Exodus 17:1-4
1Then the wholeH3605 congregationH5712H1121 of IsraelH3478 leftH5265 the DesertH4057 of SinH5512,1 moving from place to placeH4550 asH5921 the LORDH3068 commandedH6310. They campedH2583 at RephidimH7508, but there was noH369 waterH4325 for the peopleH5971 to drinkH8354. 2So the peopleH5971 contendedH7378 withH5973 MosesH4872, “GiveH5414 us waterH4325 to drinkH8354.”
“WhyH4100 do you contendH7378 with meH5978?” MosesH4872 repliedH559. “WhyH4100 do you testH5254 the LORDH3068?”
3But the peopleH5971 thirstedH6770 for waterH4325 thereH8033, and they grumbledH3885H5971 againstH5921 MosesH4872H559: “WhyH4100 have you brought usH5927 out of EgyptH4714—to makeH4191 usH853 andH853 our childrenH1121 and livestockH4735 die of thirstH6772?”
4Then MosesH4872 cried outH6817 toH413 the LORDH3068H559, “WhatH4100 should I doH6213 with theseH2088 peopleH5971? A little moreH5750H4592 and they will stone meH5619!”
