7They are to performוְשָׁמְר֣וּve.sha.me.RuH8104אֶת־'et-H853duties for himמִשְׁמַרְתּ֗וֹmish.mar.ToH4931וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853מִשְׁמֶ֙רֶת֙mish.Me.retH4931and for the wholeכָּל־kol-H3605congregationהָ֣עֵדָ֔הha.'e.DahH5712beforeלִפְנֵ֖יlif.NeiH6440the Tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of Meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150,attendingלַעֲבֹ֖דla.'a.VodH5647אֶת־'et-H853to the serviceעֲבֹדַ֥ת'a.vo.DatH5656of the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃ha.mish.KanH4908.

8They shall take care ofוְשָׁמְר֗וּve.sha.me.RuH8104אֶֽת־'et-H853allכָּל־kol-H3605the furnishingsכְּלֵי֙ke.LeiH3627of the Tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of Meetingמוֹעֵ֔דmo.'EdH4150andוְאֶת־ve.'EtH853fulfill obligationsמִשְׁמֶ֖רֶתmish.Me.retH4931for the Israelitesבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑לbe.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478by attendingלַעֲבֹ֖דla.'a.VodH5647אֶת־'et-H853to the serviceעֲבֹדַ֥ת'a.vo.DatH5656of the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃ha.mish.KanH4908.

9AssignH5414אֶת־'et-H853the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881to Aaronלְאַהֲרֹ֖ןle.'a.ha.RonH175and his sonsוּלְבָנָ֑יוu.le.va.NavH1121;theyהֵ֙מָּה֙he.mahH1992have been given exclusivelyH5414to himfrom amongמֵאֵ֖תme.'EtH854the Israelitesבְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃be.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478.

10Soוְאֶת־ve.'EtH853you shall appointתִּפְקֹ֔דtif.KodH6485Aaronאַהֲרֹ֤ן'a.ha.RonH175וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853and his sonsבָּנָיו֙ba.NavH1121to carry outוְשָׁמְר֖וּve.sha.me.RuH8104אֶת־'et-H853the duties of the priesthoodכְּהֻנָּתָ֑םke.hu.na.TamH3550;but any outsiderוְהַזָּ֥רve.ha.ZarH2114who approachesהַקָּרֵ֖בha.ka.RevH7131the tabernaclemust be put to deathיוּמָֽת׃ פyu.MatH4191.”

11Again the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

12“Beholdהִנֵּ֧הhi.NehH2009,Iוַאֲנִ֞יva.'a.NiH589have takenלָקַ֣חְתִּיla.Kach.tiH3947אֶת־'et-H853the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֗םhal.vi.YimH3881from amongמִתּוֹךְ֙mi.toKhH8432the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478in place ofתַּ֧חַתTa.chatH8478everyכָּל־ בְּכ֛וֹרkol- be.KhorH3605 H1060firstbornפֶּ֥טֶרPe.terH6363Israeliteמִבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑לmi.be.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478from the wombרֶ֖חֶםRe.chemH7358.The Levitesהַלְוִיִּֽם׃hal.vi.YimH3881belongוְהָ֥יוּve.Ha.yuH1961to Me,

14Then the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֤רvay.da.BerH1696toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872in the Wildernessבְּמִדְבַּ֥רbe.mid.BarH4057of Sinaiסִינַ֖יsi.NaiH5514,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,
