2“The kingdomβασιλείαbasileiaG932of heavenοὐρανῶνouranōnG3772may be comparedὡμοιώθηhōmoiōthēG3666toa kingἀνθρώπῳ βασιλεῖanthrōpō basileiG444 G935whoὅστιςhostisG3748gaveἐποίησενepoiēsenG4160aweddingγάμουςgamousG1062feastG1062for his sonυἱῷhuiōG5207.

3And hesentἀπέστειλενapesteilenG649out his slavesδούλουςdoulousG1401to callκαλέσαιkalesaiG2564thoseG3588who had been invitedκεκλημένουςkeklēmenousG2564to the weddingγάμους,gamousG1062feastG1062,and they were unwillingοὐκ ἤθελονouk ēthelonG3756 G2309to comeἐλθεῖν.eltheinG2064.

4AgainπάλινpalinG3825hesentἀπέστειλενapesteilenG649out otherἄλλουςallousG243slavesδούλουςdoulousG1401sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, ‘TellG3004thoseG3588who have been invitedκεκλημένοις·keklēmenoisG2564, “BeholdἰδοὺidouG2400,I have preparedἡτοίμακα,hētoimakaG2090my dinnerἄριστόνaristonG712;my oxenταῦροίtauroiG5022and my fattenedG4619livestockG4619are allbutcheredτεθυμένα,tethumenaG2380and everythingπάνταpantaG3956is readyἕτοιμα·hetoimaG2092;comeδεῦτεdeuteG1205to the weddingγάμους.gamousG1062feastG1062.”’

5But they paidG272noG272attentionG272and wentG565their wayG565,oneὃςhosG3739to his ownἴδιονidionG2398farmἀγρόν,agronG68,anotherὃςhosG3739 G1161to his businessG1171,

6and the restλοιποὶloipoiG3062seizedκρατήσαντεςkratēsantesG2902his slavesδούλουςdoulousG1401and mistreatedὕβρισανhubrisanG5195them and killedἀπέκτειναν.apekteinanG615them.

7But the kingβασιλεὺςbasileusG935was enragedὠργίσθη,ōrgisthēG3710,and he sentπέμψαςpempsasG3992his armiesστρατεύματαstrateumataG4753and destroyedἀπώλεσενapōlesenG622thoseἐκείνουςekeinousG1565murderersφονεῖςphoneisG5406and setG1705their cityπόλινpolinG4172on fireG1705.

8ThenΤότεToteG5119he saidλέγειlegeiG3004to his slavesδούλοιςdouloisG1401, ‘The weddingγάμοςgamosG1062is readyἕτοιμόςhetoimosG2092,but thoseG3588who were invitedκεκλημένοιkeklēmenoiG2564were not worthyἄξιοι.axioiG514.

9GoπορεύεσθεporeuestheG4198thereforeοὖνounG3767tothe mainδιεξόδουςdiexodousG1327highwaysὁδῶν,hodōnG3598,and as manyὅσουςhosousG3745as you findεὕρητε,heurēteG2147there,inviteκαλέσατεkalesateG2564to the weddingγάμους.gamousG1062feastG1062.’

10ThoseἐκεῖνοιekeinoiG1565slavesδοῦλοιdouloiG1401wentἐξελθόντεςexelthontesG1831out into the streetsὁδοὺςhodousG3598and gatheredG4863togetherσυνήγαγονsunēgagonG4863allπάνταςpantasG3956they foundεὗρον,heuronG2147,bothτεteG5037evilπονηρούςponērousG4190and goodἀγαθούς·agathousG18;and the weddingG3567hallG3567was filledG4092withdinnerG345guestsG345.

11“But when the kingβασιλεὺςbasileusG935cameΕἰσελθὼνEiselthōnG1525in to lookG2300overG2300the dinnerG345guestsG345,he sawG3708a manἄνθρωπονanthrōponG444thereἐκεῖekeiG1563who was not dressedἐνδεδυμένονendedumenonG1746in weddingγάμουgamouG1062clothesἔνδυμαendumaG1742,

12and he saidλέγειlegeiG3004to him, ‘Friendἑταῖρε,hetaireG2083,howπῶςpōsG4459did you comeεἰσῆλθεςeisēlthesG1525in hereὧδεhōdeG5602withoutμὴ ἔχωνmē echōnG3361 G2192weddingγάμου;gamouG1062clothesἔνδυμαendumaG1742?’And the man was speechlessἐφιμώθη.ephimōthēG5392.

13ThenτότεtoteG5119the kingβασιλεὺςbasileusG935saidG3004to the servantsδιακόνοις·diakonoisG1249, ‘BindδήσαντεςdēsantesG1210him handχεῖραςcheirasG5495and footπόδαςpodasG4228,and throwἐκβάλετεekbaleteG1544him intothe outerἐξώτερον·exōteronG1857darknessσκότοςskotosG4655;in that placeG1563thereG1563will be weepingκλαυθμὸςklauthmosG2805and gnashingβρυγμὸςbrugmosG1030of teethὀδόντων.odontōnG3599.’
