39The descendantsבְּנֵ֨יbe.NeiH1121of Machirמָכִ֧ירma.KhirH4353sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Manassehמְנַשֶּׁ֛הme.na.ShehH4519wentוַיֵּ֨לְכ֜וּvai.Ye.le.KhuH1980to Gileadגִּלְעָ֖דָהgil.'A.dahH1568,captured itוַֽיִּלְכְּדֻ֑הָvai.yil.ke.Du.haH3920,and drove outוַיּ֖וֹרֶשׁvai.Yo.reshH3423אֶת־'et-H853the Amoritesהָאֱמֹרִ֥יha.'e.mo.RiH567who wereאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834there.

40So Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872אֶת־'et-H853gaveוַיִּתֵּ֤ןvai.yi.TenH5414Gileadהַגִּלְעָ֔דha.gil.'AdH1568to the clan of Machirלְמָכִ֖ירle.ma.KhirH4353sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Manassehמְנַשֶּׁ֑הme.na.ShehH4519,and they settledוַיֵּ֖שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427there.

41Jairוְיָאִ֤ירve.ya.'IrH2971,a descendantבֶּן־ben-H1121of Manassehמְנַשֶּׁה֙me.na.ShehH4519,wentהָלַ֔ךְha.LakhH1980and capturedוַיִּלְכֹּ֖דvai.yil.KodH3920אֶת־'et-H853their villagesחַוֹּתֵיהֶ֑םcha.vo.tei.HemH2333and calledוַיִּקְרָ֥אvai.yik.Ra'H7121אֶתְהֶ֖ן'et.HenH853themחַוֹּ֥תcha.VotH2334Havvoth-jairיָאִֽיר׃ya.'IrH2334.
