15Theseהָאֵ֖לֶּהha.'E.lehH428sixשֵׁשׁ־shesh-H8337citiesהֶעָרִ֥יםhe.'a.RimH5892will serveתִּהְיֶ֛ינָהtih.Yei.nahH1961as a refugeלְמִקְלָ֑טle.mik.LatH4733for the Israelitesלִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗לliv.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478and for the foreignerוְלַגֵּ֤רve.la.GerH1616or strangerוְלַתּוֹשָׁב֙ve.la.to.ShavH8453among themבְּתוֹכָ֔םbe.to.KhamH8432,so that anyoneכָּל־kol-H3605who killsמַכֵּה־ma.keh-H5221a personנֶ֖פֶשׁNe.feshH5315unintentionallyבִּשְׁגָגָֽה׃bish.ga.GahH7684may fleeלָנ֣וּסla.NusH5127thereשָׁ֔מָּהSha.mahH8033.

16If, howeverוְאִם־ve.'im-H518,anyone strikesהִכָּ֛הוּhi.Ka.huH5221a person with an ironבַרְזֶ֧ל׀var.ZelH1270objectבִּכְלִ֨יbikh.LiH3627and kills himH4191,heה֑וּאHu'H1931is a murdererרֹצֵ֣חַֽro.Tze.achH7523;the murdererהָרֹצֵֽחַ׃ha.ro.Tze.achH7523must surely be put to deathH4191.

17Or ifוְאִ֡םve.'ImH518anyone has in his handיָד֩yadH3027אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834a stoneבְּאֶ֣בֶןbe.'E.venH68of deadly sizeH4191,and he strikesהִכָּ֛הוּhi.Ka.huH5221and kills anotherH4191,he is a murdererרֹצֵ֣חַֽro.Tze.achH7523;the murdererהָרֹצֵֽחַ׃ha.ro.Tze.achH7523ה֑וּאHu'H1931must surely be put to deathH4191.

18Ifא֡וֹ'oH176anyone has in his handיָד֩yadH3027אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834a deadlyH4191objectבִּכְלִ֣יbikh.LiH3627of woodעֵֽץ־'etz-H6086,and he strikesהִכָּ֛הוּhi.Ka.huH5221and kills anotherH4191,he is a murdererרֹצֵ֣חַֽro.Tze.achH7523;the murdererה֑וּא הָרֹצֵֽחַ׃Hu' ha.ro.Tze.achH7523 H1931must surely be put to deathH4191.

19The avengerגֹּאֵ֣לgo.'ElH1350of bloodהַדָּ֔םha.DamH1818ה֥וּאhu'H1931אֶת־'et-H853is to put the murdererהָרֹצֵ֑חַha.ro.Tze.achH7523to deathיָמִ֖יתya.MitH4191;when he findsבְּפִגְעוֹ־be.fig.'ov-H6293him,heה֥וּאhu'H1931is to kill himיְמִיתֶֽנּוּ׃ye.mi.Te.nuH4191.
