Psalms 18:2-50
2The LordH3068 is 1my 2rockH5553 and 3my fortressH4686 and my 4delivererH6403, My GodH410, my rockH6697, in whom I takeH2620 refugeH2620; My 5shieldH4043 and the 6hornH7161 of my salvationH3468, my 7strongholdH4869.3I callH7121 upon the LordH3068, who is 8worthy to be praisedH1984, And I am 9savedH3467 from my enemiesH340.
4The 10cordsH2256 of deathH4194 encompassedH661 me, And the 11torrentsH5158 of 12ungodlinessH1100 13terrifiedH1204 me.5The 14cordsH2256 of 15SheolH7585 surroundedH5437 me; The snaresH4170 of deathH4194 confrontedH6923 me.6In my 16distressH6862 I calledH7121 upon the LordH3068, And criedH7768 to my GodH430 for helpH7768; He heardH8085 my voiceH6963 17out of His templeH1964, And my 18cryH7775 for helpH7775 beforeH6440 Him cameH935 into His earsH241.
7Then the 19earthH776 shookH1607 and quakedH7493; And the 20foundationsH4144 of the mountainsH2022 were tremblingH7264 And were shakenH1607, becauseH3588 He was angryH2734.8SmokeH6227 wentH5927 up 21out of His nostrilsH639, And 22fireH784 from His mouthH6310 devouredH398; CoalsH1513 were kindledH1197 by it.9He 23bowedH5186 the heavensH8064 also, and cameH3381 downH3381 With thickH6205 24darknessH6205 underH8478 His feetH7272.10He rodeH7392 upon a 25cherubH3742 and flewH5774; And He spedH1675 upon the 26wingsH3671 of the windH7307.11He madeH7896 27darknessH2822 His hidingH5643 placeH5643, 28His 29canopyH5521 aroundH5439 Him, DarknessH2825 of watersH4325, thickH5645 cloudsH5645 of the skiesH7834.12From the 30brightnessH5051 beforeH5048 Him passedH5674 His thickH5645 cloudsH5645, HailstonesH1259 and 31coalsH1513 of fireH784.13The LordH3068 also 32thunderedH7481 in the heavensH8064, And the MostH5945 HighH5945 utteredH5414 His voiceH6963, HailstonesH1259 and coalsH1513 of fireH784.14He 33sentH7971 out His arrowsH2671, and scatteredH6327 them, And lightningH1300 flashesH1300 in abundanceH7227, and 34routedH2000 them.15Then the 35channelsH650 of waterH4325 appearedH7200, And the foundationsH4144 of the worldH8398 were 36laidH1540 bareH1540 At Your 37rebukeH1606, O LordH3068, At the blastH5397 of the 38breathH7307 of Your nostrilsH639.
16He 39sentH7971 from on highH4791, He tookH3947 me; He drewH4871 me out of 40manyH7227 watersH4325.17He 41deliveredH5337 me from my strongH5794 enemyH340, And from those who hatedH8130 me, for they were 42tooH4480 mightyH553 for me.18They confrontedH6923 me in 43the dayH3117 of my calamityH343, But 44the LordH3068 was my stayH4937.19He broughtH3318 me forthH3318 also into a 45broadH4800 placeH4800; He rescuedH2502 me, becauseH3588 46He delightedH2654 in me.
20The LordH3068 has 47rewardedH1580 me according to my righteousnessH6664; According to the 48cleannessH1252 of my handsH3027 He has recompensedH7725 me.21For I have 49keptH8104 the waysH1870 of the LordH3068, And have 50not wickedlyH7561 departedH7561 from my GodH430.22For allH3605 51His ordinancesH4941 were beforeH5048 me, And I did not putH5493 awayH5493 His 52statutesH2708 from me.23I was also 5354blamelessH8549 with Him, And I 55keptH8104 myself from my iniquityH5771.24Therefore the LordH3068 has 56recompensedH7725 me according to my righteousnessH6664, According to the cleannessH1252 of my handsH3027 in His eyesH5869.
25With 57the kindH2623 You showH2616 Yourself kindH2616; With the 58blamelessH8549 59You showH8552 Yourself blamelessH8552;26With the pureH1305 You showH1305 Yourself 60pureH1305, And with the crookedH6141 61You showH6617 Yourself 62astuteH6617.27For You 63saveH3467 an afflictedH6041 peopleH5971, But 64haughtyH7311 eyesH5869 You abaseH8213.28For You 65lightH215 my lampH5216; The LordH3068 my GodH430 66illuminesH5050 my darknessH2822.29For by You I can 6768runH7323 upon a troopH1416; And by my GodH430 I can 69leapH1801 over a wallH7791.
30As for GodH410, His wayH1870 is 7071blamelessH8549; The 72wordH565 of the LordH3068 is triedH6884; He is a 73shieldH4043 to allH3605 who takeH2620 refugeH2620 in Him.31For 74whoH4310 is GodH433, but the LordH3068? And whoH4310 is a 75rockH6697, exceptH2108 our GodH430,32The GodH410 who 76girdsH247 me with strengthH2428 And 77makesH5414 my wayH1870 7879blamelessH8549?33He 80makesH7737 my feetH7272 like hinds’H355 feet, And 81setsH5975 me upon my highH1116 placesH1116.34He 82trainsH3925 my handsH3027 for battleH4421, So that my armsH2220 can 83bendH5181 a bowH7198 of bronzeH5154.35You have also givenH5414 me 84the shieldH4043 of Your salvationH3468, And Your 85rightH3225 handH3225 upholdsH5582 me; And 86Your 87gentlenessH6038 makesH7235 me greatH7235.36You 88enlargeH7337 my stepsH6806 underH8478 me, And my 8990feetH7166 have not slippedH4571.
37I 91pursuedH7291 my enemiesH340 and overtookH5381 them, And I did not turnH7725 backH7725 92untilH5704 they were consumedH3615.38I shatteredH4272 them, so that they were 93not ableH3201 to riseH6965; They fellH5307 94underH8478 my feetH7272.39For You have 95girdedH247 me with strengthH2428 for battleH4421; You have 9697subduedH3766 underH8478 me those who roseH6965 up against me.40You have also madeH5414 my enemiesH340 98turnH5414 their backsH6203 to me, And I 99100destroyedH6789 those who hatedH8130 me.41They criedH7768 for helpH7768, but thereH369 was 101noneH369 to saveH3467, Even to the LordH3068, but 102He did not answerH6030 them.42Then I beatH7833 them fineH7833 as the 103dustH6083 beforeH5921H6440 the windH7307; I emptiedH7385 them out as the mireH2916 of the streetsH2351.
43You have deliveredH6403 me from the 104contentionsH7379 of the peopleH5971; You have placedH7760 me as 105headH7218 of the nationsH1471; A 106peopleH5971 whom I have not knownH3045 serveH5647 me.44As soon as they hearH8088H241, they obeyH8085 me; ForeignersH1121H5236 107108submitH3584 to me.45ForeignersH1121H5236 109fadeH5034 awayH5034, And 110comeH2727 tremblingH2727 out of their 111fortressesH4526.
46The LordH3068 112livesH2416, and blessedH1288 be 113my rockH6697; And exaltedH7311 be 114the GodH430 of my salvationH3468,47The GodH410 who 115executesH5414 vengeanceH5360 for me, And 116subduesH1696 peoplesH5971 underH8478 me.48He 117deliversH6403 me from my enemiesH340; SurelyH637 You 118liftH7311 me aboveH4480 those who riseH6965 up against me; You rescueH5337 me from the 119violentH2555 manH376.49ThereforeH5921H3651 I will 120giveH3034 thanksH3034 to You among the nationsH1471, O LordH3068, And I will 121singH2167 praisesH2167 to Your nameH8034.50He gives greatH1431 122123deliveranceH3444 to His kingH4428, And showsH6213 lovingkindnessH2617 to 124His anointedH4899, To DavidH1732 and 125his 126descendantsH2233 foreverH5704H5769.
