2And I will constrainוַהֲצִיק֖וֹתִיva.ha.tzi.Ko.tiH6693Arielלַֽאֲרִיאֵ֑לla.'a.ri.'ElH740,and there will beוְהָיְתָ֤הve.ha.ye.TahH1961mourningתַֽאֲנִיָּה֙ta.'a.ni.YahH8386and lamentationוַֽאֲנִיָּ֔הva.'a.ni.YahH592;she will beוְהָ֥יְתָהve.Ha.ye.tahH1961like an altar hearthכַּאֲרִיאֵֽל׃ka.'a.ri.'ElH740before Me.

3I will campוְחָנִ֥יתִיve.cha.Ni.tiH2583in a circleכַדּ֖וּרkha.DurH1754around youעָלָ֑יִךְ'a.La.yikhH5921;I will besiegeוְצַרְתִּ֤יve.tzar.TiH6696youעָלַ֙יִךְ֙'a.La.yikhH5921with towersמֻצָּ֔בmu.TzavH4674and set upוַהֲקִֽימֹתִ֥יva.ha.ki.mo.TiH6965siege worksמְצֻרֹֽת׃me.tzu.RotH4694against youעָלַ֖יִךְ'a.La.yikhH5921.

7Allכָּל־kol-H3605the manyהֲמוֹן֙ha.mOnH1995nationsהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471going out to battleהַצֹּבְאִ֖יםha.tzoe.'ImH6633againstעַל־'al-H5921Arielאֲרִיאֵ֑ל'a.ri.'ElH740—even allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605who war against herצֹבֶ֙יהָ֙tzo.Vei.haH6633,laying siegeוּמְצֹ֣דָתָ֔הּu.me.Tzo.da.TahH4685and attackingוְהַמְּצִיקִ֖יםve.ha.me.tzi.KimH6693her—will beוְהָיָ֗הve.ha.YahH1961like a dreamכַּֽחֲלוֹם֙ka.cha.lOmH2472,like a visionחֲז֣וֹןcha.ZonH2377in the nightלַ֔יְלָהLay.lahH3915,

9Stopהִתְמַהְמְה֣וּhit.mah.me.HuH4102and be astonishedוּתְמָ֔הוּu.te.Ma.huH8539;blind yourselvesהִשְׁתַּֽעַשְׁע֖וּhish.ta.'ash.'UH8173and be sightlessוָשֹׁ֑עוּva.Sho.'uH8173;be drunkשָֽׁכְר֣וּsha.khe.RuH7937,but notוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808with wineיַ֔יִןYa.yinH3196;staggerנָע֖וּna.'UH5128,but notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808from strong drinkשֵׁכָֽר׃she.KharH7941.

10Forכִּֽי־ki-H3588the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068has poured outנָסַ֨ךְna.SakhH5258on youעֲלֵיכֶ֤ם'a.lei.KhemH5921a spiritר֣וּחַRu.achH7307of deep sleepתַּרְדֵּמָ֔הtar.de.MahH8639.He has shutוַיְעַצֵּ֖םvay.'a.TzemH6105אֶת־'et-H853your eyesעֵֽינֵיכֶ֑ם'ei.nei.KhemH5869אֶת־'et-H853,O prophetsהַנְּבִיאִ֛יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853;He has coveredכִּסָּֽה׃ki.SahH3680your headsרָאשֵׁיכֶ֥םra.shei.KhemH7218,O seersהַחֹזִ֖יםha.cho.ZimH2374.

11And the entireהַכֹּ֗לha.KolH3605visionחָז֣וּתcha.ZutH2380will beוַתְּהִ֨יva.te.HiH1961to youlike the wordsכְּדִבְרֵי֮ke.div.ReiH1697sealedהֶֽחָתוּם֒he.cha.TumH2856in a scrollהַסֵּ֣פֶרha.Se.ferH5612.If itאֲשֶֽׁר־'a.Sher-H834is handedיִתְּנ֣וּyi.te.NuH5414אֹת֗וֹ'o.ToH853toאֶל־'el-H413someone to readיוֹדֵ֥עַ סֵ֛פֶר לֵאמֹ֖ר קְרָ֣א נָא־ זֶ֑הyo.De.a' se.fer le.Mor ke.Ra' na'- ZehH3045 H5612 H559 H7121 H4994 H2088,he will sayוְאָמַר֙ve.'a.MarH559, “I cannotלֹ֣א אוּכַ֔לlo' 'u.KhalH3808 H3201,becauseכִּ֥יkiH3588itהֽוּא׃Hu'H1931is sealedחָת֖וּםcha.TumH2856.”

12Or if the scrollהַסֵּ֗פֶרha.Se.ferH5612is handedוְנִתַּ֣ןve.ni.TanH5414toעַל֩'alH5921oneאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834unableלֹֽא־lo'-H3808to readיָדַ֥ע סֵ֛פֶר לֵאמֹ֖ר קְרָ֣א נָא־ זֶ֑הya.Da' Se.fer le.Mor ke.Ra' na'- ZehH3045 H5612 H559 H7121 H4994 H2088,he will sayוְאָמַ֕רve.'a.MarH559, “I cannot readלֹ֥א יָדַ֖עְתִּי סֵֽפֶר׃ סlo' ya.Da'.ti Se.ferH3808 H3045 H5612.”

13Thereforeיַ֚עַן כִּ֤יYa.'an kiH3282 H3588the Lordאֲדֹנָ֗י'a.do.NaiH136saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559: “Theseהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971draw near to Meנִגַּשׁ֙ni.GashH5066with their mouthsבְּפִ֤יוbe.FivH6310and honor Meכִּבְּד֔וּנִיki.be.Du.niH3513with their lipsוּבִשְׂפָתָיו֙u.vis.fa.TavH8193,but their heartsוְלִבּ֖וֹve.li.BoH3820are farרִחַ֣קri.ChakH7368from Meמִמֶּ֑נִּיmi.Me.niH4480.Their worshipיִרְאָתָם֙yir.'a.TamH3374of Meאֹתִ֔י'o.TiH853is butוַתְּהִ֤יva.te.HiH1961rulesמִצְוַ֥תmitz.VatH4687taughtמְלֻמָּדָֽה׃me.lu.ma.DahH3925by menאֲנָשִׁ֖ים'a.na.ShimH582.

14Thereforeלָכֵ֗ן הִנְנִ֥יla.Khen hi.NiH3651 H2005I will againיוֹסִ֛ףyo.SifH3254confoundלְהַפְלִ֥יאle.haf.Li'H6381אֶת־'et-H853theseהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088peopleהָֽעָם־ha.'om-H5971with wonderהַפְלֵ֣אhaf.Le'H6381upon wonderוָפֶ֑לֶאva.Fe.le'H6382.The wisdomחָכְמַ֣תcha.khe.MatH2451of the wiseחֲכָמָ֔יוcha.kha.MavH2450will vanishוְאָֽבְדָה֙ve.'a.ve.DahH6,and the intelligenceוּבִינַ֥תu.vi.NatH998of the intelligentנְבֹנָ֖יוne.vo.NavH995will be hiddenתִּסְתַּתָּֽר׃ סtis.ta.TarH5641.”

15Woeה֛וֹיHoH1945to those who dig deepהַמַּעֲמִיקִ֥יםha.ma.'a.mi.KimH6009to hideלַסְתִּ֣רlas.TirH5641their plansעֵצָ֑ה וְהָיָ֤ה'e.Tzah ve.ha.YahH6098 H1961from the LORDמֵֽיהוָ֖הme.Yah.wehH3068.In darknessבְמַחְשָׁךְ֙ve.mach.shoKhH4285they do their worksמַֽעֲשֵׂיהֶ֔םma.'a.sei.HemH4639and sayוַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559, “Whoמִ֥יmiH4310sees usרֹאֵ֖נוּro.'E.nuH7200,and whoוּמִ֥יu.MiH4310will knowיוֹדְעֵֽנוּ׃yod.'E.nuH3045?”

17In a veryהֲלוֹא־ עוֹד֙ha.lo'- 'OdH3808 H5750shortמְעַ֣טme.'AtH4592timeמִזְעָ֔רmiz.'ArH4213, will notLebanonלְבָנ֖וֹןle.va.NonH3844becomeוְשָׁ֥בve.ShavH7725an orchardלַכַּרְמֶ֑לla.kar.MelH3759,and the orchardוְהַכַּרְמֶ֖לve.ha.kar.MelH3759seemיֵחָשֵֽׁב׃ye.cha.ShevH2803like a forestלַיַּ֥עַרlai.Ya.'arH3293?

19The humbleעֲנָוִ֛ים'a.na.VimH6035will increaseוְיָסְפ֧וּve.ya.se.FuH3254theirjoyשִׂמְחָ֑הsim.ChahH8057in the LORDבַּֽיהוָ֖הba.Yah.wehH3068,and the poorוְאֶבְיוֹנֵ֣יve.'ev.yo.NeiH34among menאָדָ֔ם'a.DamH120will rejoiceיָגִֽילוּ׃ya.Gi.luH1523in the Holy Oneבִּקְד֥וֹשׁbik.Do.oshH6918of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478.

20Forכִּֽי־ki-H3588the ruthlessעָרִ֖יץ'a.RitzH6184will vanishאָפֵ֥ס'a.FesH656,the mockersלֵ֑ץLetzH3887will disappearוְכָ֣לָהve.Kha.lahH3615,and allכָּל־kol-H3605who lookשֹׁ֥קְדֵיSho.ke.deiH8245for evilאָֽוֶן׃'A.venH205will be cut downוְנִכְרְת֖וּve.nikh.re.TuH3772—

21those who indictמַחֲטִיאֵ֤יma.cha.ti.'EiH2398a manאָדָם֙'a.DamH120with a wordבְּדָבָ֔רbe.da.VarH1697,who ensnareיְקֹשׁ֑וּןye.ko.ShunH6983the mediatorוְלַמּוֹכִ֥יחַve.la.mo.Khi.achH3198at the gateבַּשַּׁ֖עַרba.Sha.'arH8179,and who with false chargesבַתֹּ֖הוּva.To.huH8414deprive the innocentצַדִּֽיק׃ סtza.DikH6662of justiceוַיַּטּ֥וּvai.ya.TuH5186.

22Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834redeemedפָּדָ֖הpa.DahH6299אֶת־'et-H853Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֑ם'av.ra.HamH85saysאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559כֹּֽה־koh-H3541ofאֶל־'el-H413the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Jacobיַֽעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290: “Noלֹֽא־lo'-H3808longerעַתָּ֤ה'a.TahH6258will Jacobיַֽעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290be ashamedיֵבוֹשׁ֙ye.Vo.oshH954and noוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808moreעַתָּ֖ה'a.TahH6258will his faceפָּנָ֥יוpa.NavH6440grow paleיֶחֱוָֽרוּ׃ye.che.Va.ruH2357.

24Then the waywardתֹֽעֵי־to.'ei-H8582in spiritר֖וּחַRu.achH7307will comeוְיָדְע֥וּve.ya.de.'UH3045to understandingבִּינָ֑הbi.NahH998,and those who grumbleוְרוֹגְנִ֖יםve.rog.NimH7279will acceptיִלְמְדוּ־yil.me.du-H3925instructionלֶֽקַח׃Le.kachH3948.”
