονnomonG3551ofphysicalσαρκίνηςsarkinēsG4560requirementἐντολῆςentolēsG1785,but accordingκατὰkataG2596to the powerδύναμινdunaminG1411ofan indestructibleἀκαταλύτου·akatalutouG179lifeζωῆςzōēsG2222.

17For it is attestedμαρτυρεῖταιmartureitaiG3140of Him, “You are a priestἱερεὺςhi'ereusG2409foreverαἰῶναaiōnaG165AccordingκατὰkataG2596to the orderτάξινtaxinG5010of MelchizedekΜελχισέδεκ.¶MelchisedekG3198.”

18For, on the oneG3303handG3303, there is thenullificationἈθέτησιςAthetēsisG115of a formerπροαγούσηςproagousēsG4254commandmentἐντολῆςentolēsG1785becauseδιὰdiaG1223of its weaknessἀσθενὲςasthenesG772and uselessnessἀνωφελές,anōphelesG512

19(forthe Lawνόμος,nomosG3551madeG5048nothingοὐδὲνoudenG3762perfectἐτελείωσενeteleiōsenG5048);on the otherG1161handG1161, there is theintroductionἐπεισαγωγὴepeisagōgēG1898of a betterG2909hopeἐλπίδοςelpidosG1680,throughδι᾽di᾽G1223whichἧςhēsG3739wecomeG1448nearG1448to Godθεῷ.theōG2316.
